Totally worth it – no questions asked
I had a Netgear wifi mesh extender that just wouldn’t work with their Netgear Mobile app. Netgear used to support desktop apps and configuration and for the first year, the Extender was a dream. Now I can’t get the Extender to work with my home mesh wifi. THe Mobile App leaves it total disarray/misconfigured. Honestly – I think it’s a mobile software issue but basically the Extender would just kill our Wifi so I stopped using it. Returning it was a breeze. Thanks Asurion!

Fast service
I had my router fail and after several attempts to resolve it was decided that the router failed. Asurion was fast to resolve my issue. They sent an Amazon gift card so I could replace the router @ Amazon where I had bought the original.

Easy and fast!
We used Asurion for a monitor that died on us. When we filed the claim, Asurion sent us a free shipping label. We packaged it up and dropped it off at a UPS Store. A couple days later, Asurion sent us an Amazon gift card for the amount. Great job, Asurion!

I hate this company.I purchased a protection plan for a disc drive that was compatible with my laptop. Months later, when the disc drive suddenly stopped working, I thought, “no problem, I have a protection plan from Asurion.”So I contacted Asurion by phone. It was the standard-issue terrible customer service experience (“press 1 for this and 2 for that…”). When I finally spoke to a human person, I informed her of the situation. The representative instructed me to fill out a claim on Asurion’s website.I filled out the claim but did not see a claim number. So I called back to ask for the claim number. When I finally got another human person on the line and asked for the claim number, I was told that the claim was not put on file because the disc drive was still under manufacturer warranty. I was then instructed to contact the manufacturer.Essentially, I spent over an hour to be told that, even though I purchased a 3 year protection plan, Asurion wouldn’t lift a finger during the first year of the plan unless I jumped through hoops with the manufacturer. So jump through hoops I did. But wait, you two or three people who might actually read this, it gets better….After an arduous campaign of support chats, robotic voices, and being put on hold, I was able to submit an RMA (return merchandise authorization) with the manufacturer, so I could send the disc drive in and hopefully get it repaired. I had to pay for the shipping, of course. A week after sending the disc drive to the manufacturer, I was told that it could not be repaired and that there wasn’t a replacement unit to send to me.So, I contact Asurion again to report that I have jumped through all hoops with the manufacturer and was unable to get my problem resolved. At this point, I was told that Asurion would finally be gracious enough to acknowledge my claim (hooray for getting what I paid for!), but that in order for Asurion to reimburse me for my purchase I would have to send the defective product to them.I didn’t have the defective product. The manufacturer had it because I was instructed by Asurion to handle it with the manufacturer.Asurion refused to honor the protection plan I purchased because they could pawn me off on the manufacturer. Then when the manufacturer couldn’t help and Asurion’s hand was forced, I had already been put in a box because I no longer had the product to send into Asurion.I can not express the level of hatred I have for this *canine scatological expletive* company. Asurion sucks. Asurion sucks. Asurion sucks. Asurion sucks. Asurion sucks. Asurion sucks. Asurion sucks.

Save the box!
This shredder was great until I put in a credit card to shred – then it jammed up. I reported it to Tech Support and there was no solution we could find, so I was transferred to customer service because I had purchased the warranty. There I had to start the whole process of explanations over again – which lost them a star (this is the computer age – can’t the report be brought up that the Tech was given?). I was told they would supply a prepaid shipping label and I would need to send the defective one back to them and they would issue a refund. That is a major drawback to almost any warranty – unless you have saved the previous packing material. They immediately sent me the label. I was able package it and send it back – and they were extremely fast in refunding me the purchase price of the shredder. They do stand behind their products and honor the warranty.

I would never buy an expensive item or electronic or really just about anything that offers this. Had an electronic item that was near the end of coverage when it stopped working and they refunded my money right away
