CAUGHT FIRE – almost burned my house down
This item is supposed to be OEM replacement for Frigidaire Front Load Dryers – I ordered from Amazon to save some money on the parts … When my repair man came to install it – he was astonished at the low price – the actual replacement part from manufacturer website is over $130. – he said it looked like the same part and the connections were all the same – the dryer worked fine for a couple months but within the last week it started to get much hotter than usual when drying clothes. Yesterday – it caught fire and smoke was pouring from the dryer. Luckily I was home and semi-monitoring the laundry room. If I had been even 5 minutes later discovering this issue I would probable have lost my home. This is NOT an OEM part – it is a ‘knockoff’ – and unfortunately – you get what you pay for. I am now out the cost of the parts here on Amazon – another $150 for the repair man to install it – and now I have to go and purchase a brand new dryer. I definitely wish I had gotten the part from the manufacturer website – live and learn…. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED – FIRE HAZARD !!!!

Great replacement and fixed our dryer
This is the second one we ordered in less than 5 years which makes me think there is a manufacture defect! Nevertheless, this part fixed our problem. Great find!

New dryer vs. Yearly element replacement
We bought our Frigidaire dryer new and it never fails, we have to replace the heating element yearly. This has been going on for 6.5 years now. We have tried different manufacturers and they all last right around a year in our dryer. We installed this one last March and 11 months later are receiving the error code saying that the heating element is not working properly. Even thought the dryer is still currently drying the error code usually gives about 1-2 weeks of a heads up before it quite working altogether so better to buy a new one now. With this particular heating element, we received more for our money since it includes a regulator and thermostat replacement. And replacing a heating element once a year is definately more cost effective than buying a new dryer for me at this moment. Overall I think my only complaint is with the design and lack of longevity of the heating element itself, not this specific manufacturer.

Perfect replacement for Electrolux dryer
Part arrived in a box, with the two sensors bagged separately as shown in the picture. This was a pretty easy swap for the old burned out heating element, reusing the screws from the part being removed to attach the sensors.

Only lasted 30 days. Cheap Product
I have bought many of these from different sellers over the years on Amazon to replace the heater element in my Electrolux dryer. They usually last about 1 year. The one I brought from this vendor lasted 30 days. When I removed the element from my dryer the metal material inside the cylinder was twisted and bent. I can only guess this is due to cheap and inferior material used to make it. I do not recommend buying from this supplier.

Electrolux Frigidaire is the problem
I go through about 3 of these a year. There is something wrong with the Frigidaire Electrolux design that continually overloads the heating element. I have zero lint in the line and a brand new electrical panel and wiring. This part fixes the e64 error that occurs when the dryer eventually overheats. I can usually do this repair in 30 minutes because I’ve done it so many times. Way cheaper than a new dryer or repairman. One photo shows the new one installed, the other shows the old one that overheated and shorted out.
