Problem solved: I barely give reviews to amazon brands. This piece fixed my heating problem in our dryer. It cost near to nothing compared to buying a brand new dryer. My advice try it out see what happens. Even if it make your dryer last 1-2 more years or perhaps 3-5 more years that will give you plenty of time to figure our your dryer situation.Installation + tips :Our Maytag dryer was fairly easy to take apart. To get to the heating element area it took us about 30 minutes. (10-20 screws, you have to unplug 3 wires) Its pretty self explaining. Just make sure when you unplug the wires take a picture or video before you touch anything in case you forget how to put everything back together. Also, when you take apart your dryer take the time to clean the inside out thoroughly you don’t usually get the chance to do that and it will help with longevity.I will give you guys an update but as of now everything is working and we are happy.

Fit perfectly for my old Kenmore Elite Dryer
This part came within a day so my dryer wasn’t out of commission long at all. It was a perfect fit for my Kenmore Elite dryer which houses this heating element on the BOTTOM side of the unit, which was easy to access from the lower front panel, which just snaps right off.I unscrewed the heating element housing cylinder from the mounting bracket and it slides right out of the dryer. Then you simply unscrew the screw that holds the heating element onto the cylinder housing and pull the old element out of the housing, and slide the new one back on. SIMPLE!Be sure to test out the continuity(in ohms) to ensure that the heating element has continuity. It should show at least 10 ohms or more. By the way, be sure you are testing this WITHOUT plugging in to an electrical outlet. Again, DO NOT plug your dryer in when testing or you will zap yourself and/or destroy your multimeter.Additionally, test the resistance on the 2 thermostats attached to the cylinder housing as well. Both of these should read zero ohms. Good luck!

This heating element worked perfect. It was an exact replacement for the element in my Kenmore elite dryer. The replacement was pretty straight forward. I learned how to do it with my degree from YouTube University. I recommend this heating element if the part number matches what you need for your dryer!

Saved us from buying a new dryer
The heating element went out in our 17 year old dryer. It’s hard to believe we have had it that long and have had zero issues.However, one day the element went out and the dryer wasn’t heating up anymore. My husband is pretty handy and diagnosed the problem. The new element arrived, old element was removed and the dryer has been going strong ever since. (has been running several times a week for the past 90 days with no issues) $20 saved us from purchasing a new dryer or having someone come out and repair. Highly recommend.
