Summer: the room needs more cold air from the HVAC – Yes, it helps! -> AUTOMATIC RUNNING – COOL MODEWinter: the room needs more warm air from the HVAC or furnace – Yes, it helps! -> AUTOMATIC RUNNING – HEAT MODEAll year round: the air in the room is not well ventilated (“dead air zone” said a user) – Yes, it helps! -> CONTINUOUS RUNNING
Please note: One is enough for a small room, more is needed for a large room. As you may know, the register booster fan’s performance is affected by multiple factors, such as the intensity of HVAC/furnace airflow reaching the duct opening, room size, sealing of the duct opening, etc. Remember to reach out if needed – The VELLEE team (Elsa, Olivia, James) is committed to assisting you.
I know size matters. How do I choose the correct product size?
Easy to do in 2 steps. Step 1: remove the existing vent or decorative frame, then measure the duct opening (register hole). Step 2: find a register booster fan that matches the measured size.
What sizes do you (VELLEE brand) offer?
Here at VELLEE, there are 4 sizes available currently: 4” x 10”, 4” x 12”, 6” x 10”, and 6” x 12”.
I understand that any fan will make noise. How loud is this register booster fan 6″ x 10″?
VELLEE register booster fan 6″ x 10″ ensures efficiency (up to 200 CFM airflow) while minimizing noise (as low as 18dBA). Select a desirable fan speed/noise level – 10 levels adjustable; it gets quieter as the fan speed reduces.
What do previous users think of such noise?
1) “like white noise”; 2) “can accept”; 3) Some noise-sensitive users shared their tips: “I leave it on 10 level to cool the room when I’m away, and at low level when I’m home to keep the room cool.”
From historical data, what is the main reason for returns?
Size, size, size. Size matters! Please refer to first Q&A above to choose the correct product size.

Holy COW. Buy this fan. It is a game-changer.
Update 8/21 – I’ve used the fan for a few weeks now, the end of summer in Virginia. I would objectively say that this fan has “bought” me a few degrees of temperature relief, maybe 3 degrees in my case, but sometimes less. I have noticed reduced cooling in a different room on this floor, and this product does move quite a bit of air on high speeds. This is a good product, it absolutely moves air, and it will make a difference.=====================I just finished installing the 6×10 version, about 30 minutes ago. It is about 9:30 am now here, and I literally can’t wait to get a review out. This product is literally a game-changer. I know that sounds like a sales pitch, but I work for the US Gov.This fan will tell you the TEMP of the air coming out, which turned out to be an issue for me because my air vent runs through a hot attic. It also has some fancy settings that I don’t understand yet.You need to remember that AIR will follow the path of least resistance in your house. This is an extraordinary tool to help with a problem area. I may still need to RESTRICT air in other places, even though I literally have a turbo-charger on 1 room. I live in a nice, 3-story townhouse, and you all know that the only thermostat is in the MIDDLE LEVEL. I definitely flipped the large lever in my HVAC closet, over to “summer” already. Important – if you don’t know what that means, you MUST FIND OUT if you have such a thing in whatever place that you live in. Over the next week I will find out what this product will do to my bedroom temperature up here on the 3rd floor. I might decide to turn this product OFF every night when I leave work.Seriously, what is the temperature WORTH to you? This thing does everything that I would hope for, and on high-settings (10) I can definitely hear it. It won’t disrupt a video-call, but it is a background noise. It moves enough air on high-settings that I may need to divert the air with one of those clear-plastic things. It has controls like start-and-stop settings that I don’t understand yet, but I certainly am going to read-up. If you receive one that is BROKEN in any way, return it or whatever, and get another one. Will update in a week or two, and include pictures.

A good option for people with poorly designed ductwork
First off, it is important to know that these do not resolve issues with your furnace blower, nor do they repair issues you may have with ductwork. However, in certain cases, these CAN aid in airflow through ducting that is poorly designed. My home has just that, poorly designed ductwork that favors the upstairs more than the downstairs. This is because hot air is fed upstairs first, then has to travel back down the walls to heat the lower level. This meant that the furnace had to work very hard to keep the downstairs at the set temp, and the upstairs would always be much warmer. Along with that, my kitchen had virtually zero airflow due to the lack of a cold air return, and a single register pointed into the room from the outside wall.I purchased one unit initially to test in our kitchen. It made a big difference, because it helped draw air through the longest duct run in the house, and pushed the air further into the kitchen. We’re talking a room that historically had no heat, now having heat.I used the 50% coupon that came with the first unit to buy 3 more for the down stairs. The idea being to help bias a little more air downstairs to even out our temperatures. It has not been very cold yet, our coldest nights only dipped into the 30s to date, but these have helped to even out the temperature discrepancies, and as a result, the furnace run time has almost been cut in half. The downstairs is warmer, upstairs is not as hot as it used to get.Controls are simple to set up and they work well. Set the the ductwork temp you want the fans to turn on/off at, and your desired fan speed. The highest speed moves a fair amount of air without being too loud, I run ours at about setting 5, except for the kitchen which got setting 7.The only downside I see with these fans so far is that they require a cord/wall outlet. But that is unavoidable, and I would rather use wall power over batteries anyway. We did have one power outage and all the fans maintained their settings just fine. If your home struggles with similar issues to mine, these may help you get some much needed airflow into rooms that are lacking, but it will come at the cost of airflow through other parts of the home. If you have overheating in one area, and under heating in another, these will likely help. A+ rating so far

As advertised
Fan has good flow. Not overpowering. Remote only controls Fan speed. Still haven’t figured out temperature control. Have to change that on the unit. Not the Remote. Not sure what temperature it shows/incoming or outgoing room. Noisy at 10 but not noticeable at 8 or less. I like this one better than another brand I bought last year. Working consistently for 5 days now. Other brand still going after a year so likely dependable.

this is legit
This product is 5 stars. Like many other reviewers, we have a small bathroom (approx 30-40 sq feet) that is at the ‘end of the line’ for the furnace and gets very poor heat flow. It was consistently 10 degrees cooler in this bathroom than the rest of the house. I bought the vellee register booster and it has made this bathroom SO much more comfortable. It is now the same temperature as the rest of the house, and even makes the room adjacent to the bathroom a bit warmer than it was before. This products is definitely worth the money. Make sure to read the instructions, as the programming is not intuitive, but the instructions explain everything clearly. The fan noise does not bother me, but I am the kind of person who prefers a little white noise in the background when I sleep.

Works as expected
This vent fan helps with a room in a 65 year old house without any insulation. This room is the hottest in the summer and coldest in the winter since it has two exterior walls. It helps to make the room more comfortable like the rest of the house. The sound of the fan on high is not an annoyance either. It is a slight hum.I did have a slight issue of the unit not turning on but after contacting customer service, they sent me out a replacement within a couple of days. They were easy to talk to and fast with responses. Would definitely do business with them again.
