My only issue was I chose the option to have UPS come with a label and pick up the item and they never showed but that is on UPS. When I reached out to Asurion they were great. Offered to do the pickup again but I didn’t trust UPS not to do it again so I requested a label, she emailed it immediately and handed it to a UPS driver myself.I finally got on a Monday. By Friday I was emailed a gift card to purchase the item. Obviously they couldn’t repair it so they refunded the cost so we can purchase another!I will now buy asurion insurance whenever offered…and I never had before this. I highly recommend it.

This is a defect only, most of the protection doesn’t cover cracked screens or the like with non-portable devices beware!!Samsung monitor that screen cracked and would not cover the screen. Reason not a portable device.. please read small print before buying!

I only wished one could drop the product off to a shipping facility for packing and shipping. It was a printer so there was quite a lot involved. I had to spend some funds to purchase a box large enough.Other than that the process was smooth and satisfactory.

WHY BOTHER getting.
Reason I purchased insurance on an expensive product that I purchased from Amazon. Well because I wanted protection..Being that I’m still under warranty. I filed a claim on my printer. Today-Aug 18,2022I qualified for getting my printer fixed.Key word-“Qualify” when you purchased insurance. I shouldn’t qualify for anything. I purchased this protection for a reason. They are going to send me a shipping package to send my printer back. And it will take ANOTHER 10 days or more to get my printer back. WOW!!! Like WHY did I even purchase insurance when it’s gonna take THAT long to get another one sent back.. SMH!!My opinion, it’s all about money. These companies Don’t care.. So I’m out of working for 10 plus days till they return my printer back. Mind you it was a $936.70 plus $93.99 plus taxes. So I paid $1,013.98You would THINK they send me a refurbished one till mines was getting fixed. But NOPE..This is my process in order to get my printer fixed.. Just RIDICULOUS!!!NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Nothing but a joke.

Bought a over priced used video card at the time mining was a thing. so i had a feeling the card was used for mining. So I was willing to pay the $120 for insurance. What you know 2 years out of the 3 card failed. Sent in a claim they told me to ship the card. Took 5 days to get to repair place. 2 days later got the text cant fix the card and refund me the hole $999.99 for the card instantly.

Not helpful if replacement needed immediately
Bought this plan for a 49″ Samsung Odyssey G9 curved monitor, which was $999. The board went bad just about a year after purchase. Manufacturer warranty was expired, so I tried to use my ASURION plan to get a reimbursement for the monitor so that I could re-purchase one on Amazon. ASURION offered a shipping label to send to them the monitor for repair. A few problems with that solution is that I have no giant box with proper packing to protect it from further damage during shipping, and I use the monitor for work. So, then for several weeks I am without a monitor for work. Yes, they are willing to repair, but it is so incredibly inconvenient, the protection plan isn’t even worth it on an item such as this.

I returned the product to which this coverage was applied and got a full refund.
And, the good news is, the price for the coverage was included in the refunded amount. So don’t be afraid to purchase Asurion coverage for items you buy. So the 5 stars I gave this is for the coverage being above-board with respect to refunds.

Won’t cover damages of poorly designed products
Don’t even bother ordering on expensive monitors/tvs. I had a flex ribbon on my monitor that got loose due to how fragile the plastic cover is and they wouldn’t cover any repair on it since it was considered “physical damage.” Also be careful with the Odyssey G9, for an expensive monitor like that the frame shouldn’t be as fragile like that.
