Large, awkward to use, cheap materials.
First off, when this arrived, it was a lot larger than the pictures in the listing made it look. I was expecting a more ‘portable’ device that could have been dropped in a backpack with ease and brought out and set up anywhere. This projector takes up a lot more space than expected.As I pulled it out of the packaging, it was rattling, which isn’t a great sign. I noticed that the focus wheel was very loose in it’s mounting, and the slightest touch would put it out of focus.As the projector fires up, the start up screen with ‘Smart Projector’ on it, refreshed about 8 times, not instilling confidence that this was indeed smart. The projector also touts ‘smart keyframe’ and in my experience, it did not. I selected that feature, and nothing happened. The menu did nothing and the keyframe did not adjust. I had to go in and manually adjust the keyframe. When the projector was turned off, and then back on again, if did NOT keep the setting, and I had to manually set the keyframe again when I used it again. It appears to not do anything automatically.I kept getting a bluetooth could not be paired error, when trying to connect to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I would see the pairing number on my phone which matched the one on the screen, but if I hit ‘pair’ I would get an error, or the ‘Pair’ selection was greyed out on the projector menu.I was able to get the projector set up on WiFi, and that is how I got the pictures of the screen in this review. These images are from one of my YouTube videos I shot in 4K. I have to say that the projection itself is actually nice, and decent quality for it’s size, and has a good amount of vibrance, as you can see in the pictures, so that aspect of the projector is where it’s getting it’s stars in this review from.However, the speaker is of terrible quality, it was incredibly tinny and distorted, now I never expect much out of these type of speakers, but this one was really not good at all.So – I highly doubt I will use this on a regular basis, it was cumbersome to set up, it was very plasticky and cheap feeling, the sound was terrible, but the picture was decent.

Great image quality, but failed on quality
Image quality is excellent. Very crip and bright.It’s one of the best quality image projector I own.However, it fails on so much area.Here are some things need to be improved.1. Projected screen is not aligned. There is white bar on top of the screen as if lens/mirror is croocked. I tried adjusting “trapazoid” setting (keystone), but none worked. It appears the white bar is LED light that showing due to bad alignment of the projected screen.2. If you are shooting screen at the ceiling, consider remote would not work. I thought the projector was bad since remote didn’t work when I pointed the projector at the ceiling. Later I found out the infered sensor is located on back of the projector, next to power on/off button. Hence when projector point to ceiling, remote would not work, unless you bring remote underneath the projector.3. Slow. Not sure if it needs more memory or faster processor, but installing Amazon prime app, signing in with user id/password took about 15 minutes….4. App crashes a lot. Youtube or downloaded app crashes very often. I tried “memory clean” option, and that seems helped a bit, but not much.I really like the clean sharp image, but it’s so frustrating to use this projector….BTW, the remote works with similar looking project that I have (and remote from other projector works on this projector, excpt mouse function).I cannot recommend this projector due to many frustrating issue/bad screen alignment (bad Q.C. control).

manage expectations
The image quality is pretty good for something at this price point. You definitely need a dark room to use it, given the limited brightness. I found the built-in operating system very sluggish, and was unable to load certain content on YouTube – maybe an issue with DRM content(?). Plugging in an external HDMI device like a Chromecast mostly eliminated that issue. I also tested the HDMI connected directly to a laptop and found the response time quite sluggish when moving a mouse around. I suspect this means that hooking up to a game console would be equally sluggish and frustrating if trying to play anything fast-paced. The speaker isn’t great, but you get used to it. Alternatively, you can connect to a Bluetooth speaker. The remote can be a little frustrating with the IR receiver on the back of the unit, but it can pick up light from the remote bouncing off walls and the reflective surface of the base. Adjusting the image is actually more effective and flexible than I would have expected when not using the ‘automatic’ mode. There are actually several options for warping the image to fit the destination. At this price point, it’s about as good as I would expect.

Nice solid, portable unit.
This small projector is definitely portable and works well. Lots of adjustability so it’s pretty easy to get the right size shape and focus of your projected media. Took a bit of time to do the initial setup of wifi and Bluetooth but once that was accomplished the projector worked flawlessly. Volume starts out quite loud.
