3M Very High Bond 5952 Tape is a high performance double sided tape. This tape is part of the 5952 series of Very High Bond tapes. The tape utilizes 3M’s advanced pressure-sensitive adhesive technology and unique closed-cell foam construction, resulting in excellent adhesion properties and a perfect bond.
Characteristic:
1. The long-term temperature resistance is 132 ℃, and the short-term temperature resistance is as high as 208 ℃.
2. Good adhesion, suitable for non structural fasteners made of different materials.
3. A unique adhesive that is waterproof, solvent resistant, high temperature resistant, and has good adhesion to curved surfaces. It can fill irregular surfaces with good filling power, and is suitable for different surfaces.
Note:
This double-sided adhesive tape requires time and pressure to achieve maximum adhesion. You must press hard on the surface and then remove the red film.
Hold for 3 days to fully bond. The best adhesion occurs over time. It achieves 50% adhesion within 20 minutes, 90% adhesion within 24 hours, and 100% adhesion after 72 hours.

Works well
I had purchased some small appliance cord reels to be able to keep cords in place. They did come with a tape backing but in a very short time we’re coming off because of the heat on the toaster, George Forman purchased this tape a month or so ago and it’s worked like a dream

Great for Window Vent Shades
I used this tape to secure my Window Vent Shades when the cheap, paper-thin tape they came with failed after only 2 months. Vent shades have been secure with this tape for 9 months without issue.

3M double side tape
I used this product to attach a euro tag frame to the front of my new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L it worked out really nice. I also used 4 license plate screws as well to hold the frame on….. the double sided tape held the frame in place until I can put the four screws on it to hold it in place. Then I installed my European license plate.

Held LED lights
When the glue on my LED lights proved to lack durability, and regular glue couldn’t handle the heat. This tape really came in clutch. The LED strip lights have not budged and inch

Works under certain circumstances
3 M tape is usually pretty good but this was a bit lacking in durability. It sticks if you don’t put much weight on the tape (for example hanging a pic or ?) The fact that it is so thin is a drawback and I had to use several pieces in order to gain the adhesion I wanted. Also it dries out if you use it in the sun (or outdoors). The adhesion does not stand up to UV light. It does fairly well in wet environments i.e., rain once established (adhered to surface) but don’t try to stick on wet surface. So in summary it works as it should under certain circumstances.

Good enough for oven glass
The outer glass panel of our oven door fell off and luckily I caught it before it could hit the floor. I found the original tape had just deteriorated so I had a lot of scraping and cleaning to do. I got this and remounted the glass and it’s been through a few cooking episodes already with no issues. The wife is happy… Just in time for Thanksgiving! (I don’t know if it would survive on the inside oven glass, be careful).

Highly recommended
I bought this hoping that it would fix a part of my vehicles cap on the gear shift that popped off. Not sure why it popped off to begin with but that is another review on another site. This tape is exactly as described. I used just a tiny strip of tape and it is industrial. I was able to pop the gear shift cap back on and I don’t think its going anywhere for another 10 years. I hightly recommend this item.
