This is a no brainer for the price
First things first: This sub is on duty in a SHED, for my backyard music, accompanied by a pair of Definitive technology AW6500 outdoor speakers. Shed door goes up, sub is behind it. To the bad reviews: I do not know how this sub will do inside. As is, for $200, it is outstanding. It plays CLEAN, CLEAR, CONTROLLED bass heard 30 feet away from my backyard. What I do recommend is FORGET the high level inputs, and feed it via line inputs with a DECENT pre-amp. I just moved my 20yrs old ONKY0 from home theater duty to the backyard, after updating all my Home theater equipment, and from OK before (with a cheap Sony that had NOT a sub out, so SUB was fed from the 2nd speaker outputs) to being amazing. Yes, I said it, it plays amazing, clean, deep bass OUTSIDE.

Underrated sub
First off i have only had this 15 inch powered subwoofer for a little over 24 hours & so far i am not disappointed & more on the satisfied side. I bought this sub to replace a front firing 12 in Klipsch powered sub i had that had a amplifier issue that was causing a tic to emit through the sub. Not bashing Klipsch because i love their products but i have not had very good luck with some of their products of late. Anyway i have a 7.1 Klipsch soundbar system with wireless surround speakers in the back & a wireless 10 inch down firing powered sub. I just needed to replace my old front firing 12 which adds an extra punch to my set up bass wise & this Acoustic Audio 15 inch sub has delivered so far. The sub is not broken in yet so I’m sure it will sound better once it is but it shakes my house already which is a great sign i would say. This sub has taken some bad reviews in here & on YouTube so i wanted to set the record straight. I have been an audio file since i was a kid & have invested thousands in audio equipment all throughout my home & vehicles & for the money this is a good overall value. It’s not going to compete with top of the line audio brands (you get what you pay for) but it will hold its own. I wanted to go with a 15 inch sub because they can handle the lower frequencies better than 10,s & 12’s. So far this sub has handled everything i threw at it just fine with no muddling or distortion which again is a good sign for any subwoofer.I listen to a lot of different genres of music & many with heavy bass lines & this sb has performed well right out of the box. I only hope it lasts a while as my last one only lasted maybe 3 years.

Product received is damaged
The product we received has a damaged leg and large dent on the side. The box we received it in is not damaged. But it still works and the sound quality is good so far. We have only tested it as we are still working on install so I only did 3 stars so far.

Not a SVS!
OK, first off, this subwoofer is pretty light to house a 15″ woofer(under 70 lbs). The hardware looks pretty good at first glance, and it comes well packed in the box. There are three way to hook up to your AVR(make sure you read the owner’s manual). After the sub is placed, the sub’s response is LOW as in horrible. You’ll have to make sure there’s enough of a signal to activate the subwoofer (if you have it on auto). To get the optimal usage out of this sub; it has to be “broken in”. Otherwise, it’s performance will disappoint you.I suggest that you use a sweeping sine wave (YouTube) from 25Hz to 40Hz. The suggested break in time is about 10 hours. After having the sub broken in, it placed just fine with my other sub. Note: keep the phase at 0.Lastly, this is NOT a SVS, or KLIPTCH, or MONOLITH you get what you pay for, however it will suffice while you save for a better brand.

Great subwoofer for the prize!
After doing a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to upgrade from the 12 inch down firing to the 15 inch front firing with a 600 W amp, it took about two weeks to break this subwoofer in at different volume levels and different gains. I have been an audio file for 40 years I now have a 7.1 surround sound with Dolby pro logic, with Klipsch speakers and I’m putting out almost 3000 W of pure power! This subwoofer will drop down to 22 cycles for the younger generation that would be 22 Hz which is a very low frequency. I’ve been quite happy with the speaker I’m now running duel 15 inch subs it’s only taking me three years and thousands of dollars to build my Soundsystem, this speaker definitely added what I needed it was delivered on time very well packaged and a well designed and built product. If you want to rattle the shampoo bottles in your shower buy two of these!
