Easy Breathing & Clean Air
Unit was slightly larger than expected, but still small enough to be discrete. Attractive design. Basic, no frills model that does a terrific job. It is completely silent on lowest and very quiet on higher fan speeds. No annoying light stays on to show the unit is operating. It does an excellent job in our primary bedroom. Highly recommend.

It simply works, and it’s fantastic
I never thought I’d need one of these, but my son has been getting stuffy at night for these past few months and it disrupts his sleep. This air purifier started working pretty much immediately. Even I didn’t realize how bad my allergies were til we started using this, and I breathe so much easier now. It has a “night mode” which just means the fan is lower and quieter, but we sleep with a fan anyway and like the noise. So we turn it all the way up for max effect during the night and just leave it running on the low setting during the day. We got the mini as our rooms are on the smaller side and it works exactly as I’d hoped it would. It’s also a nicely sized and cute machine. There are different color fabrics you can put over the outside which I plan on getting later on. It’s extremely simple to use and so lightweight I was actually worried about the quality, but it works so well and is totally worth the price point. Zero complaints about this machine. Will buy this one again if the need ever arises.

Difficult to understand use, no clear on and off
I like the effectiveness of this air purifier so as far as performance goes, I think it should have five stars. Since there’s no way of testing air quality and we just have to go on faith, I’m guessing that it’s a good quality machine. However, clearly it was designed with aesthetics in mind and not practicality. It’s difficult to turn on an off or to know how to turn it higher or lower. You do this with a series of taps on the top ring. It’s very Star Trek in a very unnecessary way. I love Star Trek. I love everything about Star Trek. I don’t think even they would’ve kept this on the enterprise because it’s too annoying to use , however, having said that I just turned mine on low and keep it on all the time. I have noticed that environmental allergies bother me much less this year. If you are into the super modern look and have the gray walls that all designers think everyone should have now, you might love this look and usage facility might not bother you. I don’t think an older person would be able to use this easily. The only thing that lets you know if it’s on or off is a light that shines for a moment when you tap it. There is delay in the action so you don’t know if you’ve actually turned it up higher or turned it off for a few seconds, so if you’re impatient like me and tap it again, you’ll probably accidentally turn it off and have to start all over again . Again, weird design, leaving you confused. Is very silent and that’s a big plus. It probably deserves one more star, but I’m too annoyed with the lack of the on and off clarity to increase my stars. Here’s an idea, how about somebody make a vintage looking air purifier with simple on off switches, make it look like a vintage radio. I bet that would be a big seller, the nice old-fashioned knobs. On and off.I have no idea how I’m going to change the filter when it’s time to change it, the whole thing is a mystery as to how it’s assembled, and I wish they would just include a few extra filters with the purchase so then you weren’t trying to figure out what kind of machine you have and which kind of filters to buy six months later. I’d be willing to pay extra to have the extra filters delivered with the purchase. If I sound annoyed it’s because I am. But I’m sure the machine is good quality.Updated review 9/11/24: The machine is actually silent on low. It’s been on all day and I didn’t even know it. You literally cannot hear it at all on its lowest setting. It also did a great job getting rid of a smell that was from something burned in my kitchen. So it is a very effective machine. I also now am wondering if the thing that I found fault with is actually a benefit to older people with arthritis if they cannot turn a knob, then just tapping the top might be very helpful to them. In fact, anyone with mobility issues could put this beside their bed and just tap it at night in the dark and it would be easy to use for them. Because it is silent, it will not work for you as a white noise machine. I’m now going to add a star. Xo

My Blue Heeler sleeps with me. I’m allergic to dog dander. I’ve relied on Reactine and steroid eye drops (itchiness). Have not used either since getting this.Ensure you close your bedroom door and try to put it in a central spot. Low and med setting are very quiet. High setting a little too loud. I use med and it works great.Filters are a good price as well, something you need to consider when buying a purifier. This company has 3 different purpose filters you can get. Machine comes with the standard filter.Also watch for the micron filtering rating. This one goes down to 0.1 micron. Forget the ones that only go to 0.3 microns as that is to big of an air particle for good clean air.

I love this bedroom sized air purifier from Blueair! The controls are easy to use and logical, the white produced is something I enjoy as well, of course can adjust speed to reduce any noise if you wanted to. I was able to pull out of the box and use within minutes and the sleek simple look makes me comfortable to leave it out in the table full time.

March 22, 2023, I am so happy I bought this BLUE Pure 411 Auto air purifier, just wish I had years ago! Full disclosure, I have severe indoor and outdoor allergies year round, post nasal drip and I have asthma. Needless to say I usually spend a lot of money on tissues, allergy medication, sinus rinse supplies and have to remove dust from my home daily and launder bedding every 3 days.Already I can breathe better, no coughing/wheezing, wake up with clear sinuses and haven’t even needed my allergy meds! It really clears out airborne odours (food/farts/sweat) and dust. It makes a huge difference for air quality especially when I am sleeping, no more snoring from plugged sinuses. I like the sound of a fan as it buffers noise from outside traffic or loud music/voices. So, I don’t find this loud at all, even on it’s highest setting and it’s always on high 24/7.I will update this review in 6 months and add further information based on my experience but so far it simply amazing and affordable!****UPDATE!***July 20, 2024 It’s been a year and three months! This little machine is a beast! I keep this one at my bedside. I have had it running on its highest air purifying function 24/7 since the day it arrived! It is only off while changing filters. I absolutely love it and when it is in stock I highly recommend buying it! I will be buying more of them for other rooms. I change my “inner round accordion ” filters every 3 to 6 months. I do recommend having extra filters both inner and outer just make sure they are for your specific machine. I have found that the non blue air versions of the cloth filters often do not fit well and some are made of materials that blocked the air purify function/suction. I did recently purchase a two pack of “inner” filters that are not “blue air” brand and they do fit but I will update in 3 to 6 months and let you know if they are good quality or not and provide the brand of the ones I bought. I do not think they are as good as the Blueair brand so far….I can see through the inner black part of the filter and that is not a good sign as large particles of dust and everything else smaller will be going through it instead of collected so don’t believe they are real hepa filters.I do find that the “red” light feature that indicates the filters need to be changed is not reliable so I simply make note on my chore calendar to change the filter. I have also noticed that the outer cloth filters need to be cleaned much more often. You can easily do this by vacuuming them with a hand vac or a shop vac. I have a lot of allergies to dust and asthma so I do clean mine every day or two with a quick vac of the hand vac and I either hand wash it or machine was it every two weeks by slipping it into a mesh lingerie bag and just toss it in with a load of washcloths and towels.I will be curious to know how well this machine works as we enter into Summer “forest fire season”. I will continue to provide updates with my experiences with this BLUE Pure 411 Auto air purifier! Take care and happy shopping!

The item arrived quickly and worked as intended, shipped directly from the US by Amazon. It seems to be high quality and looks good. My understanding is that the benefits of this unit are: 1. looks good, 2. uses washable fabric prefilter to take some of the work away from the hepa filter, 3. contains an air quality sensor, 4. has a night mode which is quiet and where the light is dimmed, and 5. probably more importantly, uses the high quality hepa filters from Blueair. My wife trusts the Blueair filters and this is probably the most important differentiator for this product. In other respects, it is similar to other filters which are available. If you like Blueair, I’m happy to recommend this.
