Fits and works great
Purchased as a replacement for our stove. Easy to install and works great. Saved us hundreds versus calling a repair company. Anybody with a screwdriver who can get down on the floor and in/out of their oven area should be able to easily install this.

Easy and Works Great
My mother-in-law called me the other day because her lower oven element on her Whirlpool stove had gone out. I am her own personal handyman and Mr Fix it for EVERYTHING. I of course was not familiar with how to fix this and nearly called a repairman to help her. Instead I went and inspected the oven. The lower element was indeed not working.I turned off the breaker to assure no power and found it was only two small screws that hold it in, well that was easy. Give the element a light tug and whola, it is out and the new one ready to go in. Of course I now had to order this piece still, and that is where my good (maybe best) friend Amazon came into play.On a side note, I did something fairly dangerous that most people may not want to try. I actually tested the voltage of the oven to assure it was just a bad element and not a bad oven. I DO NOT recommend you try this unless you are very familiar with voltage meters and electricity. After I confirmed it was the element I placed my order and two days later the element came and I slid the new one back in the slot the old one was removed from. Then I placed the two little screws back. At this point, having never repaired a stove element before, I said a little prayer that I had done it right. I went to the basement and flipped the breaker back on and went back to the stove to give it a go. Turned the oven on and we had success, the element turned on and glowed bright orange as it should. We then tested the heat to assure it was accurate and it was indeed spot on. Now I have to add my mother-in-law caters and uses her oven all the time. So between my mad skills (that I had no idea I had) and a gigantic help from my friend Amazon, I was a hero!

GEnuine parts! Work like a charm.
My wife told me the other day that the lower oven on my Amana range would only heat to 200 deg and was not cooking properly. After inspection, the lower element was not heating (At all?) and I killed the power and undid the 2 screws that hold it in. If you pull out the element the connections are readily visible. If you don’t know what you are doing, you could easily kill yourself with the next step but I will tell you anyway. With the element laying on the bottom of the oven and the connectors pulled clear of the rear of the oven, I turned the power back on, and checked the voltage (using an AC digital multi-meter) across the 2 connectors and it was 0V. I set the oven to 350F and the voltage went to 240V but the element did not heat. Diagnoses, open circuit inside the element. I killed the power and put it all back together again, ordered the part from Amazon. Two days later it came and I swapped the new for the old using the above process again (they are 1/4″ blade push on connectors) and bang, a bright red heating element and 500 F no problem, All ready for turkey day. As I said before, those exposed contacts in the back are high voltage with no real current limiting. If you grab them and are well grounded, you are gonna really be unhappy and possibly dead. If you let them touch the metal in the back of the oven while energized, you better be wearing a welding helmet.

Perfect
Authentic part. Easy install for a quick fix much cheaper than a regular service.

The entire element doesn’t heat up, that’s okay.
I bought one, plugged it in and the part of the element towards the rear of the oven (parallel to the back wall) didn’t heat up (glow) like the rest of it. I assumed all parts inside the oven area would heat. Prepared to return it and got another from a local appliance store mentioning what I experienced. “That’s how they work” I was told. You can’t see any type of change in the element construction, color or anything in the area that goes from heating to non-heating.So, don’t fret! They work fine and now I have a spare for that cooking emergency we all want to be prepared for.

Perfect fit easy to install
Exactly what I needed to fix my 18 year old oven. The oven, of course, had to melt the coil down on Thanksgiving day in the middle of cooking my turkey. After carting it down to a neighbors house to finish cooking, I ordered this new coil. Two days later it arrived, and I got it installed pretty quickly. Moments later, my oven was functional once again.

Excellent factory original replacement part for oven
This is a factory original part available from Amazon quickly and at a much better price than retail outlets and even appliance parts wholesalers. It was able to get the part quickly and fix my own oven inexpensively.
