Excellent budget priced surround speaker
For the price point I was hesitant, and wasn’t sure what to expect. Installation was simple. I am truly impressed with the sound quality out if these. I have four, two for side surrounds, and two for rear surrounds, off a Denon Avr-770. The sound quality and detail in the audio is excellent. Sure, a higher end speaker will be better quality, but at such a low price point compared to others, these are well worth trying. Don’t expect big bass out of them, that’s what subs and towers are for. But for a surround speaker, these are excellent.

Thumbs up for me
I’m loving these! Installed one in both of my bathrooms and they look great, sound pretty nice and install was a breeze! I built a box around them too to keep insulation and critters out and it added a little more bass so win win! I’m running them off a bluetooth wall amp and I just love it!! 100% recommend

Sounds alright.
Update: The sputtering is actually caused by the clamps that clings on to the ceiling. After I held them with my hands the sputtering stopped (uninstalled speakers when I tested it). Not too bad. For the price, you cannot really complain much. I returned Rockville speakers that sounded like computer case speakers (and it had spring clips, not loose clamps), these speakers are simply to fill in the speaker holes in my patio. Not an audiophile, thought these were going to be goners but ended up being keepers after I realized my mistake.Old review:For the size of this speaker, wow, what a terrible sound. At low volume you dont hear much but at slightly higher volume it sputters and vibrates badly.

Great Speakers
These are great. I replaced an old pair of Bowers and Wilkins in ceiling speakers that were installed by the previous owner of my home, I don’t know how long ago. The housing of the old speakers was cracking and they were no longer sitting flush with the ceiling so I rolled the dice on these. Super happy with this purchase. They actually sound much better with much clearer vocals when playing music, than the old B&W. The B&W, I suspect we’re completely worn out. They are part of a system with a Sonos sound bar and sub, so I get my bass that way, but I tried it with the sub off and they weren’t bad in that department either. Great value here.

UPDATED: Much better then the Micca M-8Cs and cheaper.
I own both the CSic83 and Micca M-8C (you can verify by this same review on the Miccas .) I did a side by side listening comparison on the speakers and determined the following. The CSic83 do have a higher DB. Not sure if it is actually 95db but it is definitely higher then then Micca M-8c. Overall the CSic83 sounded much better on mid level, bass and highs. I used the Grand Funk Vinyl record through a Denon AVR X7200WA for my testing. Most noteworthy were the vocals which were very faint on the Miccas and clear on the CSic83s. Selling the Miccas and using the CSic83s for my ATMOS speakers. I am sure there are better ceiling speakers, but not at this price.

Great bang for the buck!
Installed these similar to the suggestion in the Q&A portion above the sofa for “Atmos” style listening. They handle music well and movies in Dolby even better. I had planned to box in the speakers with sheetrock to get a fuller sound, but truly gave up after sitting in the attic in the heat. I actually don’t regret it as the speakers sound quite fantastic in the open air environment of the attic. Rich and full inside the living room. Highly recommend. (Blended into POLK LSI 5.1 speakers and being pushed by a Marantz 6012 for reference)

Easy installation and great product
Installation instructions are purely easy. Quality speakers for the money. This is my second purchase of these speakers. They sound great for the TV and music all over the house.

Quality Sound
The install process was easy except that the mesh screen ships installed on the speaker but it needs to be removed in order to mount the speaker in the wall/ceiling. Prying it off can be a hassle and possibly warp or damage the screen. Minus one star for that. The sound is great. My use case doesn’t exactly stress test the speakers though. They’re in my ceiling as front height atmos speakers. So the aren’t asked to handle loads anywhere near their peak ratings. That said, if all you want are surround sound speakers< these guys will certainly fit the bill.

These speakers are quite good for their price. I built a 1.5 cubic foot enclosure for them (42″x15″x4″) out of 3/4″ birch plywood, and installed a 10″ long, 2 1/2″ diameter round port in the box. The box also has about an inch of polyfill in the bottom for dampening. Base response is much better in the ported setup vs not, but either way, the speakers perform very well. They have audible response right down to 10Hz , although they fall off a fair bit as expected below 50Hz. The enclosures will sit above some kitchen cabinets, hidden behind the crown moulding. Paired with an inexpensive class D (tiny) 2 channel amplifier with bluetooth, the setup is capable enough for pretty much for any casual listener. The bass from this setup will definitely rattle the kitchen if cranked up. Awesome value!!If you’re installing them in the ceiling or wall, you’ll definitely want to build a sealed box with similar volume, and if possible add the port to provide a lot more bass response.

Awesome Powerful Atmos Speakers
Bernie from Tura Beach –
Good dynamic range, pleasant sound, well-constructed speakers. Bright highs without being harsh, clear midrange and smooth, balanced bass. Bass is pleasant rather than spectacular but possibly a bit better than we were expecting at this price point.

Read reviews on here, googled around, watched some YouTube vids. Don’t regret this at all. These things are awesome. Fantastic sound quality, absolutely shattered my expectations in the best way possible. The bass is surprising too, I guess you don’t expect it by looking at them. Anyway, if these cost twice as much (or more), I’d get it because speakers at the same performance level cost twice as much or more, haha. So good I had to write a review, because reading these helped me take the plunge and buy them. A most worthy investment! Love em.
