Good with some quarks
This is almost a great desk calculator, but this calculator has a few quirks. The calculator is nice and large, and has dual lines which lets one scroll up to see previous calculations. The thing is, unless a number is in the memory, one cannot scroll up and highlight a previous number in order to select and inserted that number into the next calculation. So, the two lines are very helpful, but limited by the absence of a proper copy and paste function.The buttons are nice and large, and the calculator has always registered buttons that I have pressed. Yet there is one very obvious button which is missing from this calculator, the “off” button. This calculator automatically turns off after a period of inactivity, but the manufacturer should have included a power-off button. When the calculator turns off by itself and then one turns the calculator back on, they lose all their previous calculations, so after turning the calculator back on, there is no more scrolling up to the previous calculations.I’m not exactly sure why they added a loud, annoying voice to this calculator, but at least one can turn off the sound. Overall, this is a decent large two line desk calculator that can use a better design, such as having an off button and a solar power strip, together with a copy and past function.

Nice LARGE keypad calculator, check angle. Here’s how to adjust volume/modes
It’s large, check the measurements this is sized more as a typical old school accounting /office calculator more so than a desk calculator. You probably already already know how to use a basic calculator. This one talks which is great for second checking yourself sometimes. The instructions are kinda clear but here’s to turn it offpress mode , then >, then 1, then 0 to turn it off.For volume, the description says volume is 0-3.There’s no OFF button it turns off automatically. It remembers the volume (setting (and presumably others) after it auto shuts off.But modes are the various modes enabled with 0 or 1, fix, 5/4,cut (floating decimal),etc…google if you don’t typically know these which would not be uncommon. Unit is on volume because that choice decides how it “reads out loud” the numbers to you either “one thousand” or “one zero zero zero”The Product description supplements the basic instruction sheet (which also has examples for functions not on this model).The plastic case has a texture i’m not fond of, if you’re like me and things like certain light weight rain coats or plastic with very thin ridges, things that make a noise when you rub across them this may bug you.. just a personal preference.Keep in mind the display angle, 30 degree’s, if you’re using a keyboard pull out tray it’s not going to fit there with your keyboard and mouse. With that and this on the desk depending on your sitting height or chair adjust-ability you may need more of a screen angle.Besides the above I like the 2 line display (scroll-able with arrow keys), functions, talks, remembers settings, LARGE screen and font size for older eyes like mine, keys feel good, product description seems accurate, instructions need a bit of clarity but overall that’s minor with additional info in the product description and pictures and Q&A.

Quality product a big step above other calculators of this type
Good points: Very easy to use with the large buttons and screen. The screen is tilted up so that it does not need to be close to be able to see it. It has all of the usual functions of a nonscientific calculator and has two unique and very nice features: (1) it talks! It tells you what number and function button you pressed and the result of the calculation, and (2) it displays the math calculation entered in addition to the result of the calcuation. I have found this really cuts done on errors and having to redo a long line of numbers being added, multiplied, etc. It also has an easy to use percentage calculator button. If you make a mistake and enter a wrong single number in acalculation, the left and right arrow buttons allow you to go to the wrong number and correct it without having to reenter all of the numbers in the calculation. You can also add single numbers to the value inputted by the use of those arrow buttons, again without having to input all of the numbers in the calculation. The up and down arrows allow you to scroll back to previous calculations entered after the last time the clear button was hit. The voice can be increased or decreased to muted. It also has a rounding feature plus others.Bad points: None.An excellent buy all around.
