Asurion updated me regularly on the status of my order. When they were unable to fix it they were quick to offer me a refund. It only took six days.

Video recorder started malfunctioning
I use Video converters for my legal video jobs and was glad to be able to get a replacement from Asurion when it started to malfunction. Great value for your buck. Now I don’t need to buy a whole new recorder.

Poor Customer Service
I purchased a printer which came with a 3 year warranty but I decided to add this protection plan to cover all issues. Apparently they email you the plan which I waited for but never came. I asked for a replacement since I had not received the original but received NO correspondence nor did I ever receive a replacement. Even when I asked for a refund, I told them if they could solve it, I would still take it but still no word from them. If I have to struggle this hard just to get it, I can’t imagine how hard it would be to file a claim.

Plan saved Over $300
The ASURION 3 Year Office Equipment Protection Plan ($300 – $349.99) I purchased at the same time as I bought a Brother multi-purpose printer from Amazon. The box showed damage when UPS delivered it. Upon unboxing, I found the display screen on the printer had been cracked. I contacted Asurion about it and they had me re-box it and ship it to their repair service (shipping was pre-paid) by UPS. Within a week of their receipt, they notified me that it couldn’t be repaired, and they refunded me the full purchase price on an Amazon Gift Care. I almost never buy the extended warranty on any purchases but decided to do it this time and it kept me from losing $349+tax. I will consider buying the protection plan again on electronics.

Hard to review an item like this since it is only used if something goes wrong with the purchase. Based on a single use the process seems straight-forward. Why not five stars?l Because (unless I am missing something) the email warranty confirmation does not explicitly state what the plan is for. To me, it should state the item and the model number.

The best coverage.
This Asurion Protection Plan was for a computer monitor bought a year. There was some burnout on the screen showing up from the previous screen. I only needed to send a picture of the issue and Asurion requested I return the monitor for a full refund. I appreciate the excellent customer service and the fact they stand behind their product.

Ease of Handling Claim
Filed Claim through Asurion. They emailed the necessary paperwork and shipping label for the return of the product for repair. Dropped off at UPS, once Asurion received, was notified of receiving same and their next step for repair. After their inspection of the product involved, they notified me that it could not be repaired, and credited my Amazon account for the original purchase price. They were very prompt, and professional throughout the process. Highly recommend purchasing the Asurion warranty.
