Very nice feel and weight to the presenter
I have owned a good many presentation devices over the years and I find this device to be one of the nicest ones that I have used. The weight is very comfortable and size is average with a lot of others on the market.Having both USB and USB-C makes it compatible between all of my devices.Being rechargeable is a plus. No carrying additional battles along has always been a hassle for me. Charges quickly and has an indication of low battery. My favorite feature of this pointer is that it is made from a lite metal instead of plastic. I still have some of my older presenters. However, they are made of or covered with a soft rubber coating, for gripping and nonslip. Over time with these soft rubber devices, they become sticky and have to be replaced. I don’t see this device having to be replaced anytime soon. This device is a very comfortable weight in the hands and well balanced. One feature missing is the ability to control your mouse, when doing a software or web-based presentation. This would be a nice addition, when needed to click/doubleclick. However, the majority of my presentations do not require that feature anymore, so that is more of a future feature request.Distance across the room at 100′. I was not able to get, but my range is still very impressive. I do know that environment does make a difference for signal and in a perfect environment, you may get that range. However, I personally will not be doing any presentation that is going to place me at that distance from my presentation machine. The magnetic holder for the USB is strong. I’m not worried about losing it by falling out.The carry bag that it comes with is also nice quality. The only thing I give caution to is placing it in your shirt pocket and bending over to pick up something. A slick pocket and metal device, makes it simple to slide out of the pocket.Overall, I highly recommend this device. Very nicely made!

    An Idispensable Item for Presentations
There have been numerous circumstances in which I wish I had a pointer (or wireless presenter), most notably whilst presenting evidence at jury trials or during conferences. I wanted a pointer that would offer me the option of being able to use it as a “dumb” plug and play device without any connection at all to my laptop. I also wanted one that would connect directly to my laptop if needed, and interact directly with Microsoft Word pages or other apps, when I needed that ability. This pointer does both.It comes with four buttons; a page up button, a page down button, a light button, an enter button and an on/off button. The light button causes a small red dot to emerge from the device, which can then be pointed wherever the user prefers. The “enter” button merely activates a blue light when the device is not connected to a laptop, plainly indicating that the device is working. When the device is connected to a laptop, pressing the same button causes the same effect as using the “enter” button on the keyboard. The fact that the device can be charged via a USB-C port is greatly appreciated. In the box: A USB-C cord for charging the device is provided, along with the unit itself, an instructions manual (which I promptly ignored, being the undomesticated man I am) and a pouch with a drawstring for carrying it all.In operation: The device comes with a USB dongle cleverly tucked away at the bottom of the device. Even more considerately, the dongle is adaptable to either USB-C or a USB-A port. The device worked flawlessly on my 8th generation Lenovo X1 Carbon Thinkpad, and is now part of my presentation ensemble.

    I’m surprisingly impressed
I have used a lot of these kinds of presenter devices over the years and they mostly seem all the same. This one attracted my attention because of its shape – something that could be slipped into a shirt pocket and used like a standard laser pointer, but with presenter functionality as well. Additionally, I was curious to see if the combination USB-A and USB-C receiver would actually work in either port.I tried the receiver in both type A and type C ports and it works well in either arrangement. I like the way that received then hides in a slot on the bottom of the presenter. The only negative that comes from the slim shape of the tool is that it has a forward and a backward button arranged one above the other, and the forward action is the lower (down-pointing) button while back is the upper button which my mind wants to make the “forward” action. In other words, my natural inclination is to revers the buttons, but this is quick to overcome. The laser itself is brighter than I had expected – one of my cheap presenters with a red laser is quite weak. I would prefer a green laser but it wasn’t available on this model at the time I ordered. A big plus in my book is that you can recharge this device rather than needing to swap out batteries every time the laser goes weak. Charging seems pretty quick, though the indicator light goes out after a few minutes and then comes back on as soon as you touch it while charging, so that makes the indicator not very helpful. Are there better presenters out there? Definitely. But at this price point, this device has a lot going for it and it delivered more than I expected.
