Perfect travel size
The perfect size for travel!Some buying options said mini but they were considerably larger. This is exactly what I was lookingfor and excited to bring it on my upcoming cruise

Too hot for just the silicone mat that comes with it
On the high setting with the iron on top of the silicone it comes with and a thick silicone for big irons my table got too hot to touch. I added wood under the silicone. Still way too hot. Added a wool mat under that. My table is still warm and the wood and wool mat burned a little.It doesn’t turn itself off when accidentally left on and doesn’t have a light to show that it’s on. There is a light that comes on when you turn it off but it turns off quickly.That said I do like the iron and I’m actually ironing my sewing projects now. I didn’t when I had to use my big iron and now my projects look much more professional.

Perfect when quilting
It’s just the right size for pressing seams when piecing quilts. Love the silicone base for setting the hot iron on.

It works great. It also leaks.
Bought this to have near the sewing machine for quilting. It’s a perfect size, heats up fast and gets hot as hell. BUT it leaks. I will either learn to live with it or use it without steam. Perhaps I can finesse it by filling it less full, lowering the temp, etc. I’m disappointed. But it’s still better than trying to use the full size ironing board and iron next to the sewing machine which is really wobbly and takes up the whole room.

The product was clearly used, returned, and resold. It smelled like vinegar as I opened the spout to fill with water. I followed the directions for the steam option and it did not work which is probably why the last purchaser returned it.

I have used this iron a lot since I first got it at the end of October. It is very easy to use and it has a large water reservoir so the steam function works for a long time. Due to the large amount of water, the iron is weightier than my previous iron; however, this works in its favour because very little extra pressure needs to be applied.The one feature that I miss from my old iron is that it had a “Standby” setting. In other words, when I am working on a start/sew/iron/measure/iron/sew type of project, it would be a lot handier to have a “Standby” setting as this iron shuts itself off after 8 minutes and I often need 10 to 15 minutes as I work on 5 or 6 items at a time.Other than that, I am pleased with this iron – my previous one had a Teflon coating but I think I like this ceramic plate better.
