Best small refrigerator
This is the 2nd Avanti small refrigerator I have ordered and put in operation. They work perfectly. The temp control allows refrigerator to gets down to 20F. Quite impressive. Runs quiet. I use this for my home-brew operation to cool beer kegs at set temperatures. I use a separate Inkbird Tech temperature controller to precisely control temperature of the keg. I drill a 1/4 inch hole in the refrigerator to insert the temp probe which gets attached to the keg.

WOULD be excellent IF they could ship without damage
FIVE, yes, F I V E times I ordered one and they arrived damaged: Dented, crushed corners or edges. tried three times last year, and twice in Feb2025 I ordered and returned the damaged unit I received. I even called the company AND the warehouse. They are not individually packed sturdy enough for long distance shipment. They are sent to a warehouse in New Jersey ON PALLETS. Then they are shipped indiviually from there and THAT is where it goes south. I’m in Phoenix, AZ. If YOU live west of the Mississippi, there is a very good chance yours will be damaged as well. Just a FYI, there is a WEST BEND brand that is literally identical in every way! IT ships from Amazon, and I’ve ordered one…. Fingers crossed. Why am I trying so hard? It is Freezerless, self- defrosting and exactly the right size for me.

Compact and cool under pressure
We have one of these in our offices, and it’s generally a great little fridge. The size fit our under-counter space perfectly, and so far we’re very happy with it. We’ve used other Avanti products before, and for the most part they’ve held up well to the needs of our small office. The construction quality is good for the price – it’s solid enough that it seems like it will last, but still small and light enough that one person can move it around if needs be. The temperature control works well and it gets more than cold enough (35 degrees) to keep food cold and fresh. The interior doesn’t waste any space, and we like that there’s no freezer section. Most fridges this size don’t really have effective freezers anyway, so we appreciate being able to use 100% of the space for refrigeration. The glass shelves are also nice as they support irregular size items better than wire shelving. As an added bonus, it’s very quiet in operation. This unit replaces an older Sanyo product that had stopped working after many years. Although they are roughly the same physical size (the Sanyo is about half an inch taller, and about an inch less in depth), the Avanti seems to hold quite a bit more thanks to its lack of a freezer section and better shelving options. We also like that the rear of the Avanti is flat and easy to keep clean – made for a better fit than the Sanyo.A few small gripes:1. The design of the adjustable shelves requires that you be able to open the door well beyond 90 degrees to get the shelves out. In our case, we have a tight fit against a side wall that limits the door opening, and we needed to remove the fridge in order to get the shelves out.2. It comes with a key lock for the door…not sure we have any use for this.3. The instructions advise against installing it in an enclosed space, as heat is dissipated from the back of the unit. Still, this is exactly how we need to use the product – would be nice if it vented to the front somehow, as a few competing products do.4. There seems to be quite a temperature difference between different areas of the fridge. Items stored at the top of the door section seem warmest, and items stored at the bottom rear are quite a bit colder.5. The unit comes encased in a plastic film that protects the finish. While it certainly did its job, it was quite an ordeal to peel this film off the fridge – it’s easily a 30 minute task…about as far from “frustration free packaging” as you can get.Otherwise, this is definitely a reasonable product for the price, and if you need a compact fridge for your home or office, this one is worth a look.

Check out all the bad reviews and avoid this fridge
Check out all the bad reviews and avoid this fridge.Be aware, they may deliver the fridge damaged and you will have to carry the fridge down to a UPS store to return it. They won’t pick it up.They delivered the fridge to the neighbors across the street with a HUGE dent like 6 inches across. Then they made me drag the fridge down to a drop location instead of picking it up.

The lock is a nice feature, well…
I picked this one out of the 100s available on line for onesimple reason, it had a lock and we do a good bit of”babysitting” so it seemed perfect. It did come equippedwith what is technically a lock, though as locks go thisones pathetic. This sad exscuse for a lock is obviousllynot really meant for regular use if its meant to actuallybe used at all. without giving away too much detail i willsay that with minimal exposure to the unit it takes littletime to learn how to bypass it. How little? Our 3 and ahalf year old figured it out on day one, with no experienceAnd Its easily reached and by passed. The key is simply afamiliar shape from grade school,as it turns out if youhave a set of allen wrenches more than one size subs forthe key. If these werent bad enough, should you try toreally use the key. there is a spring for somereason that pushes against the key so it takes both handsas it requires a couple of turns of the key both to lockand unlock it, (for all the good it ll do).Other than the key thing and a lack of freezer, I actuallyreally like this thing, it does keep things very cold andit gets them that way pretty quickly too, of course theoverall temp is easily adjustable and the units easilycleaned also.
