Great implementation, nice screen
Plugged in the BingoHive OBD2 Scanner directly into my 2019 Jeep Cherokee and it functions fast and has a great screen presentation for all of it’s function. Above and beyond the standard ODB2 codes available it allows Realtime graphical mapping of the goings-on in the engine. The battery life estimates are comforting as well as watching the battery voltage fluctuation during use is very interesting. I initially had a bad experience with operating /charging voltage on this vehicle which was traced to a faulty ground at about 10,000 miles. I now have close to 100,000 and things are still rock solid. The graphs generated are very impressive and auto scaling. They truly enhance the utility of this device greatly compared to other slightly less expensive units I have tried.The ODB function scan is fast and the built-in library of codes is helpful to have right there on the screen.I have not tested the bluetooth cloud capabilities of the unit as there are no issues showing at present but will do so if the need arises. The added features available in their connected software enhance the basic functions available directly on the unit. The amount of functions available on a unit at this cost level is truly impressive. I would recommend this for the typical back-yard mechanic that knows enough to understand what the codes are telling you.

Feels like a pro-grade tool for a fraction of the price.
My father was a professional mechanic for most of my life, and I was always fascinated by the diagnostic tools like this, which he said were only ever available at work and were too expensive for him to have at home. That was a long time ago, and products like this make it easy to diagnose and solve problems you’d normally have to pay an expert to look at, or at the least, go bother the guys at the auto parts store who may or may not know what to do with the results.This tool is great: The UI is easy to navigate, even without pairing to your phone, though I recommend doing so for the additional functionality of an internet connection.It’s easy to pull diagnostic codes and immediately see what they mean, clear old codes, and monitor engine sensors and functionality. It even has a functional battery test, so you don’t have to risk getting ripped off at the oil change shop or finding out about your dying battery on a cold winter morning before work. I’ve already found plenty of use for this tool on our own cars, and have even found it handy for checking out what was wrong with my grandmother’s truck.For such a bargain, I couldn’t be happier.

Good basic scanner that is easy to setup and use
This is a good, but very basic, OBD II scanner. The interface is well designed, it is easy to read, and manages basic tasks well. I also like that the scanner has a cable that attaches to the vehicle’s OBD II port. This makes setup MUCH easier because it removes the need for a mobile device to pair with or connect to the sensor plugged into the port. However, it only reports the basic OBD II error codes and cannot report any of the extended codes used by auto manufacturers.So, if you’re looking for a basic tool that will report all of the base codes and packaged in an easy to setup and use package, then this is a good choice.

A TON of functionality!
I got to use this on a co-workers truck and help him figure out is trouble. The truck wouldn’t start without a jump and I was able to quickly see that the alternator was not charging because of the live read outs this bad boy gave us. This reads codes as well, obviously. But, the truck wasn’t throwing a code for some reason. This one has a big color screen so its easy to read day or night and is priced very well for all it does. Description claims that it has Bluetooth as well, I haven’t even messed with that yet. Really happy with all it does and looking forward to learning what else it can do.

Great for me as iam amateur user
I am not professional but works for male nicely. On My first use, it did not a guide to see what is check engine light for it. If you are basic computer user, that interface is very easy to follow to solve your problem.I did not practice it yet serious further point but asa far as i used, it is light weight and easy to use. It gets power from car.

Perfect for home gamer or mechanic that just needs to connect to the ECU
This scan tool is FAST! It connects and will give you trouble codes quickly with no hassle. It also has the ability to pull live data to help you diagnose issues with various vehicle systems live. It also has an app that will let you see this with more detail on your phone! I am honestly stunned at how many features this has for the price! If you are just a garage mechanic it is absolutely worth it just to pull your codes and test various functions (injectors, solenoids, etc) as well as get battery status. This will NOT however pull codes from other systems like ABS, TPMS, or other non engine systems. You also can NOT do hot functions on this in other vehicle systems…. Fore example if you are doing your brakes and have an electronic parking brake you can NOT use this to put the parking brake into “pad service mode”This is not a huge deal because the price is RIGHT! Any scanner with major functions in other systems is going to cost significantly more! In the end this is definitely worth having in your tool box!

A little clunky but it is helpful
I’ve already needed to use this 3 or so times since I got it a couple weeks ago. It takes a bit to get the hang of it and navigate through everything. I’m still learning it, but on the 2nd and 3rd time it got easier. The manual is helpful, but could be a little better.It was nice being able to read the battery level, narrows down the problems. I was able to rule out needing a battery and went down the right road of replacing the starter. Also, it helped diagnose a check engine light and know what the issue was without having to take it to a shop and spend $150 for a diagnostic.Overall a great piece of equipment that will prove to be helpful for years to come. Hope it last a long time.
