This English – Turkish dictionary is optimized for the Kindle Reader.

Words are translated directly in the Ebook and the result is conveniently displayed on the border of the screen. Learn English while reading English literature and enjoy the rapid translation of unfamiliar words.

The dictionary has been optimized with regard to the fact that the selection cursor of the Kindle can capture only single words.

With a total volume of more than 49,000 entries a complete and modern vocabulary is provided.

Please note that due to limitations of the Kindle reader the Turkish character ‘ı’ (i without the dot) is replaced by ‘1’.

To set it as the primary dictionary please follow these steps:
1. In the main menu, push the “Menu” button and select “Settings”
2. Once again push the “Menu” button and select the “Change Primary Dictionary” option.
3. Now you can set the “English – Turkish Reader’s Dictionary” as the default dictionary

    Should be improved
There is an significant problem with the finite verbs and plural words in this dictionary. It doesn’t give response for finite verbs and plural words although have translation for their non finite or single cases. Considering Kindle do not give response for the similar words, the dictionary becomes useless for Kindle. This significant problem should be solved to make the dictionary helpful in the Kindle.

    Below average
Turkish explanations are not good. It is very difficult to figure out what it is. If I knew, I would not buy it.

This fact render the dictionary quite useless a not mother-language speaker
I have a big problem with the Turkish translation: they do not use the correct Turkish alphabet. For example instead of the dot-less i (“ı, there is a 1 (one) and, more bothering, the ş and ğ are written as s and g. This fact render the dictionary quite useless a not mother-language speaker.

The Kindle is totally inappropriate for a dictionary as it takes much longer to find any word than in a paper versions. However, it may be that I have not worked hard enough to master…. a paper dictionary is still quicker in my view

Unfortunately, the ‘optimisation’ for kindle is not optimal, special characters (ğ, ş, ı) are not displayed properly. The basrahip in the manast1r is not a good ögretmen (başrahip, manastır, öğretmen), and though it is mostly obvious what letter belongs there, for a dictionary it’s really, well, not good. (Using a US version of the first model of kindle 3G)

i have found it too complicated in a way, giving me numerous versions of the translated word. one will do! preferably the right one.

Only see one word per page on my reader and a lot of the words are not the ones I would use when communicating in Turkish. Searched for basic English words which could not be found, ie, girl, breakfast.

This is unusable on a tablet. It is one word per page. Using the search option isso slow you are better off buying a printed dictionary. I would not recommend this.
