Worked Perfectly, Saved Lots of Money
So, the heating element went out of my Kenmore dryer. The appliance repairman said it was going to cost $250 to fix. I did some research and found this part package. Between the clearly labeled components and a few YouTube videos, I successfully installed this package. There are a couple ways to replace the element. I removed the back and top of the dryer to get heating element housing out. While you’re doing this, it’s a great time to take a ShopVac to the inside and clean up all that lint that escapes. It’s a great idea to make sure all stray items are removed before you close up the dryer. The drum moves in the dryer and any screws or wrenches will get caught in the drum belt and cause lots of damage. And, most importantly, unplug the dryer before opening it and completely seal it before closing it. With average mechanical ability, you can install this package.

Great replacement heater element. perfect fit replacement.
Not as easy to install as all the videos but that was because my dryer was different model. Had to replace from front. Great value and fast delivery so we were able to dry laundry before it piled up. Dryer works better than before so heats great.

Great value but a chore to install. Extended my dryer life nearly 3 years.
My 10-year-old Cabrio dryer wasn’t heating up so I bought this to see if it would help given the low cost. Just received the element but it worked perfectly after the installation. I’m not an appliance repair person so it took me a while to get this installed. Easy enough once you figure out how to get to the old one, etc. You definitely have to play Twister for a while 🙂 This just died on me almost 3 years later. So, for the value, it’s done the job.

$30 for this part, and it will extend the life of your dryer. Well worth it.
Bought this heating element for my Whirlpool Cabrio dryer. If you are decent at mechanical things you can change this yourself. You probably need to take the dryer completely apart, but it really isn’t that difficult. If you can’t find the manual, look under the head control unit. Usually has two screws securing it to the dryer.I would recommend taking the old heating element out first, then find the part number on the element itself. That way you know you’re getting the right part. The part itself works great. Had seen reviews suggesting that it doesn’t last, but so far so good for me. Has been months and no problems at all. If it does go out, then I’ll just replace it again. $30 versus $500 plus for a new dryer. Btw, the Whirlpool element is around $130, so this is still better than going that route, imo. Good product.

Arrived fast, and fixed my dryer
The product arrived via Amazon’s “Next Day Delivery” and I set to fixing my crippled Whirlpool Duet electric clothes dryer. The heater coil element was a direct match for my broken coil. I ordered the kit with the two other parts to give everything an upgrade. One of the two side parts(output thermistor?) was not a direct match, but it was worth a shot, so I left my original part in place. The installation was quick and easy and worked. I also appreciated the email with additional “tips” I received from the seller (Blue Stars). It was a nice touch. I’d definitely order appliance parts from them again in the future.

ELEMENT FAILED AT 21 MONTHS
The heating element fit excellently into the element housing. Operational test is satisfactory. The sensors were not replaced, as the original problem was a broken heating element coil. The sensors will be kept as spares to use if OEM sensor(s) should fail. The price is great, as compared to OEM price. The quality of the materials appears comparable. All went well until the element failed at 21 months. This is not a consumable. I’m replacing it with the OEM part.

Fit our Kenmore Elite 2008 dryer and it works!!!
Item arrived early AM on the day it was suppose to be delivered….Dec 23rd! My husband installed it and my dryer is working now. He got lazy and only replaced the big heating element which was the faulty part. He is saving the other two parts. Its awful to be without a dryer for 2 days around the holidays but now I am back in business. Thank you to Blue Star for being so timely. We saved so much money doing it ourselves. We googled the issue, saw the solution, tested the bad part with a meter then ordered the new kit. Install was easy, removing the old part took a little more effort and time. For $30 I saved an 11 year old dryer! My husband is handy and has some electrical knowledge. But this is a job most people can do even if you do not have a meter. Its a little time consuming, take pictures so you remember how it all went back together and watch utube videos so you have the basics. It took him about an hour to disassemble (half of that time is getting the right tools) and 30 minutes or less to put it back together.
