No Regrets, This is All You Need (probably)
Technology has moved to a point where everything is at our fingertips and exchanged electronically, and I can often go 2-3 months or more without printing a single page. I had a color inkjet multifunction printer that did a great job at color photographs–if you used the manufacturer-branded ink and paper and the printhead was clean. But, it was used so rarely, that there was always a time- and ink-consuming process of running nozzle cleanings and printhead checks, supplies were expensive, it always seemed like one color was out or a clogged nozzle left left lines across the print, and most the time I just went with whatever substandard output and missing colors it produced because color wasn’t critical for what I needed to print. When the printhead gave out rendering the whole thing useless, I debated replacing it with something similar or even one of the extremely overpriced “econotank” style printers, but really questioned if I needed color. I was frustrated with the material costs of inkjets and felt like I’d spent hundreds on ink, hundreds more on the printer, and had used maybe half a ream of paper over several years. If I do need a photograph, there are plenty of local convenience stores with photo-printing services that produce far better and more resilient prints. But, I was hesitant to abandon color completely–I was using black-and-white laser printers 30 years ago; it seemed like a step back.I have no regrets with this purchase. It can sit for weeks without any use, but then print flawlessly, with very little warm-up, and a fraction of the noise of the inkjet printer. It also takes up a fraction of the space. I have not missed color.Obviously, if you have a hobby or business that depends on printing at home in color, it’s not going to work. But, if you just need to print the occasional coupon, recipe, tax form, written paper, or other document, this printer does a great job, has a low per-page cost, produces sharp clear text, and doesn’t care whether it’s used every day or sits idle for weeks.

    Works wirelessly like a champ!
I don’t print many pages every year and ink jets always dried up on me and were rendered useless right when I needed them. My 25 year old laser printer finally disintegrated so this was a great choice. It’s economical, prints great and was super easy to set up so I can print from my phone or laptop wherever I am in the house. I bet it won’t last 25 years but it’s great so far!

Great Printer at a Great Price!
I’m really happy with my Brother Compact Monochrome Laser Printer! The price was excellent for what it offers, and it’s been a reliable workhorse for all my printing needs. I use it often for both regular paper and card stock, and it handles everything like a champ. The wireless setup was quick and easy, and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity or performance. The print quality is sharp and consistent, and it’s fast too, which is a big plus. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable laser printer.

Cost/Size/Ease-of-use are all good, but setup and printing quality could be better
Used to replace a previous Brother HL-5370DW that worked tirelessly for years. So I have some experience with Brother printers. That said as a disclaimer here is a fast review for potential buyers.Pros: The Brother HL-L2350DW has a compact size that is appreciated (much smaller than earlier HL-5370DW). It is fast to spool out print jobs and cranks out sheets at a decent clip. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other offerings at a similar build quality. Should work well for documents and such, but not sure it is the best choice for quality of grayscale images.Cons: Setup was kind of a pain. There isn’t an easy way to set-up the wireless function on a network with any security, if you don’t use the easy WiFi set-up, without using a old style USB connector (I had to go out and buy one to get the job done). The setup software tries to opt you in for a lot of apparent email spam, “express registration”, subscription replenishment services, etc… There are lots of pop-ups during the install process. It also wants to install its own Brother Brand “Status Monitor” instead of using the one in your OS and lives in your status tray…maybe forever? The status monitor offers additional chances to opt into subscriptions and conveys the image of one black rectangle, which I guess is your current toner supply level. Overall not very useful or helpful. Once you get it all set up things are pretty much smooth sailing from there on out. The only print quality thing I noticed was that prints of grayscale images come out exceedingly dark and lose a lot of their definition.

Love this printer when it works. All the reviews are correct. Fast, clean, ez set up, sleep mode annoying and difficult to figure out. The printer stayed in one place for 10.5 months and just went blank one day – no humming, unplugging, wait times – nothing was bringing it back.. Spent an unusual amount of time going through the same 7-8 steps (online advice and via Brother support) to confirm this printer was a goner. No warning light, no messaging. Died in it’s sleep. The warranty covered it’s replacement but getting the replacement has been a real chore – going on 2 months since being told the replacement is on the way from Montreal to Toronto.
