    I like this one!
The Phomemo M832 Thermal Printer is a very useful, elegant, adaptable, and high-quality gadget for those who require a compact and portable printing solution. The M832 produces crisp, sharp prints for a wide range of applications, including labels, receipts, and even photographs. Here are my findings.Build:THis printer is very portable. Despite being a little larger than some other portable printers in this category, you can safely put it in a backpack or bag and carry it with you. Performance:300dpi! That says all that anyone can say. The outputs are crispier, and clearer than lower resolution printers. Text and images are amazing, despite the shortfall of thermal paper. The thermal printing does appeal to those who prefer low cost printing solutions. One of the standout features is the speed—the M832 can print labels or documents quickly, without any noticeable lag or delays, which is crucial in fast-paced environments. You can also print a variety of paper and label sizes.Connectivity:Bluetooth! The companion Phomemo app is intuitive and easy to use, providing a range of templates for receipts, labels, and photos. The app also allows users to create custom prints and access a variety of print modes, making the M832 versatile for both personal and business use. It supports printing via mobile devices, but it also works with a PC when using the appropriate software, further enhancing its flexibility.Battery Life:With a 1,200mAh battery, the Phomemo M832 offers a decent amount of usage time, lasting for several hours on a full charge. For light to moderate users, the battery life should be more than sufficient, and recharging is done via a standard USB cable. It’s a great choice for those who need a portable solution without worrying about constantly being near a power source. You won’t go wrong with this device.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Perfect for a Student & Professional Use!
I cannot say enough good things about this little printer! As a student preparing for my licensing exams, I needed something reliable, compact, and easy to use—and this printer exceeded all expectations.Setup was a breeze, and the print quality is fantastic for documents, study materials, and even professional use. It’s lightweight and portable, making it ideal for on-the-go printing. I was able to print everything I needed for my exams effortlessly, and it played a role in my success—I passed my state licensing test and am now on my way to a national license!Beyond the printer itself, the customer service was outstanding. They were incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring I had everything I needed. It’s rare to find such great support these days, but they truly care about their customers. If you’re a student, professional, or just need a reliable portable printer, do not hesitate to get this one. Worth every penny!

    Quick, Convenient, Ink-less.
I am a longtime fan of Phomemo’s ink-less printers and this did not disappoint. I love the size and portability of this printer the quality is good and the speed of printing is great. It was a few more steps than I’m use to for connection but it was pretty clear to setup. Though it’s a bit pricey it pays off in convenience. The only thing I’m not a fan of is paper rolls. I prefer the flat paper but this one is not compatible with flat paper. I have no idea how to smooth the paper out after printing so that’s a bit inconvenient.

    Phomemo M832 Portable Printer
The Phomemo M832 is a compact, portable thermal printer designed for those looking for a versatile, on-the-go printing solution. Here’s a detailed review:Design and Build QualityThe M832 is sleek and lightweight, weighing just under 1lb, making it easy to carry around. The minimalist design is user-friendly, with simple buttons for operation and an intuitive interface. It’s small enough to fit into a backpack or a large purse, making it highly portable. It also comes with a carrying case, adding an extra layer of convenience for users on the go.Print QualityAs a thermal printer, it doesn’t require ink, which is a huge advantage for low-maintenance, cost-efficient printing. The print quality is better than the previous version, offering sharp text and good clarity for basic images, barcodes, and receipts. The print speed is reasonable, though not as fast as some larger printers. For small print jobs, such as receipts and invoices the M832 performs admirably.ConnectivityThe Phomemo M832 supports both Bluetooth and USB connectivity, giving users the flexibility to print from smartphones, tablets, or computers. Bluetooth setup is easy, allowing users to print directly from the Phomemo app.Ease of UseSetting up the printer is straightforward, and the Phomemo app (available for Android and iOS) provides extra features like label templates and design tools. It’s simple enough for beginners, yet offers enough versatility for more advanced users. The app supports various templates and customization options, making the printer suitable for a wide range of tasks.Battery LifeThe M832 is equipped with a rechargeable battery that lasts around 3-4 hours of continuous use, which is more than enough for typical tasks. Charging is quick, and the battery holds up well over time, making it a reliable option for travel or field use.CompatibilityThe printer works well with iOS, Android devices, and Windows PCs. It supports various paper sizes and types paper rolls, so you’re not limited to just letter-size paper. This flexibility makes it ideal for multiple applications. It also comes with sample rolls of different sizes, allowing users to try various options before committing to purchasing more paper.PriceAt an affordable price, the M832 offers good value considering its features. Compared to other portable thermal printers, it strikes a solid balance between performance and cost.Pros:-Lightweight and portable, perfect for on-the-go printing.-Affordable thermal printing solution with no need for ink.-Easy Bluetooth and USB connectivity.-Good print quality for receipts, invoices, and notes.-Long-lasting battery life, ideal for use during travel or at events.- Compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows devices.- Supports a variety of paper sizes, not limited to just letter-size paper.- Comes with sample rolls of different paper sizes for testing before buying more.-Carrying case included for added convenience when traveling or attending craft shows.-Perfect for craft shows, small businesses, or students who need to print invoices, receipts, or notes on the spot.-Improved print quality compared to previous versions of the printer.Cons:-Paper Separation Issues: When using letter-size paper, the printer doesn’t cut evenly or properly, which can be frustrating.- Charging Issue: When plugged in for charging, the printer turns on instead of just charging. After unplugging, you must manually turn off the printer, which can be inconvenient.-Specific Paper Requirements: The printer requires a specific type of thermal paper, which adds an ongoing cost over time. The need for proprietary paper could make it more expensive in the long run.-Memory Retention with Roll Paper: Because the paper comes in a roll, prints retain their “memory” from being rolled, meaning they don’t fully flatten after printing, which can affect the appearance and handling of prints.-No Color Printing: Limited to black-and-white printing, which may not be sufficient for users needing color output.ConclusionThe Phomemo M832 is a solid portable thermal printer that offers reliable performance for everyday print jobs such as receipts, invoices, labels, and notes. Its compact design, ease of use, and improved print quality make it a great option for small businesses, crafters, students, or anyone who needs to print on the go. The added benefits, like the carrying case and support for different paper sizes, further enhance its practicality. However, some design quirks, such as issues with paper cutting and charging behavior, may be inconvenient for certain users. Despite these drawbacks, the M832 provides excellent value for the price, especially for those primarily printing black-and-white text and simple graphics.

It is a perfect product but it doesn’t get as dark as normal black ink. It gets to about 90%. It is good enough though unless you are really care about a deep black. Thermal printers can also overheat quickly. I wouldn’t leave it on past 10 minutes or on hot surfaces or surroundings. You also need specific thermal paper, but that’s only after your paper runs out that you get with the printer when you purchase it. The thermal paper is the only legit continuous cost. Thermal printers also don’t normally print as fast. So you have to consider that as well. The compact design, printing paper inside, ink less function, it coming with paper, portability, bluetooth connectivity to phones and awesome easy to use app make for something special for the price. I would recommend to anyone who is fully aware of few cons and the many pros. I would recommend it to anyone who knows what they are buying and still desires it

ITEM REVIEWED : Phomemo Portable Thermal Printer, Wireless Bluetooth Inkless Printer for Travel____________________________________________________________________________________________I GO OVER A NUMBER OF IMPORTANT POINTS (FINDINGS)… That’s why this review is a bit long.Bear with me… I cover some interesting stuff I’ve found out. Your patience will pay off.First off I want to make clear how impressed I am with the resulting print quality of this portable printer. The print quality of the resulting prints are almost, if not equal (in one JPG picture even better), to that of a laser printer. Using my Windows PC, I printed out a number of documents on my laser printer, and then printed the same pages on the Phomemo Portable Thermal Printer. I also printed out a color photograph (JPG file) I had – of course for both printers this ended up being (as expected) a black and white photo print. When each print copy of the photograph was compared to it’s counterpart I must honestly say that they looked almost identical. The did differ somewhat in “print” but really not in quality… they just looked ever so *very* slightly different. BUT when I compared the various documents (a number of downloaded bills in PDF format, an MS-Word document, and a JPG page from a online user manual, and a JPG picture) that’s were it was almost impossible to tell the difference in any print quality. The Phomemo thermal printer copy of the JPG picture did show a little more (better) contrast than the laser printed copy. Otherwise, with all the other test prints, the only way I could tell the difference is when I looked closely at the paper type… that was a give away (mostly because of the curl)… So I placed a pair of matching documents under a sheet of clear plexiglass in hopes of then not being able to tell the paper type… and then I was amazed… I really was hard pressed to tell which print came from this printer or my laser. NOW THAT’s IMPRESSIVE !!!!The attached pictures are high resolution scan copies of the print out of the same JPG picture made on my laser printer, and on the Phomemo thermal printer.** NOW ** ABOUT ** THE ** PAPER **As the description says, this is a thermal printer. It prints on heat sensitive paper very similar to the paper we use for FAX machines. Although this paper is very noticeably thicker than the thermal paper used by most FAX machines. The paper roll that came included with the printer is a roll 8.5″ wide and 256″ long. OK, a little math. A normal letter page is 8.5″ wide and 11″ long. So the 256″ long roll should let you print 23 pages with 3″ left over at the end. Or 18 legal size pages (which are 14″ long) with a few inches left over. WHAT’s INTERESTING is that you can also get pre-cut (8.5″ x 11″) flat thermal paper from Phomemo as well for this printer – it has a sheet input feeder on the side opposite to where the print comes out where you can manually feed this ‘sheet paper’. That way the pages don’t curl up… and are clean cut (not having the zig zag edge from the rip knife on the printer output). This “Phomemo US Letter Thermal Printer Paper” can be purchased through Amazon currently for CA$ 20.15 for a box of 100 sheets (that comes to 20 cents per page). Through Amazon you can also order “Phomemo M832 Thermal Paper 8.5″ x 11″, 4 Rolls” currently for CA$ 33.29 (that comes to 46 cents per 11″ page). The rolls of paper are more convenient for travel in that you can keep one full roll inside the printer. That in mind I do want to say that this paper does look high quality. It feels “thick” almost like regular sheet paper. The back side feels like “normal paper” to the touch and is not heat sensitive. While the front side is heat sensitive and does have a very smooth very slightly shiny texture (the shine is only slightly visible if you hold it angled to a light source and if you’re being critical). So paper costs are not cheap with this printer. **BUT** you also have to consider that you DO NOT have to buy any ink or toner for this printer… so there is a savings from that side. Perhaps also consider other sources of not so high grade thermal paper which might fit (like ‘regular’ FAX paper?). Roll size will be a criteria in selection to make sure it fits inside the printer. In the end you have to think that the super convenience of being able to bring this printer easily with you in your laptop bag outweighs any extra (possible higher paper) printing costs… if any… the higher paper cost might just balance out considering how much ink jet ink costs these days… Thinking about that… actually I believe printing on this printer might even be similar in cost or possibly cheaper! It will depend of course to what you’re comparing it to.Although this printer has Bluetooth capabilities, Bluetooth is for hooking up with your Smartphone ONLY. To use this printer with your Windows PC (or Apple computer) you have to use the included USB-A to USB-C cable. In the package is also included a USB-A to USB-C adapter dongle in case you need a cable USB-C to USB-C to connect to your printer.I connected this to my laptop running Windows-10. It’s important to note that you need to plug this printer into your computer’s USB port directly. YOU CANNOT CONNECT THIS THROUGH A USB HUB. I tried to ignore this requirement and although the driver installation succeeded at the end my computer did state that it didn’t find my printer. So subsequently even reconnecting the printer to connect directly (bypassing my USB hub) it still wouldn’t work. I had to install the Windows driver a second time – this time with the printer connected directly to one of my laptops USB ports during driver installation. Everything went smoothly after that. This printer has a built in rechargeable battery. A full charge according to the documentation will let you print up to 150 pages. AND it will charge while you have it plugged into the USB port on your computer too. But not as fast as if you use a 5volt 2amp power supply. On USB3 it takes about twice as long… and uSB2 about 4 times as long. If the battery has some charge on it… you can keep printing while it’s connected to your computer. In between printing it will charge…**** A NOTE ABOUT THE USB CABLE ! ****The USB-A to USB-C cable that is included is about 2 feet long. So I did try to use a random 6 foot long USB-A to USB-C cable I had around the house. IT WOULD NOT WORK WITH THIS CABLE! All was good again when I went back to the cable supplied with the printer. Now “my” cable charges my smartphone OK. It even charges this printer OK. I can use it just fine to transfer JPG pictures from my smartphone to my computer. So I don’t know why it won’t work. Perhaps it’s just too long… or maybe the wires aren’t thick enough gauge for this length to make this printer happy. I have not yet tried any other USB cables yet… IF I figure out later what’s going on here I will update this review right at this point with my findings. I’ve got to dig up some additional USB cables to test with first.IN SUMMARY…. This is a fantastic printer for it’s price (CA $109.99 at time of this review) and even though the thermal paper you need to use for this printer is a bit pricey… BUT when you consider you don’t have to buy any expensive inkjet ink (or laser toner) then the print cost is comparable or even better (and also figure that decent “regular” paper will cost you 3 to 5 cents[or more] per page too). So printing with this printer isn’t really that costly at all – it’s comparable !!!__________________________________________________________________DISCLAIMER – This product was provided to me FREE of charge as part of the Amazon Vine Review program without any conditions … other than that I must submit a review within 30 days of receipt. This is my second printer from Phomemo, model M832.It’s one of the best thermal printers out there. Now you can print various size of printouts thanks to this printer innovative design. The printer has touch On/Off button with a nice blue colour LED status light bar.Since it’s a wide body printer so you get two push buttons for opening and loading this printer. Loading printer is very easy and straightforward.Good news is that the same legendary Phomemo app can be used to print.
