Amazing vacuum, incredible power and maneuverability with great features
This is the third Bissell Pet Allergen vacuum I have bought. The first was for a cabin; I loved it so much I bought another for our home. When we discovered a severe mold issue and sensitivity, I used the one we had to vacuum and decontaminate our items but decided to purchase a new one when we moved to start fresh. Having a sealed HEPA system was very important! This was an upgraded model, and while I missed the retractable cord, I was thrilled with the lift-off system.Pros:I have intermittent back issues that keep me from using a heavy vacuum. While this is not the most lightweight vacuum, it pushes with such ease that I wondered if it was self-propelled. When the pod is removed for detachable, canister vacuuming it is light. This is such an upgrade, as we previously had to have one person move the base of the vacuum with the hose while another person used the attachment, or else the vacuum would tip over. Great design upgrade!The headlight on the front illuminates every dust, crumb, and hair, so I get as much picked up as possible. This light was much stronger than the previous model I had.The Sealed HEPA Allergen System is the most important for us at this time. This means it has a HEPA filter that captures and holds 99.97% of the dust and particles inside without blowing them back out, up to 0.3 microns.The power of this vacuum far surpasses any other vacuum I have used. It is incredibly easy to maneuver and almost feels as if it is helping propel itself. The surface technology that automatically shifts from carpet to hardwood is a huge bonus.The canister is easy to empty from the bottom. It removes with a push of a button, and the bottom opens to empty debris with another push of a button.Cons:The only thing I miss from the previous model is the retractable cord. On the other hand, my kids do not miss it as sometimes it would retract unpredictably and wildly.

Golden Retriever Hair Buster
First let me say I never write reviews, or very rarely, other than selecting the stars to rate it. This vacuum however is different. I recently got a Golden Retriever puppy, who is now 8 months and 60 pounds of puppy! This dog, my dog, has hair. Lots and lots of hair. And this hair does not know it’s winter yet and just doesn’t want to stay on her! There is hair everywhere! Sofa, floor, carpet, stairs and on and on. You get the idea.I had a vacuum which I though was pretty good until my dog Angel started to grow. And shed. Then shed some more. The old vacuum just couldn’t keep up with the hair! It was tangled in the roller. Stuck in the filter. Wedged so far up I had to take long tongs just to try to pull it out. And I never got it all out. Ever.I purchased this machine after reading the reviews and all of the bells and whistles. Well it has bells and whistles. And suction. And a great motor. And attachments. And is easy to take apart to just carry the canister to vacuum the stairs with the floor attachment. This thing sucks! In a very good way!When I first used it, it was heavy! You will know you are pushing something. But then when I went over a spot and back and saw how everything was gone from the floor, I didn’t care how heavy it was! It got the hair and then some. The roller has not tangled at all and when I empty the canister over the garbage, one clip and out it all falls. The long, long hair is just sitting in there, wrapped up in a neat little circle and falls right out into the garbage! Halleluiah!So I can, and do, recommend this vacuum if you want something that will actually pick up all of the “stuff” on your floors and carpet, don’t want hair tangled everywhere, like to just disconnect the canister and use it for stairs and don’t mind the weight of pushing and pulling this wonderful machine!

Best Dog Vacuum!
Best vacuum I’ve ever had! I have 5 dogs, 2 of them Great Pyrenees (long haired double coated shedding) and I usually have bought a different brand that claims to be good for pet hair with the brush roller but I had to cut dog hair off the bristles every time I used it. I FINALLY bought this Bissell to try out its claims of no hair getting caught up and they weren’t lying! I vacuum at least 3x a week and haven’t had to clean out the brush roller yet and it picks up all the dog hair and dirt on my carpets! Worth every penny!

Very powerful vacuum and very good on carpets and hard floors. But it is awkward, heavy and not user friendly. Would be good in a big area!Easy to clean out but so heavy. I am sorry I got that. I was looking fir a lighter thing for quick sweeping!
