Worth every penny
Super easy to use and great results. So far only scanned slides. Results from 35mm were amazing. 126 slides were small scanning image and tough to view on the screen. I made no color adjustments. A lot of my slides were from the 70’s and color was not so good anyway. A couple hours of work in 2 days loaded 800 slides onto a SD card. I pulled my slides from trays so all were always in the correct position to load in the slide. I am letting 2 boxes of loose slides until the end. Each one will need to be viewed and placed in the slide. Process will require much more time. Photo shop near me wanted 80 cents each to load on a CD. Saved a ton of money using this machine.

Great for the right use. Amazing value!
If you are a photographer like me with tons of old 35mm negatives and slides, you have likely tried a few different ways over the years to scan them. I have tried fairly high end flatbed scanners with negative capabilities, using my phone with a backlight source and I’m sure some other ways I can’t recall. The problem is those ways were A) Not super easy, B) Poor picture quality, C) Slow as hell or all of the above. This little device will NOT make it so you can do 20×30 prints of your negs but it will let you scan them very quickly and with enough quality to share online, etc. Most of all, it’s actually fun to use. The fact that it’s stand-alone makes it really easy too. I highly recommend this so long as your expectations are not super high in terms of the results.

Restore the Memories
If you’re older than 30, you probably know what I’m talking about… You have a box that’s just filled with photos that you, or your parents, took when you were younger. You know, before everything went digital. Sometimes the photos survived, but most of the time they were in an album that sat out too long and started to fade. How do you recover those memories?I recently found a box full of pristine negatives from a trip I took to Russia when I was in high school. I didn’t have many of the original photos, but the negatives were in great shape. That’s where this product comes into play. One afternoon and a trip down memory lane later, and I have a nice digital collection of pictures from my trip, some I hadn’t seen or thought about for years. Nostalga alone is worth the price! Now for the technical details. The scanner was well packaged and comes with everything you need to get going, except a memory card. It takes standard SD cards, which I had tons lying around, so that wasn’t an issue. It comes with a USB cable and can be powered via a computer or by using the included power plug. It has gloves to protect your negatives and various adapters to fit slides, 35mm and other film sizes. I used this with 35mm film.Loading the film was easy and you have some basic options to improve the quality of the scan and the color. I think I’d likely use a photo editor on my computer to enhance some, but it’s nice to be able to brighten up some of the darker pictures.Scanning is a breeze and then you can just connect the USB to your computer and download the files. In my images, you can see a picture I took from the Red Square and the final image is the scan uploaded from my computer. It looks great for a 30 year old negative!I highly recommend this scanner if you have a bunch of negatives lying around that you’d like to share digitally. It works great, is easy to use and really brings out a lot of fantastic memories.

AWFUL QUALITY PICTURES
This gizmo is totally unable to yield ANYTHING close to a good image from 8mm or Super 8 film. Pictured here is what was a good image on the original film itself — and this is the result of scanning it with this QPIX product. We spent several hours on it (the instructions are awful) and this was the best I could get. Don’t waste your money or your time on this this cheap gadget.

Pictures get stuck, glare on some photos, overpriced.
I have been using this to digitize my photos, a scanner would be better. It doesnt take smaller photos and the photos it does take get stuck. Used my printer/scanner for the small photos and wished I would’ve tried that before buying this. Some photos have a glare and some are now ruined from being stuck and having to pry them out with tweezers. For the price it was a disappointment. This photo project took many weeks and I am unable to return this item. Lesson learned.

Photos saved!
I purchased this for my wife after we did a clean out of our storage area and discovered a “million” photos saved in various boxes. We are downsizing or reducing our footprint and needed away to keep our photo memories without the many boxes. The solution was Digital Film & Photo Scanner, High Resolution 16MP Film Scanner with 2.4″ LCD Screen, 4 in 1 Scanner Converts 35mm/135 Slides & Negatives Film, Photo, Name Card for Saving to Digital Files. My wife is not a tech person but she was able to set this up without any trouble and start scanning and saving photos right away. Also get a SD card to increase storage capability.

Product broke the first time used.
I liked the fact I could now scan old photos and have them saved to a sd card. The problem occured when it was used the first time the secured photo fell into the scanner while removing the photo holder. Now it will not work at all. It appears it was a lesser quality product for this to happen. I was cautious when using the scanner but it broke. Contacted Amazon customer service and they provided me a link to contact seller on how I might be able to remove photo and fix scanner but the link was to return the product which would not allow me to contact the seller. I am extremely upset for the scanner was not inexpensive.

In concept the unit is good but in practice it delivers poorly. Slide delivery mechanism is bad, slides jam and it is not simple to use. It seems to have a very flaky software system because the display often shows up a triangle error. The quality of conversion is not great either but I suppose the lens quality in a cheap machine reflects in the output images. Not something I would recommend.

The image may be decent. But the colour is definitely off. You get to adjust either the red, blue, green, or yellow filters for the image you scan. But you have to do it manually, and it is impossible to get the original colours of the image, or even a believable colour. Don’t buy the product. Invest in something more professional with a higher cost. Saves time and effort.

The QPix is versatile. It will scan photos, slides and negatives. Easy, easy to use. I did have a problem with the first machine I purchased, but the customer support team at Qpix was excellent, and they resolved my problem within a few days. The quality of the scan is very good (I would use the highest quality setting at 16m) considering how faded and old some of the slides and/or photos were. The machine is designed to be used with a 32GBscan disk (do not use anything larger as the machine is not rated for above 32 though Amazon will try and sell you a 128GB disk). The machine comes with gloves. Take your time when loading the different accessories – they are plastic. I did not have any problems loading the trays, but I read a few reviews complaining about the quality. The quality is fine – if you treat the trays gently, and place the slides and film in the right place. Great product that will work for you!

Easy to use. scanned 30 slides in 10 minutes. Good 4X6 prints. Colors best corrected by Picasa or other app on PC.Color negs scan good and allow for decent 4X6 print. Slide and films holders could be better but do the job. Includes slide show option.

Windows10 and 11 on two different PCs did not recognise/find unit, including using ‘new hardware’ scanning. I did not find any reference to Windows versions in paperwork. Suspect unit is OLD tech. Unable to find drivers ‘anywhere’. Software provided on CD is an app only and no help. Hard copy manual “trouble shoot” no value … even mentions port on back of unit that does not exist.. suspect copy paste error not edited to update to match unit or model. Does scan to a memory card; quality ‘fair’. Need separate card reader to move pics to PC/drives. Method of handling hard copy photo is ‘cluncky’, plus big risk photo can fall inside unit (good luck after that). Unit flashy on outside but is a very limited device’. USB 2.0.
