This tasty read offers the perfect antidote to scrolling on social media. Instead of wasting your time, you can absorb new vocabulary that will broaden you as an educated, cultured human being. Best of all, you can read at your own pace – one new word a day or more – it’s all good for you.

The cover is awesome!
This is a great book! How fun! The author has set out a daily work–it is organized into the twelve months of the year so that basically A words make up the first half of January and B words make up the second half of January–and then on for the year. The words are interesting and the way the book is organized makes it easy to follow. Adding a word a day is a fun way of picking up some new ideas. Love it!

Review of 365 Days of Forgotten Words
365 Days of Forgotten Words is a fun book about unusual words. My favorite is Bumfuzzle. Interestingly, a number of these words are still used in medicine and were not all that strange to me. But the vast majority were new and interesting. I like how the author also discusses the roots and origins of each word.

Fun and interesting!
I found this to be such a fun and interesting resource to further my vocabulary and learn! I like that it is easy to digest and engaging, while being quite educational! I highly recommend for a fun little daily read to grow in your vocabulary and exercise your mind!

Old vocabulary fun
That’s super interesting to learn a new word each day. They were pretty difficult and lots I never heard of. But on a few occasion I knew them: sonder, kowtow, etc. but some other funny words I had no idea what they could be until I read the definition: wayzgoose, twire, xenium, etc. I enjoyed adding to my vocabulary and some words I’m glad are not used today.

Super fun
While I read it quite quickly, instead of one a day, this was super fun. I enjoyed it a lot.

Excellent book with daily obscure and lost words, their history and some examples. If you like reading, words or language, you’ll love this. Made a great gift.

It’s truly 365 unusual words. Took me quite some time to go through all of them. Not exactly 365 days of course. Some are just quick reads because I somehow quickly lost attention on reading those really strange words that I don’t even know how to pronounce. Words like starts with letter X, how do i read it. But anyways, it’s interesting to flip through this book. Makes a great time for a dull afternoon.

This was a great read. So interesting to discover words that are no longer commonplace. Will be sure to use a few of them in the future. Recommend.
