ULANZI TT09 VideoGo Carbon Fiber Travel Video Trip

First time with this brand, so far I am surprised!
I pretty much broke it down in my video but ill say as much as a I can here. I have never heard of this brand, and I’ve shot with a lot of equipment. The reason why i was looking for a tripod that is this size is I do a lot of on location video shoots / travel for shoots, and I don’t want to be carrying around a massive tripod / have to check just a tripod at the airport. I also wanted a carbon fiber tripod to save weight. This was one of the tripods that checked all those boxes.1. This thing is pretty small. You could fit it in a backpack, but you could 100% fit it in a checked bag.2. It can extend pretty high. It have get about head level with the average person at its max height. Most of the people i’m filming at sitting so I did not need something that would extend that much. That being said I wouldn’t have a problem filming someone standing.3. The tripod is really easy to use. Nothing is hidden and everything works.4. The travel case is crazy nice! It seems to be weather proof and has extra room for storage.5. Comes with spikes you can use on the bottom if your filming outside or are on soft ground, really nice they include those.6. The tripod handle comes off and has a series of tool bits in the handle that you can use to adjust / dissemble the tripod with. Or just use for any reason while on a shoot.7. For those of you that don’t no the difference between Arca-Swiss and F38, and are wondering whats the difference I will let you know. The only difference between the two tripods is the mounts. Arca-swiss is a mount where you have to slide your on and off when the lever has been rotated all the way clockwise. F38 is going to be a quick mount, which means you press a button and lift your camera on. To put your camera on you just press it down directly ontop of the tripod. I went with the Arca-Swiss mount because I am used to sliding all my cameras off of tripods. The F38 mount is quicker if your going on and off the tripod alot during one shoot. The Arca-swiss does take a bit more time everytime you put the camera on and offIt is on the more expensive end of the spectrum for what it is. For this price you could get larger more stable full sized tripod, but thats not what this is servicing. Its really meant for the on the go / travel shooters. It takes up 1/3 that amount of space of my larger tripods. If your on the go, I would recommend this tripod!

Tripod and beyond
I needed a travel tripod and this one is it. I can’t attach my own video head to this but the one that is built in is very good. The head is a combination of a video head and below it is a ball head (to go vertical if you need to and also used to level your shots). I have a lot of Arca Swiss attachments and this is the one to get if you use Arca Swiss alot.This can go beyond the normal tripod configuration and nearly be touching the ground. If you think the price is steep, that’s because you’re paying for quality. There’s already a lady in youtube that does a hands on review showing all of its features if you need more information.

Broke after just a few uses, not worth the trouble
Not much to say, but what a waste of money. The arm came loose and then when I tried to screw out back on the plastic components just fell apart. Very disappointed. I should have just bought a Manfrotto like I’d originally planned.
