So far so good
My last heater unit died at 6 months so bought this 2 pack so I have a spare. Simple installation and works great so far. I do think the layout of the coils is better on this one and a little stouter. Time will tell.

It’s a good replacement element
The first one I used had an element wire out of place. Adjusted it and all is good

Very reliable and great value
This item was a replacement and worked great. Got super hot fast. Installation fit exactly like the factory mounted so no extra work. Only thing, it was missing the extra connector bracket where one of the wires plugs in. My dryer has 3 wires to plug in, this element only had prongs for 2 wires. So I had to use the bracket from my old element. So don’t throw away your old one before you install this one. Would definitely recommend this product though.

They look well made.
I have found that these heating elements, most of the time all look the same and pretty much are built the same way.It is hard to pinpoint with your naked eye any difference in quality between the different options available. This bundle looks well made and it did fit my drier, same as the original part. The installation for my dryer was not really hard, after removing the back panel I just had to remove a couple of screws, disconnect a couple of fuses and slide the old unit out.It is also a good idea to test (or replace) the fuses at the same time you replace the heating element. I have found it had worked better for me to replace the fuses at the same time even if they are still in working condition. Unfortunately, fuses are not included with this bundle.About longevity of the product, only time can tell. It could take few or several months for the element to fail. I hope this time these last years.

Heavier than the old heating element.
I ordered this 2 Pack of Dryer Heating Elements For Whirlpool, Kenmore, and Maytag dryers to replace a heating element that I bought a few months ago. To be more precise, I bought this two pack kit as a backup for a heating element that I recently replaced. My dryer is model number LER5644JQ0. It is well over twenty years old. For replacement parts I have to find the part number for the specific part that I need. To do that I put the model number in the search bar and then I go to websites that sell dryer manufacturer parts. I find the matching part number and then I go back to Amazon to see if the part that I am looking at will fit my dryer. The heating element that fits my dryer is manufacturer part number 279838. The heating elements in this 2 pack will fit my dryer.I had just ordered and installed a heating element in my dryer when I got the chance to try out this two pack. I did not need a new element right away, but, because the one that I recently replaced lasted only two months, I thought that I should grab these as a back up in case the new one also stopped working as quickly. When I replaced the element that lasted only two months I discovered that I had installed it incorrectly. I used a wire that was not needed. It turns out that it was my fault that that heating element lasted only two months. The wire that I installed incorrectly had burned clean through.Because the coils on the old element were a bit blackened but not burned through I decided to save it.I am comparing this new 2 pack of heating elements to the old one with the blackened coils. The heating elements in this new 2 pack are heavier than the old one. Otherwise, for the most part, the heating elements look identical. The wires on the old heating element are coiled much more smoothly and elegantly than the wires on these new heating elements. The coiled wires on the old heating element are much more flexible than the coiled wires on these new heating elements. The wires on these new heating elements are made of thicker and heavier metal than the wires on the old heating element. That is the reason why these new elements are heavier and why the coiled wires do not look as elegantly and smoothly coiled.I think that coils being made of thicker and heavier wire is a good thing. One of the prongs on one of these new elements was bent slightly sideways. I pushed it back into the proper position with my finger but I am deducting one star for that.Although I have not yet installed or actually used one of the elements from this 2 Pack Dryer Heating Elements Kit For Whirlpool, Kenmore, and Maytag dryers, I will rate it four stars.
