A Wedding Gift
This wok looked good online, arrived in a reasonable time, and looked good out of the box (and a good looking box). Everything appears sturdy. I have an electric wok that I’ve used for years, but I was planning on giving an electric wok as a wedding gift. Apparently the company that made my old wok no longer makes them so I went online to find another maker. This one looked good. After I took it out of the box, it looks good, and feels good. Everything seems to fit well. And I’ve just finished by first stir fry and it performed as it should. Now that I know it is a good product, I have just ordered another that will become a wedding gift. — Stir Fry? Easy and quick to prep all the ingredients Easy and quick to cook all the ingredients. And, easy and quick to clean up afterwards.

I love this appliance
I love using this wok! It work well and it’s very convenient to wash up as the pan disconnects from the base.Can be used for regular frying, not just stir frying. The little shelf that comes with it is flimsy, but since I don’t use it I can’t downgrade for it.This is a brilliant tool in the kitchen.

This the best cooking vessel I have ever owned (except for my great grandmother’s iron kettle). I have owned other electric woks which did not perform well. This has perfect heat distribution. It is very easy to clean. Food glides right out of the pan. I have done stir fry and even spaghetti sauce in it. It’s amazing. I have an Aroma rice cooker, & I trust the Aroma name. It has lived up to it and then some! It’s a great value! As is recommended, lightly coat with an oil like peanut, canola or veg oil (not olive or avocado) after washing.

Nothing special, but gets the job done
I do love stir fried foods and the convenience of just blending things together for one dish meals. I have always wanted a big gas stove and a great wok in my kitchen but have never had either. So most of the time, I have been forced to sautee on a an electric stove which makes it difficult to get the right temperatures to effectively cook good stir fries.I decided to try this wok out, despite my being averse in general to non stick surfaces. I tend to believe that non stick prevents good caramelizing of food for whatever reason. The price was right and I figured it might be a means of getting me acquainted with more recipes that I had been loathe to try.First off, I received the package promptly, two days after ordering through my prime account – everything was packaged well.The box contained everything I needed, including two big chopsticks to go with the wok, lid and plug and small racks that hang on the side of the wok, ostensibly for preparing fried foods and allowing them to drain.I got right to work,preparing a dish of onions, snow peas and beef in an Asian sauce.I turned the control to “8” because the thermostat does not give readings in degrees.That seemed to be the perfect temperature for the meat, which I placed in , allowed to brown for about 30 seconds and stirred around before removal to prepare for veggies.I then placed by non meat item is with very little oil and stir fried. They were ready in a jiffy, with 8 being the heat setting. I added everything back in, scooted it to one side, and added my liquid, which began to boil almost immediately and reduced quickly. A pinch of cornstarch and I stirred everything in.The dish was great. I was satisfied. The vegetables stayed crunchy and colorful – results I was often unable to get cooking on my stove top.In the ensuing 10-12 days I used the wok for a variety of dishes, from tempura to curries. I also used it to dry fry my tofu before marinating – that wok works very well for doing that, with the temperature set to about 9, as ten is too hot and eight is too cool for my purposes.I used it to make fried rice, with great results.If I had one complaint it would be the temperature gauge – I would like to know the temps.. . just because. Also the heat is concentrated at the bottom and about 1 or so inches up the sides. I am not sure if that is the way things are supposed to be, though, in wok cooking.The non stick surface cleans up easily – I use a damp sponge to wipe it out.Overall, I think it is a good value at the price. I use it nearly every day, so I will update if anything goes bad.

Small but has great benefits
I love my new wok except for the size. I am so used to cooking a huge amount of food for our family of 6 in my usual Aroma Wok. You can easily cook a ton of food all at once in that huge wok. This one I have to use when I am only cooking for 3 or 4 of us. The heat came up the bottom and side perfectly and I didn’t have any food stick at all. I am crazy about the see thru lid. I wished my bigger wok had this lid. That would be a huge plus. I also like the Removable power cord. I don’t know why my other one doesn’t have a removable cord. It is such a great convenience to be able to clean the wok without having to worry about the cord in the way. There are several benefits to this wok over the larger one that aroma carries. I didn’t take any stars off for size because I knew it were a tad smaller then my other Wok. I also like the base can snap off. Makes cleaning so much easier. I had trouble getting the bass back on. Of course when I handed it to my husband it snapped on so easily. I just needed to press harder. It is on a spring. There are some nice racks that comes with this wok that makes cooking a lot easier.

Very good
I have had the wok for about 1 week and cooked 4 times with it. It gets very hot very fast. On highest heat it is ready to cook in about 4 minutes and it is very hot, which you need with a wok. 1500 watts does that. It heats much faster and hotter than my Presto electric frying pan (which is a pan I love and use often). It stir frys anything, meat or veg, with ease. It is non stick surface so I got some non stick safe cooking utensils (by Pleafind (very inexpensive and nice)) that work very will with the wok. The heat setting has dots only but it is quite easy to use and I use the top 3 settings mostly, once you see what heat they produce it is quite easy to use. The top heat setting is really blazing hot. Overall I am quite please with this wok. It does exactly what I want it to do very well, which is stir fry meat and veggies.

this wok is very nice to use , as soon as i turn it on , it heat up fast and after cooking my food in the wok , the clean up was very easy , the only disadvantage is the cord , it too bad the cord cannot come off the wok to make clean up in the sink a little easier , otherwise it is an excellent wok

El wok funciona bien y tiene buen tamaño para una comida de 2-4 personas. La recubierta antiadherente evita que se le pegue la comida y es muy facil de limpiar. Calienta extraordinariamente rápido para ser eléctrico t la distribuciòn de calor parece ser uniforme.Lo comprè para mi mamà que queria un wok que pudiera usar con su estufa de induccion, pero no estaba convencida con la manera en que los woks de acero funcionan con las superficies planas de las vitrocerámicas. este wok soluciòn el problema y ella no notò la diferencia entre una cazuela para su estufa y este producto.Solo elimino una estrella, porque al remover el wok de su base elèctrica una piza de aluminio se cayò. El mecanismo para remover la base no parece estar muy bien construido asi que ya no los separamos. No es una falla gigantesca por el precio pero hace falta hacerla notar.

NOWHERE in the description did it mention the plug is US and it is 120V. This is not a deal killer for us because we have a step-down converter for my wife’s mixer, so we should be okay.AMAZON, WHY ARE YOU SELLING US ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS IN IRELAND AND THE UK?

I received my electric wok today and thought I’d give it a spin. I was trying tempura, and found I needed to crank the heat all the way to max. That was ok, because that ensured the meat was fully cooked. It turned out PERFECT!CLEAN-UP: I was GENUINELY pleased at the EASE this wok cleaned up. It is thankfully not heavy, so manipulating it at the sink was great, and all oil was removed with little effort. Great product, would recommend!
