Pam or Karen?
Featuring the stunning and multitalented Rashida Jones as Karen, Season 3 of The Office has always been my favorite of the series. Ah, would that every man could be desired by two people like Karen and Pam (played with such tenderness by Jenna Fischer). That is the dilemma of Jim (John Krasinski): whom should he choose? In the end, we all knew he was going to be with Pam; but many of us still felt bad for Karen, who was equally sweet in her own way.As for the technical aspects of this Blu-Ray set:For some reason, although The Office fandom has always held Season 3 as among the best of the series (in tandem with Season 2)– some even going so far as to say that the show should have ended with the third season –Season 3 was among the last of the 9-season series to get the Blu-Ray treatment. Picture quality is superb, but so was that of the original DVD set, so the quality is only slightly improved. Likewise, the bonus features included on the Blu-Ray release are identical to the DVD set: deleted scenes, commentaries, blooper reels, etc. There is no additional bonus material unique to this set.So the question becomes, do you want to spend the money to purchase Season 3 on Blu-Ray when the DVD version is nearly identical in quality? That’s a choice only the customer can answer; but speaking for myself, as a diehard fan of this season, I am very pleased with my Blu-Ray set.
