    Love this Vacuum
I have owed this vacuum for a few years and its a work horse. Yes its simple and small and Yes the poles do come apart and the cord is short and the floor head is not my favorite, BUT this thing is reliable and powerful and it just keeps working. Its super easy to clean, its all washable, even the filter, or if you don’t want to occasionally wash it, they sell replacement filters. I have 2 medium dogs and 3 large cats…so lots of hair. This vacuum has out preformed my expensive back pack vacuum, that one died after1.5 years, and got replaced with a Zing. I have been using the Zing now for two years, I vacuum all of my main floor, (it’s about 1800 sq ft) about every other day and I’m always amazed and disgusted (lol) by the amount of hair and dirt collected off the floor in just 2 days. it’s small and lightweight and powerful and to remedy the cons of it, I use a 15 foot extension cord and only have to move plugs twice. For the floorhead, I bought one I liked better and it wasn’t much to pay for something that made my work easier. Okay, now about the poles. I agree they are very annoying, but I will tell you that over time they somehow wear in and stay together, maybe they get scratched or dirty or worn in or something, but I do remember them falling apart a lot when it was new and now it doesn’t really happen. Overall it’s a great, powerful, inexpensive, vacuum that’s easy to operate, clean and use.

    I’ve created a monster!
I got this primarily to vacuum my dogs. That’s right – I have two very large, very shedding dogs. A first gen Labradoodle – 1st gen don’t always get the poodle coat. Mine didn’t. He sheds. A LOT. I know people say their dogs shed, but seriously, this guy takes it to a whole new level. The other dog is a Rottweiler, who also sheds, but it’s a “normal” amount.I have a robot vacuum, but it cannot cope with the volume of dog hair even running daily. The bin is always full. If I’m home when it runs I empty it twice while it’s running. This is currently 4 days a week. The other three it gets emptied daily.Neither of our dogs are really afraid of the vacuum (before I had the robot one) so I figured it wouldn’t be a stretch to get them acclimated to being vacuumed. So I ordered this and an attachment specifically designed to brush/vac a dog. The attachment was a waste. In the end I use the hose of this vacuum, without an attachment. Both dogs love it.However, the Rottie, she’s obsessed. She begins barking excitedly as soon as I turn the vacuum on. I do use this to vacuum surfaces and corners where the robot can’t quite manage – shelves, entertainment center, couches, corners, etc. My Rottie can’t wait till it’s her turn. And even when I’m done with her and move on the the non-Doodle Doodle, she is still trying to get in on the action. Bot dogs mad the “oh that feels SO good” face – seems to me it scratches the itch that they can never reach! Now – how does this little guy perform as an actual vacuum as opposed to a dog grooming implement? Surprisingly well! It has really powerful suction. Works great on all the items I mentioned. I haven’t used it with the floor attachment but I can imagine that the folks who complain about it on carpet didn’t read the description very well – there is no powered brush attachment and the suction is so powerful that I wouldn’t even try to use it on carpet except with the crevice tool around baseboards, corners etc – I have all hard surface floors so this won’t ever be something I do. I also can’t speak to the length of the extension for the floor tool because I haven’t used it – our robot vac does that job. The extensions do look short though so I can’t imagine trying to vacuum my whole house with this – but I can see using them to take out cobwebs! As a lightweight, powerful hard floor vacuum, being used for everything BUT the bulk of the floor, I give this high marks. As a dog-grooming device I’m thrilled – the amount of fur and (shudder) dander that I dumped from the bin was a real eye-opener – and that’s before I got to tapping out the filter (OMG that was disgusting!). I would not use this on small dogs…. the suction is powerful enough that you could probably lift a dog of 10lbs or less off the floor. But for my large dogs (+/-100lbs each), it’s amazing. They love it, it gets the shed and hopefully it’ll help cut down on the wear on our robot vac. It’s also small enough that it tucks into our already packed hall closet easily. It rolls smoothly on the floor and even when I took it all over it didn’t get tangled in it’s cord. I also love that the cord retracts into the body of the machine. Between this and the robot vac, I will likely never use our expensive water basin vacuum again! If you’re looking for something to get corners, cobwebs; to vacuum furniture and even large dogs, I don’t think you can go wrong with this… just be prepared for your dog to become an addict.

    Would Recommend Only for Tile/Hardwood
We recently bought our first house and it came with mostly hardwood floors or tile, except for the rec room which had some old, nubby probably-once-cream-but-now-dirty-beige-looking carpet. As our house is a split level, I thought carrying our ancient heavy (but beloved, well-functioning) 2005 Dyson vacuum from floor to floor to floor to floor would be too much of a workout for me. We bought this as a lightweight alternative. This thing works great on flat floors. The suction level is impressive, the canister is easy to clean, and although the plastic parts feel a little flimsy they still get the job done. It’s so lightweight and easy to carry with one hand while vacuuming with the other. It’s great! But carpet is a whole different story. The suction level on this thing is detrimental when it comes to carpet. Pushing or pulling the wand across carpet was a real workout because it kept sucking up to the carpet and getting itself stuck tight.Instead of being able to casually use one hand to vacuum while holding the actual vacuum with the other, I had to use both hands to have enough strength to rake the vacuum back and forth across the carpet. It was kind of like when you vacuum a rug and the vacuum sticks itself to the rug a little too well.I thought maybe my technique was the problem. Maybe I shouldn’t go back and forth, just in one direction and pick it up in between passes.Nope. Still would suction to the carpet so hard I had to use both hands to pull it off. If I only used one hand, the wand segments would come apart from each other and I’d have to reassemble them. This made me hold the vacuum wand like a shovel and I’m sure I looked like a gravedigging goblin as I sweated while cleaning our floor. I did have the wand on the carpet setting, I promise.Maybe it’s the fault of the old nubby carpet. Maybe if it was fluffier and brand new carpet, I’d have no problem. But then again… people that can afford brand new fluffy carpet probably don’t buy $60 vacuums. The ancient Dyson will stay in the rec room to vacuum the carpet when needed. This Bissell will be used on hardwood and tile only, because that’s where it works best. Again, I’m not entirely sure it wasn’t the fault of the saggy old carpet, so I’m only knocking off one star. Just watch out if you have older carpet like I do; I’d probably recommend an upright vacuum for that or springing for a more expensive wand/stick vacuum.

Great suction and easy to use.
Love this little sweeper. It has great suction and is easy to clean. Easy to move around and works on the stairs well. I carry it upstairs easily and it is easier to handle than bigger sweepers. We now have 2.

Me encantó!!!!
