A little larger than expected, but great lumbar support, high quality, easy to assemble
I initially purchased another product from Amazon to replace my old home office chair. The other chair was good-looking and easy to assemble, but the lumbar support was anemic. I gave it away to a colleague’s college-aged son. It works for him.This chair is excellent and very easy to assemble. The lumbar support is substantial and dynamically adjusts with the chair’s recline. Sitting straight up and working, the support is comfortably firm. Tilted back, the support relaxes like reclining in a well-worn baseball mitt.The quality of the material, stitching, and padding is excellent.The lift range is longer than other chairs I’ve had, so finding a comfortable height for any activity is easy.I’m a guitar player and record at my desk, so the retractable arms are convenient. The back might appear to support the neck or head in the photos. It does not. I’m six feet, and the padded upper back settles comfortably at my upper shoulder blades.As I said in the headline, the chair is a bit larger than I expected for my little home office, but it’s comfy.

Comfortable and attractive desk chair
My old desk chair broke last week after about 2 years of use. I ordered this one from Amazon and it arrived yesterday (delivery was delayed by 3 days without explanation) The chair was not super difficult to assemble but also not easy. Putting the last piece in required me having my son help as it definitely took more than 2 hands to get the 2 pieces to line up.I am tall (5’11”) and I work very long hours at my desk for work and also sit at my desk for my hobby of writing fiction. This chair is good for me as it sits higher than my last chair did, I appreciate this as I am taller than many people. It is wide set, meaning the arms are further apart than my old chair which might bother some people but I like that it means I do not always have to sit in one position when I’m sitting here for a long time. I also appreciate the ability to rotate the arms up and out of the way as this means I can push the chair more fully under the desk when I’m not using it.The back is not as high as my old chair was which is a bit of a negative for me, I specifically ordered a high back chair and this is several inches shorter than my old chair. The back comes just above my shoulders by an inch or two, but I cannot lean my head back comfortably.Also, it is not a “leather chair” as the description says. It’s bonded leather which means it is possible for the leather to wear off of the chair as others have stated. I had wanted to order the cream but I’m glad I ordered dark brown instead now that i know it’s not a fully leather chair.The base is heavy, the wheels roll nicely and it’s a very nice and solid chair. The box weighed about 50 lbs which shows how heavy duty the chair is. I’m hopeful this will help the chair last a long time.

Overall the chair is excellent. There are not complaints other than it sits about 2 inches too high and i do not know how to adjust it down. I am on the lowest setting and it still feels high when i am typing on my keyboard.

tldr; chair was good for the price but not the best choice for people that are heavyI bought this chair in Feb 2020 but it never arrived. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement right way so 5 stars for support.I assembled it without too many issues.. basically 12 screws and the allen wrench comes with it. Assembly was a bit awkward with the slippery pleather etc but but I suspect that would be the case with any chair like this. I had no missing parts, the instructions were pretty clear, took me maybe 10 minutes. 5 stars for assembly.Overall, the chair was fine. It was pretty comfortable and there were controls to tilt & lock and height, which was good enough for me.I was very heavy back then, just under 300. One day I dropped something to the floor and when I leaned to the left to pick it up the chair creaked and cracked. I seems the wood in the seat pan cracked and the flat metal tilt bar that connects to the back snapped. The chair was still useable but over time it tilted more and more to the left. Once my back started aching, I had to replace the chair.

Assembled the chair today and it looks/feels good. However, there is nothing ergonomic about this chair, the lumbar support is suboptimal. Really disappointed in that regard. It is essentially impossible to return an assembled chair like this so I’m not sure what to do with it now..
