Really nice 120V AC Fans. They move the air advertised.
I love these fans! They have been working continuously for about a week to generate positive pressure in a room of my home I wanted this feature in. The fans move the amount of air they advertise which was important to me! You can feel the airflow several feet away if you are still and there is even the slightest temperature difference. In an air conditioned room you will probably definitely feel it. The build quality is good, as is fit and finish. As with all AC powered fans they are a bit on the loud side but to me the sound isn’t irritating and sound (once bearable) wasn’t an issue in my build. In fact the sound is comforting in my situation, it acts as a fail safe so I know the fans are running at all times. You wouldn’t want to try and sleep with this running next to your bed or anything though. I own quieter AC fans but their air movement is a lot less. Longevity and the ability to move a lot of air 24/7/365 was my requirement for my build. As I said there are probably quieter AC fans out there but you will either sacrifice air movement or pay a lot higher price. The fans come with removable metal grills on both sides and the proper mounting screws and nuts to reach through both grills and the thickness of the fan itself while having enough protrusion to securely mount to anything. The electrical mounting clip for the 120v leads is safe and pretty high quality. I was impressed.I will update on longevity of these fans in continuous operation. If they keep going for a long while I will purchase more of them for my projects. Sometimes you just want to move a lot of air for ~25 watts on mains power, 24/7 with a noise reminiscent of a powered hobby aircraft for a cheap price. If that’s your use case you should try these fans.

inventors’ pal!
Have used these units in production fog machines, safety ventilators, special effect wind generators and so many other backstage gizmos. Metal frame, fairly quiet, good bearings and fairly priced. They are not silent, just pretty darn quiet. The recording sound engineer can usually take any hum and/or air rush out pretty easily. In live events, the small operational noise doesn’t seem to make it to the first row, so, good.

Not as Quiet
Heavy duty well built but just to loud for our fireplace .Easy return

Perfect for enclosed network racks
I work in IT and install network racks on occasion as the need arises. I prefer installing enclosed racks from a noise, physical security and cosmetic reasons, so I like to make sure there is ample airflow moving through them. The included fans generally burn up bearings pretty quickly. I have 2 that did this recently and needed replacment fans so purchased this to replace them. These are a direct fit for any 120mm bolt pattern. The casing is metal while the blades are plastic and the included fan guards are a nice touch as well. My old fans were tapped/threaded with Philips screws which did make changing the fan easier. However these fans are not – it is a Philips head nut and bolt through the entire fan chassis. Not a big deal if you can get your hands on both sides of the fan easily. In my case, a 48 port network switch made this a challenge.Moves plenty of air for a smaller 12U network rack. Does not seem too noisy either, given there are some network switches, NVRs, and other equipment with fans much noisier than this. This is wired with a 2-position spring retention quick connector which although cheap gets the job done. What I did is zip tied it to some of the ground screw holes on the fan to make sure it does not fall loose or get snagged on other wires in the future. Power cord includes a rocker switch (not using), but is not the greatest. Be careful with the wiring insulation on the power cord wires – it is not good quality and could be damaged if tugged on too much.I’d buy these again if I have any more fan failures in network racks. I can easily workaround the small flaws to make these work as needed.

Good Fan – Adaptable
I purchased this to see if I could use it to replace a fan in a bathroom exhaust. I didn’t want to just replace the fan and motor with a bathroom exhaust kit as they are too noisy, and didn’t want to tear up the ceiling to replace the whole thing. Took a little work but was able to use this fan. I would note that the wiring on it is very small gauge, maybe 22 and is too small. It is more quiet than the fan it replaced, and allegedly more CFM. I do however cast some doubt on the accuracy of this putting out 116 CFM. It is adequate for my use.

Definitely not worth the price
This fan fell far below expectations. The build quality feels flimsy, and it barely moves enough air for effective cooling or ventilation making it impractical for most DIY projects. Definitely not worth the price—look elsewhere for a more reliable solution.

I have a corny use for it
When they built my house (I purchased used) it was too expensive to vent the microwave vent outside. I got tired of the condensation dripping off the MW back onto my food. I purchased this and made a simple bracket that blows the steam away from the stove. Works great and another plus, I was cooking pasta and not once did the water foam up and over onto the stove

I used it for a very old dehumidifier,I had replaced the fan in the unit many years ago, this one was the same size and the same specs as my old one,it fit perfectly and it is a lot quieter than the one I replaced it with,a good deal for the price.

Just got these today, and I have to say I am impressed with their airflow volume and noise level. I expected them to be louder than my 120×25 fans but they really aren’t, while at the same time putting out over twice the cfm. Good fans! They also come with mounting screws, guards, wires and connectors for anyone wondering. I actually like that they come unwired, so I can wire them into groups and use less plugs.

Bought for an old dehumidifier, and worked well…..for one year, then quit, 50000 hours = 2000 days, or 6 years. And not used in the winter. Now I’m trying oiling it, still rattles but at least it runs. But for how long? Hopefully long enough for the rest of this summer. But have to look for something better for next year :(((
