Great size for students!
This pocket dictionary is the perfect size and a great addition to the backpack of any student! I purchased this for my 6th grade daughter who is always asking me what a particular word means. I could give her the answer, but how long would she retain the meaning. Instead, I tell her to “look it up!” This helps her in so many ways (resourcefulness, spelling, and last but not least; word retention). I don’t really see any drawbacks to this dictionary. It’s a great size and has enough words to meet her needs. I was surprised not to be able to find a dictionary in stores. I would definitely purchase again or recommend to a friend.

Gets Lots Of Use
I went to a Church of Rome school in the 1960’s. We never learned how to spell. I know there about a thousand spell programs out there, but the old adage still holds true. How can you look up a word if you don’t know how to spell it. This book sits right next to my laptop. I may not use it now more than twice a week, but it is well worth the price. Nice compact size , smaller than a 4x 6 index card. Not every word you need to look up is going to be in a 330 page book

Great Pocket Dictionary
I bought this for my 8 year old as I felt my child should learn how to use a dictionary instead of using “Google” or “Siri” all the time. It is pocket sized and is great if your child reads on the go. This way if a word comes up that they don’t know, they can look it up wherever they are instead of using their phone or asking you to define the word.

Convenient and useful – limited content but covers basic vocabulary well
Small type face and limited content but it is, after all, a pocket dictionary, so you would expect that. It is quite compact and easy to pack or put in a pocket and the price was very reasonable. I bought it for a friend who is an adult learning to read English so he could take it with him, making it convenient to use and in that respect, it is successful.

dictionary
got for my husband. He likes to use at the computer table instead of picking up the large one.

Great learning tool, convenient size
I purchased this for my 9 year-old son so he would have a dictionary in his backpack. This is the perfect size and weight. It is not too bulky and even fits into his binder. It is convenient for him to take it in and out of his backpack. He also uses it at home when doing his homework. It is an excellent tool for a student.

Basic English dictionary without any big words you would actually need to look up
I’m a college student and usually, I just keep my phone out in class so that I can use the dictionary.com app to look up big words people use in class that I don’t understand. This semester I have a teacher who is total antiphones in class and won’t let us use them so, therefore, I have no clue what she is saying because she doesn’t know how to put things simply. She has to use big words to explain things that don’t need big words. I ordered this so that I could use it in class and look up all the words she was saying so that I can keep up with the lecture and found that this dictionary didn’t have half of the words she was using. This dictionary is small and only uses basic words with just a few advanced vocabulary. It would be perfect for a grade school student.

Fue un regalo, y creo que es de buen tamaño para llevar de viaje o entre tus cosas para la escuela. Además a un excelente precio.

とても小型で軽くて使いやすいです。定義は短めですが、ちょっと調べたいときなどに重宝します。学習者用ではないと思います。

Very small print. Have to use magnifying glass.

Es un excelente diccionario. Sobre todo para alumnos. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Tengo una versión de los 90s y por eso lo compre como obsequio para estudiante.
