    Excellent picture & sound quality
Worth buying it for every $. HDMI cable is not included in the packing which disappointed me a bit. But otherwise I am satisfied.

    Decent entry-level LED Projector
Pros:1. Very light weight, but that doesn’t matter if it will be stationery from the ceiling.2. Very quiet; even in when set to the high image quality setting. It is actually quieter than my current projector that is always on low.3. Instantly turns off and turns back on within about 3 seconds.4. Gets warm but not hot.5. Image quality is very good once you have made the proper adjustments and found the sweet spot with the manual focus dial on the side.6. Speaker sounds great.Cons:1. No ZOOM, so you have to pick your mounting spot and place it there. That is a major design flaw.2. No auto focus or auto zoom.3. Configuring this projector took some time due to the odd settings design screens.4. Most of all, the manual focus did not work correctly. I had to set this over and over again until I finally got it right. Once you start adjusting the dial, the middle of the screen becomes blurry. If you go back the other way, the corners become blurry. So, there is one spot to shoot for. If you miss that, have fun adjusting it all over again.I am a professional home theater install as well as an Information Technology Consultant. I have enjoyed more than 25 years within the technology world. It doesn’t take much to impress me, but I am all for quality, especially when I pay $650 for a projector. My last projector was $500. I have since gone back to it. It is an Epson EX51 for home theater and use my LG as a computer monitor.

Make sure your expectations are in the right place.
Before I start this review I’m going to give you a little background info, I am an A/V enthusiast by hobby, this means that I’m very much about buying quality items at the best available price. This is partly why I’ve waited this long to journey into the world of projectors. I personally can’t shell out $100-400 a year in just bulbs, I just can’t. So before buying this projector I’ve owned two great 3D televisions, one the E420VDX from Vizio and the other a Toshiba 55″ 515U (The firmware on this one leaves a lot to be desired… but that’s a whole other story). So as you can see I come from a LCD/LED background and not dlp or plasma. So if you’re like me and have never really endeavored into projectors you need to really make sure your expectations are in the right place. If you’re a budget LCD owner (Walmart brand), just about anything is going to look better than your television… But if you’ve been with Sharp, Vizio, LG, Samsung or Sony in the last few years, this projector isn’t going to have the pop you might expect from it. Despite being LED, it’s based on DLP video technology, this means your image is more likely to look like a film at a movie theater. For most video enthusiast this is what video should really look like and not the ultra filtered bright image you find in most lcd/led sets today. This projector is a light cannon despite only being 700 lumens… BUT! This does not mean that you should expect to watch anything more than casual television during the day with ambient light, the image is going to be washed out just like that video review showed! And honestly, even a little bit of ambient light can give you similar results to that review. The sound is great for such a tiny projector and truthfully, the sound kicks most television sets sound systems these days – to the curb. But, if you’re buying a projector and plan on really building a system around this, you’re really going to want to go with a dedicated HT – if not at least a sound bar. This projector has no special features as far as image positioning, so you need to know that it’s going to shoot directly from where it’s at. Want a bigger image? Move back. Want a smaller image, move forward. For an idea of how far your projector needs to be for a certain size, head over to projectorcentral who has a automated calculator to help you.Keystone… Don’t. Resolution suffers and it’s noticeable. All the negatives aside, this is a fantastic projector if you go in with the right mindset. The image can look excellent with the right screen and the proper settings. Make sure that ambient light is non-existent if you go to watch a movie. Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality of the image and this product.

    Excellent but…
I bought the PA70G from fry’s electronics on black Friday for half the price. When I powered it on and plugged in my Xbox and then my PC, I was amazed at its color, vibrancy and contrast. Images looked stunning on it and I could project vary visible 80″+ images (despite only 700 lumens) in a lit room. The 3 watt speakers sounded amazing and there was no crackle or pop even at the highest volume, which is quite loud. But then, while trying to focus the projector to get a sharper image, I noticed that when I got the image to focus at the top, it was out of focus at the bottom and vice versa. I turned off auto keystone to see if that was causing the issue but no luck. The focusing lens seemed to just be out of alignment so I went back to fry’s and exchanged it for another one. But the other projector had the same issue so I contacted LG and they quickly sent me a prepaid package slip for me to send in my projector for re-pares. When I got the projector back a week or so later, it was as if LG didn’t repair a single thing because the same problem still persisted. I looked online to see if anyone else had the same issue and sure enough, several people had experienced the same problem (some people have received excellent working units with perfect focus, or so they say, but it is a small percentage). I then returned the projector to frys for my money back as I did not want to try again a third time. Now, the out of focus image isn’t too noticeable when watching a movie put when using power point or viewing images or video gaming, it is definitely visible. Its a shame that such a great projector with a long lifespan and great speakers (not to mention sleek styling) suffers from such a small and easily fixable issue. Either LG’s quality control is terrible or they honestly thought that people wouldn’t notice this issue. My advice is to buy a better quality projector and to stay away from this one.

Beautiful projector from the outside, but ……….
Would have loved to have loved this projector, unfortunately the focus was no good at all. It would be fine if you were watching a movie, but when I tried to look at text it quickly became apparent that it was impossible to get the whole image focused at one time.I could have dealt with a little focus issue, but this projector came with major focus problems. Had to send it back. On the plus side is that Amazon return policy is fantastic!
