3D printing
Very useful
Colonel Bob –
Maybe two technical for new guys
This book seems more aligned for someone starting a 3-D printing business. I was looking for more basic material. I eventually found it, but you have to dig it out of the very business related technical aspects.
Adrienne Jensen –
Good read, lousy print job.
Several pages are stuck together. Would have been a higher review if had been higher quality.

Not that useful for new printer users
Gives you insight on what businesses use 3d printing for, how to set up your printer but doesn’t really go in depth on printer or slicer settings. Those are the things I think are more important than business applications
William Emerson Hancock –
Intro to 3D printing
This is a great intro explaining 3D printing. If you are new to it, like me, it gets you a long way up the learning curve.
KelliB –
Could not see pictures
Pictures in book were dark on some and could not see example

Waste of time.
I’m only 20% into this book and I can already tell it will not have any useful information. This is the world’s longest sales pitch. I was looking for a book to get me started. This is not that book. I’ve never done this with a book but I’m going to ask Amazon to refund me. 90% if what I’ve read so far is hypothetical thinks that a 3D printer may do one day. I would expect someone who repeatedly references Star Trek to be a nerd and able to impart some knowledge. I was wrong.

Yet again, these books simplify the process for me. The pictures help and a bit of humour throughout always adds to it and somehow helps me remember.
Mr. James E. Parrott –
The book for dummies, there must be a lot of clever dummies around, or I;m a very very stupid dummy. I could hardly find anything of relevance, most of it way over my head.
John Brewer –
I’m quite disappointed that a large part of this book isn’t really about learning to 3D print but rather about the 3D printing industry. Food/bio printing for example is mentioned on several pages 373-374, 272-275, 63-64, 66, 147-152. Body parts/organs/prosthetics/implants 43, 384, 381-382, 64, 118, 374, 375.Really just part 5 plus the odd page from elsewhere in the book covers home 3D printing and some of that I wouldn’t class as at Dummies level.I’ve returned the book.
