Network printer
Easy to set up. Software you must get off the internet. Set up an account and use your email address and password to continue the software setup. Instructions are kind of missing some info. Print quality is OK. The print cartridges are small.You must know if you fax a document and one of your color ink is out of ink. Your fax will not be faxed. Other than that , it works well with your Smartphone. Wireless connection is great.

Terrible!
We bought an HP 8600 printer and it was outstanding, and performed perfectly for 20 years, but of course, they are no longer making that model. So we bought this one and it is terrible! EVERY time I want to print, it says it is not connected to the internet (when everything else in my house is.) EVERY time I want to print, I have to turn the printer off and I have to be right next to it with my device to print. It won’t print from downstairs like my other printer did. Several times when I printed multiple pages, it stopped in the middle of one page and I had to restart the printer again to get it start again and I had to start all over. Also, EVERY time I print a couple of different jobs, it does not do it well. So you need to do each job separately and check all pages because it doesn’t always finish the job. When I try to copy something, I have to turn it off and on again. I can get it to work and when it prints, it is fine, but it takes a lot of finesse. It is not at all reliable. I am retired and don’t use it much, but it would be unacceptable if I needed to use it for my job.

it works for what I need
this printer works for my home use. the set up was not difficult. I am using the WIFI option to connect to my laptop. I do like the secure connect option (security). i do not leave my printer on. when turning on it does take time to initialize. printing is good. the ink cartridges are expensive. overall i am PLEASED for NOW with my purchase.

Great Value & Quality
This printer is a great value for the money. I needed it for home use. Set it up for wireless connectivity. My previous printer costs twice what this one did and this one matched the features I previously used. I can even print from my cellphone to this printer. Couldn’t do that with the prior one. Can’t speak to ink capacity as I am still on my first set. Been using it a month and I love this printer.

The copy machine is great but the ink cartridges do not last long at all and there are 4 of them.The cartridges are not cheap either.

One Star is Generous
This machine was terrible from the start. Connectivity issues where immediately apparent. I spent hours going through all of their trouble shooting suggestions because we all know what a complete pain it is to call in for human help. Alas, there I sat on the phone for more wasted hours waiting to speak to someone and get some help. This same miserable event happened two more times. That does not account for the dozen times I tried to fix it (sometimes successfully) on my own. Over the course of the 8 months that I owned this machine, I dread to think of the wasted house I spent trying to get a simple print. Now please understand that I use this for work. I cannot tell you how many times I had to hand write a business check because of this dreadful machine. DO NOT BUY IT, AND DO NOT EXPECT HP TO GIVE YOU SUPPORT OR HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. After all this I naively expected them to warrant their machine; they offered me 30.00 bucks. That’s right. 30.00 bucks for the prorated worth of this machine after 8 months. So, HP is clearly stating that the machine is worthless and must be considered disposable. DO BETTER HP. And by the way, I cannot believe their claim as the most trustworthy…I have zero trust. Buy a Brother, my new one is working like a charm!
