Get 3x the clean with the POWERSERIES Extreme Pet 20V MAX Cordless Stick Vacuum. This cordless vacuum features an angled floorhead that’s designed for multiple surfaces, from hardwood to area rugs to carpets — just use the 3-speed control to make your selection. The V-shaped bristle pattern tackles all types of messes, including pet hair, dust, and crumbs, and the patented anti-tangle brush bar minimizes hair wrap to maximize suction power. For added power, the twist-to-clean filter amps up the suction even more, while 55 minutes of runtime ensures long-lasting use. The stick vacuum also features LED lights on the floorhead, helping you to zero in on hidden dirt, and it even converts to a handheld vacuum with an extra-long crevice tool for those hard-to-reach spaces. Emptying debris is simple thanks to a front-facing dustbin, which also allows the vacuum to lay flat for cleaning tough-to-reach areas. And when you’re done, simply remove the 20V MAX battery to charge it separately — or leave it attached for simple charging while the vacuum stands on its own or hangs from its wall mount. Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Nominal voltage is 18 volts. Dustbin Capacity .75 Liter.

I Love This Vacuum!
I researched this vacuum heavily before purchasing it. I was drawn to it because I already have a bunch of Black & Decker batteries and my first cordless vacuum was useless because of the internal battery having a short life. I figured with this one having removable batteries I could vacuum until the cows came home if I so desired… and I was right. I’d also like to point out that if the battery dies completely you can just buy a new battery rather than a whole new vacuum.Because I am not fighting with a cord I vacuum every single day now. Maybe some of you do that anyway but I HATE fighting with the cord so before this vacuum I would be lucky to vacuum once a week and I have 4 furry friends so it wasn’t a good situation. The pros:- The suction on carpet is amazing. As others have said it may be too strong so I don’t use the highest setting with the floorhead attached. It is actually better than my corded big name brand vacuum. (And I do love that name brand vacuum I just hate its cord & price tag.)- I have a small house so I can do my whole house on one charge with the 2AH batter that is included.- It does stand on its own on a flat surface. It does feel more stable on carpet though.- You can charge it multiple ways. You can mount the charging base to the wall and put the vacuum on it, or just the battery. Additionally you can pull the charger out of the base (or if you have other B+D products you may have one out already) that you can use on the vacuum or pull the battery off and put it on the charger.- Because its cordless it so much easier to pull it out really quick to just do a small area or mess.- Some may see this as a con but I don’t: it will not pick up large items on the floor like cheerios or marbles because the floorhead is so close to the floor. This works out better for me because I can just push the cat toys out of my way without sucking them up on accident.Cons:- I don’t like the canister. It is easy enough to remove & replace but the design makes it difficult to empty the hair completely without sticking your hand up in it. Considering this is the pet model they should have taken that into consideration when designing it.- I am hoping this will get easier with age but the sections are difficult to remove. I remove the floor head but use the wand to get into corners but it doesn’t want to come off easily. I have to set it down and use two hands to yank it off whereas with my old vacuum I could easily hold the top with one hand and use the other hand to pop off the floorhead while standing and go.- It doesn’t like cat litter. It sticks to the bristles in the floorhead and then the moment the suction turns off it will drop back onto the floor. So I make it a habit to hold the floor head over the garbage before turning it off & shake it a little after. Seems to do the trick.Opinion based Cons:- The lights on the floorhead turn off if you turn off the floorhead. I only need the lights in areas that have hardwood so I really would prefer if they had separate on/off buttons.- There is no light for using attachments. Please Black+Decker, give us the option to buy a flashlight that will mount onto the attachment holder!- Did it really need to be purple, Black+Decker? Maybe it’s just me but I would like my Black+Decker tools to be … I don’t know… black? It would be great if it matched my black & orange batteries.Again, I love this vacuum and I would highly recommend anyone buying it.

SUCKS! In the good sense
My primary vacuum cleaner is a $800 Miele. I have two large hairy dogs, a baby otw, mainly tile floors with some area rugs. I once had a cordless Dyson 10 years back for comparison.I’m quite shocked how much this thing sucks. You actually can clean your house with this, it deserves the name vacuum cleaner. It’s particularly respectable on carpet (even fluffs it up – a bit) but also works well on tile. It’s true that it will not pick up large debris unless you remove the brushhead but it picks up “regular household dirt” (hair, crumbs, sand, mud coming off shoes etc) more than well enough. I keep the brush running even on tile because I feel like it works better (even with my Miele combo-head). I’m not concerned about the canister mechanism breaking right away like others have started, seems solid enough to me. The pet hair attachment is “ok” I’d say – the comparison to my motorized little Miele brush is probably not fair. What I don’t love: It is not super lightweight, it’s fine if you push it around but if you use it in handheld mode for extended periods you’ll start to feel the weight. The Dyson I had was even easier to maneuver around and lighter – but it was much more expensive and didn’t clean nearly as well (can’t speak to current models, I’m sure they’ve evolved). Another minor gripe are the filters, I can see that those might be a pain to clean (haven’t yet). But generic ones are cheap.I wanted something that will be ready to use in seconds to clean up dog hair anytime so my baby will not be breaded in hair. This fits the bill even more nicely than I had hoped, especially for only $100 (warehouse deal, acceptable – arrived unused only without manual). I picked this one because we already have several Black & Decker tools with batteries (we are very happy with all of them). Pro-Tip: Some of those tools cost only marginally more than a new battery by itself, so consider getting yourself a weed wacker or drill if you have any use for them at all. Will I be selling my Miele? Of course not. But I’m impressed enough that I’d say it could be an only vacuum for some people.

Good enough to replace my corded upright. Excellent value
it has a decent amount of suction and isn’t too noisy. the roller bar doesn’t seem to collect tangled dog hair, so care is easy. The best part is that it runs off of ubiquitous 20V B&D batteries- of which I have quite a few that go with my other tools. And- you’ll need extra batteries, as the included battery will last about 13 minutes (when new). The off-brand aftermarket ones that are cheaper, will last 10 min (even though they say they hold more charge… they don’t. So- you’ll need 2 or 3.The dirt cup is easy to empty (it’s not that big) and the pieces of it disassemble easily for cleaning. The downside is that the filter- which works well, can fill up with dust in one 10-15min use. you can knock the dust out and wash them off- but definitely buy a pack of replacement filters (not expensive).Best part about it is the convenience and ease of use. Not dealing with a power cord. Seems to pick up a lot of stuff. Great on dog hair.Minor complaint: I love the LED lighting on the front- lets you really see the dirt on hardwood floor. However, if you press the button to shut off the beater bar… the light goes out. So- I just use it on my floors with the beater bar operating- which seems to work just fine.Oh- positioning the dirt cup to clip back into the device- can be a little finicky. You need to have it positioned correctly. There are may be better cordless stick vacuums out there- but probably not for this price.

I researched cordless vacs on Consumer Reports and while none were actually recommended, this one got a very good rating when compared to the higher priced Dyson and Shark models. When it came in, I was extremely pleased by the ease of assembly. Everything snaps together securely and comes apart just as easily to use the other attachments. The dirt cup was what really impressed me. It’s so easy to remove, take apart and reassemble. When disassembled, there a dial that you can turn to remove excess dust from the filter. Said filter can also be washed and reused after being left to dry. Replacements are available if required. I primarily use this on a bare floor which was why I decided on a cordless model in the first place. I see many people complaining that these vacuums, in general, will not clean their deep carpets. Well, that’s not what they were designed for. Do your research and establish your needs before buying. This unit, on high suction, stuck itself to the bare floor. Plenty of suction on low power to pick up dust and debris. I tried the beater bar and found it wasn’t really necessary on bare floors. When I did try it, I found I had to go slowly or it would kick some dirt forward. I have a small, ridged area carpet which I cleaned using the beater bar and high suction setting. It was in the basement and covered with sawdust. Again, I was very impressed. It cleaned it very well. The only negative, according to Consumer Reports, was in the edge cleaning. Well I decided to test that before I wrote this and I had no issues picking up dirt when I ran the unit parallel to the wall. I just looked up replacement batteries. The Black and Decker brand, at the time of writing, is about 80 dollars. There are aftermarket ones for about half that price although there might be differences in durability. I probably won’t have the opportunity to see how long the battery lasts before needing a recharge as the area I clean doesn’t take that long. I thing it’s advertised as 20 minutes. I turn it on and off as required when I use it. I didn’t install the wall mount but I find that it stands on it’s own very well and with the handle locked in the upright position, it has no tendency to want to fall over on it’s own. I have no hesitation recommending this particular unit. I did, however, buy the insurance from Assurion, because….well, you never know. It was reasonable and about 35 dollars for 3 years after the manufacturer warranty expires. Happy cleaning!!

This little guy is super convenient and does what it says. It has enough power to clean normal floors and area rugs, so I use it daily and the house has never been so clean. I spilled a pile of epsum salt this a.m. and it went through it like it wasn’t even there. The battery life is short, that’s the only negative, but this is a great little vacuum for the price. Time will tell however, it’s only been 1 week.
