    Great for learners
I’ve been studying Farsi for about 4 months so far and have a very long way to go. This dictionary is just what I needed. There are few options out there, either in print or on the internet, and many use the Farsi script, which will take me at least another six months to learn competently. This has an easily understandable Romanized script, and claims to have 4,000 dictionary entries. I haven’t counted them and presume that half are Farsi-English, but the vocabulary is more that adequate for a beginner or even low-intermediate learner. The text has two main parts — the dictionary, and just over 30 categories of thematic phrases and vocabulary (travel, shopping, weather, the body, etc.). Highly recommended.

Good pocket reference for English travelers or workers.
Normally I don’t like phrase-books for traveling. However, having spoken enough Farsi working in Iran decades back — I really enjoy this book for refreshing my memory — and learning to read (Arabic) script. As I read words and phrases, I find entire phrases pop into my mind, as well as forgotten wonderful times, adventures and friends in Iran. It’s a very usable review/resource for English speakers — in a style that I like.

Not for academic or practical use
This book only includes transliterations. Not worth your time if you want to actually learn the language in written and spoken form. This is a glorified phrase book with no practical application for individuals who intend to actually learn the language. Avoid this book unless you intend to impress your friends with the ability to parrot basic phrases such as to crudely ask where the bathroom is, likely with mispronunciation.

    Perfect reference book
Exactly what I was looking for. I love how it shows how to say things in farsi and how to pronounce it

    Smaller than What I expected
It is a good book if you want to improve your Farsi or you want to translatesomething very quick. But if you want a real dictionary and use it professionally this would not be your choice.Overall the quality of the book was OK, I just made a bad choice.

    Save your money
Not enough words in the bilingual dictionary section. Every time I want to find a word it’s not there. Not really a great aid for the beginner. Probably better for a less “needy” speaker.

This is the only helpful Farsi to English dictionary
If you need a real back and forth dictionary, this is your only choice. It’s huge and concise

this dictionary is to concise for me. I need something more substantial and more dipped in literature and background usage of words in contest of day to day life.

A good dictionary however no farsi manuscript used which would have made it useful for future advancement in learning.
