Loving this Toaster Oven
Bought a toaster oven in April that turned out to be a lemon. Thankfully got a refund under warranty. Then the search was on for a different one. Finally settled on this oversized Black and Decker one. We have fondly named her Big Momma. So far she has not disappointed. We use the oven everyday and often multiple times a day. It is easier than heating up the stove. After the initial smell passed, it has baked, broiled and toasted including items for Thanksgiving dinner. I love the extra space for 2 trays or a 9×13. We fit two small casserole dishes in there for Thanksgiving. It bakes well, a little faster than the recommended times, but I know to adjust. I’m still trying to gauge the right time for toasting, but we don’t do that as often. I’m very happy with it an relieved to not have things burning and a working timer after our last toaster oven disaster. The price was right on sale and I’m glad I picked this one.

Just received my third one!
I have just received my third oven of this model. The other two lasted about four years each with everyday use. Not just toasting in the morning, but this is my actual oven for cooking. I never use my big oven. I am a baby boomer and I have come to terms with things not lasting like they used to. That being said, this oven has served me well. I got it originally for the wide oven capacity. For the two of us, this is perfect. I have read the other reviews, and yes when it was getting older, I noticed it became loud on the cooking part, not the toaster. And then finally the oven part went, and only the toaster worked. But I didn’t care if it played a tune while it cooked, I still liked it. No glass ever shattered, and I didn’t notice the temperature being subpar either. It cooked chicken, pork, casseroles, everything, or I would not have gotten a third one. For the most part I was quite pleased with it. I noticed they now have a newer version with a air fry option. Nope, I know better. I just stuck with what worked. I don’t need any fancy add ons. Just one more thing to break. My guess is it doesn’t air fry like a dedicated air fryer anyway. One more thing, I gave it one star because the grate cleans ok and the tray, which I cover with foil anyway. I stopped trying to clean the cavity of a toaster oven long ago, so no. Never bothered. I just bought new. So there you have it.UPDATE: I like honest reviews so I am going to put this here. Having had my new oven for several weeks now, I notice the cooking/baking selection makes a loud noise. Annoyingly loud. My other ones did when they were on the way out. This one is new and it is making the noise. The toaster, broil selections are quiet. Just the low sound of a ticking timer. Needless to say, after this one, I am going to try to find something else. It is too bad because I loved the width of this one. But I cannot listen to this oven. I have to put the TV on louder since my kitchen/family room is one area. I will not stop using it, but to say it is annoying is an understatement. So if this seems like something you can stand, go ahead. The oven cooks quickly, is wide and I like everything else about it. But it WILL be my last because of the noise. Color me disappointed.

This works very well!!!
This is a very good basic counter oven. It has baked and roasted well. I love the size, big enough bake a cake or 2 loaves of bread, a tray of veggies. The rack has a stop so it doesn’t pull out by accident. Nice! It is a little noisy, and not well insulated. I’d love if it was well insulated enough to not be hot on the top and sides (would also save more energy and $). This is why 4, not 5, stars. I’m so glad I didn’t buy a different expensive oven.

Throw away your cute little toaster oven pans. It’s time for the adult version!
*****8/2/2018 Update – I have not had any problems with this toaster oven and my family and I have used it daily for the past year. I gladly stand by my review and would/will buy another one in a heartbeat.*****There are tons of reviews on this thing already so I will get straight to the point by answering the questions that still lingered in my brain when considering this toaster oven after reading all of the reviews.Does it fit a 9×13 casserole dish with handles? Heck yeah…and then some. We are cooking dishes in our toaster oven that feed a family of 5. We have owned this for a week now and have not turned on our full size oven yet. Seriously. We may miss a full oven around the holidays, but 363 days a year we will probably wonder why we have a full oven taking up so much space. We have joked about getting another one for when we need “double ovens”. At $50….why not?Is it worth the money and if so, why is it so cheap? Yes, it is worth the money. If you have experienced the build quality of say a Breville toaster oven, you will know why it is $50 instead of $300. Does it still look nice and feel like it will last for years? Absolutely. Can it make toast, and if so, is it as slow as everyone says? Yes, it makes beautiful toast. Is it slow? I haven’t drag raced it against my toaster-toaster yet, probably should, but it doesn’t feel slower. Couple that with the fact that I can make 8 pieces of toast at once for my growing family…I would say that it is much, much faster overall.Does it get as hot on the outside as others say? Oh, heck yeah. There are warnings all over the place and they aren’t kidding. I clocked the top at 160F when heated to 450F inside. Remember though, you are cooking a full 9×13 pan of lasagna in this thing so just give it a little room to work. It preheats faster and runs cooler than your full oven, it’s just not as well insulated at $50.Is it noisy? My kids can be noisy. My lawnmower is noisy. This thing is just circulating warm air…making me dinner. If this is noisy, you are spending too much time alone. Is there only 1 rack? Yes. Why? Because if you have 2 racks, people will put toast on both racks and then the bottoms of the top rack and the tops of the bottom rack will not get toasted, and they will complain. A lot of people are placing the crumb tray in the wrong spot (which is very, very easy to do) then complaining that it doesn’t bake/toast properly. This is why there is 1 rack.In summary, this thing is worth every penny, and in fact, once you buy it and use it with your adult size dishes, you will probably wonder why they aren’t charging more for it.

Great looking and works perfectly.
So far so good. Follow the instructions and you won’t have any problems. Looks great and cleans up easily. I’ve cooked frozen biscuits, waffles, toast, pizza, cinnamon rolls, and roasted broccoli. Kid friendly.

This oven allows you to use a large muffin pan and longer casserole dishes, great for cooking a whole dressed chicken.

This product works on a 110V AC source . Amazon is supplying it with a local step down transformer from 230V to 110V to make it suitable for Indian conditions . The transformer supplied is not working . I made a complaint to Black & Decker who sent a technician and he rectified the transformer on his second visit . Within the first use , the main MCB tripped indicating overload or short circuit in the transformer . Black & Decker refuses to service / replace the transformer saying it’s not their product . It’s just been a month since delivery and issue isn’t getting resolved . Will Amazon come forward to sort out the mess ?

A lot of good things about it, but toaster doesn’t work well at all. Bread gets hard n crisp, but no browning at all until so hard that you can’t eat it. Yep my settings rechecked and accurate. It has no indication to show or sound, that oven has reached set temp. A bit annoying, but otherwise a good and very roomy toaster oven.
