Best Projector for the price
Recently, I purchased this NexiGo PJ40 projector for my Media room. Amazon delivered it bit late, but the NexiGo PJ40 LCD Protector exceeded my expectations. My Media room is about 20 by 25 feet and the projection quality and the distance it covered is awesome. Picture quality is exceptionally good. Unbelievable 4K uplift quality. Extremely pleased with easy setup. It took me 10 to 15 mins for end-to-end setup. I had 140-inch white screen that I bought on Amazon and I connected my Sony home theater system to NexiGo via HDMI cable. The integration is very seamless.Initially it took some time for focus and after that, no blurriness or any edge crapping. It came with 2 HEMI ports. That is really helpful for me. This projector also comes with old RCA Video, Audio cable. This is helpful for projecting my old VCR player which I use very rarely. When Projecting from my VCR I do see the picture quality is crisp and clear. My friend had Epson projector, but when compared the picture quality, we both felt that this NexiGo projector is the best. The Home/Menu screen is easy to understand and straight forward for setup on the screen. The Unit already had Network port, but I connected using Wi-Fi. I don’t see any challenges with setup.I tried connecting this with my Laptop and I was amazed by the picture-perfect quality of my laptop screen. This is very useful for my presentations. I also tried this projector with Chromecast directly connected using HDMI. Both Picture ( 16:9) and the sound quality is exceptionally good. This projector is very light weight, and anyone can use at home in Media theaters or can use it for any business presentations. I did not notice any lag in projection while connected through HDMI. For Media theaters you need to think on the distance between the projector and the screen and the size of the room. The 2 USB connections come in handy by connecting USB flash drives for quick photos, videos or any presentations.Overall, I would say that I am extremely happy with the PJ40 gen 3 for its price point and highly recommend it.For the price, this is a fantastic buy. While it may not compete with high-end, expensive projectors, it offers great value with an impressive range of features. Everything seems to be designed with versatility in mind, making it suitable for a variety of uses. The ability to adjust the screen image is a nice touch. A tip for projector beginners: testing was done with movies ranging from analog to 4K, and both provided solid picture quality. The only downside isn’t a flaw of the projector itself but rather a result of enlarging an analog movie. Older films simply don’t have enough pixels to look as crisp when stretched to larger sizes, so they can appear pixelated at times.

Great quality on a budget
This is my first experience with a projector outside of a professional setting, and I am pleasantly impressed with the quality of the PJ40 Gen 3 in both the construction, as well as the picture quality and sound quality. The projector was very well packaged and easy to setup, with very easy to follow, as well as extensively detailed, instructions. I was able to get it setup in running in a matter of minutes just projecting onto a wall as a quick test run. Connecting to Wi-Fi was straight forward, and already going through an update, while not the fastest, was easy as well. The interface seems easy to navigate, and fairly responsive. I am impressed with how bright and accurate the colors looked, even in comparison to projects worth many times more, while just projecting on a random wall. The physical and digital keystone adjustments were very easy to get setup, and once focused, the image (while only 1080p through HDMI currently, possibly changing with a future update though) was impressive and definitely seems to rival that of even some 4k tv’s in terms of color vibrance and accuracy. The audio quality is surprisingly good from the built-in speakers, and after some eq tuning, have a decent amount of fullness and not lacking in mid/bass tones that most built-in speakers do. I would not say that they would be the replacement of some dedicated sound equipment such as a quality soundbar or receiver and speakers, but definitely are perfectly fine for a mobile gaming/movie setup. The construction of the projector seems very solid and seems to be made of quality materials and well put together. Overall, I would say that I am very happy with the PJ40 gen 3 for its price point.

Vibrant Image, Easy to Use
I love it when things work right out of the box – and this projector does exactly that. I was up and watching my projector in under 5 minutes. Just plugged in the power cord, plugged in my fire stick to one of the hdmi ports on the back, and then focused the image with the focus ring. It was a straightforward, no-nonsense experience with no technical issues. And the focus ring and legs made for quick adjustment (note, the legs are meant for leveling, not for orienting your projector more than a about 10 degrees up or down). The picture quality actually exceeded my expectations. There was no blurriness or any warping that I found distracting or detracted from the experience of having a large, vibrant projection in front of me. Colors were rich and vibrant despite me having very thin curtains that let in plenty of light (see the video I attached). A lot of projectors are unwatchable unless the room is extremely dark. I was surprised to find this projector was watchable during the day indoors – sure, the image was somewhat faded with so much light but this was still a very impressive performance.Note, I was not using any special surface – just beamed it right at my wall. This means I could see the wall’s texture if I scrutinized the image, but this would be the case with any projector in the world. At night or in a dark room the vibrancy of the image is truly terrific in my opinion. So this would work great indoors or for an outdoors movie night against the garage door or a wall. The heat and fan sound is not distracting unless you have your head directly next to the projector but this should never be the case. The projector should be behind or above you. A projector stand would be a wise investment if you don’t have a place for your projector. There are more silent projectors on the market but they cost a lot more. There are also ultra-short-throw projectors that you can position directly in front of the wall but those cost a lot more. You are not paying for the best projector on the market which would cost you several thousands. You are not paying for a high-end sound system. You are paying for a large, vibrant projection that doesn’t break the bank – and with that in mind, I think most people will find the projector provides a very cool and impressive experiencce.

I live in a small studio so don’t have much space and this projector fits perfectly! I use it on the smallest ratio I can so the colors are crisp (it’s still relatively big). It doesn’t overheat, but you might want to get a pair of external speakers…the fan is pretty loud on maximum settings

Elproyector es super simple de usar, tiene muy buena resolución y brillo, lo unico que siento algo lento es el control remoto, es decir, aveces no responde a la primera, quiza porque lo instale en el techo y estoy justo debajo de el.

After a lot of research bought this one! And i must say I am happy!Pros -1. Bright and crystal sharp. I am projecting to a wall and still gives good resolution and sharp image. Feels like watching a movie in theatre.2. In 10 days i got a clean the fan filter message, and when i took the filter out, there indeed was some dust. So it has some good self maintenance monitoring built in. Liked that!3. For me airdrop connectivity was essential, and this one has a dedicated airdrop connectivity. Very stable. You don’t get disconnected in between.4. Most importantly, the fan noise is almost ignorable! There is also an option to reduce the fan noise by letting go a bit of brightness. I have kept the fan noise at 50%, yet I am able to see the image conveniently during moderately lit times and even with 50% brightness, it’s super bright at night. So no compliants!Cons1. Speakers — aargh!! Why why why? Why so bad? It’s like the teeny laptop speakers u had back in 2000’s (remember?). Given the considerable big size of the projector, i thought the speakers are gonna be good. But yea, my bad! I had to buy a sound bar to make the audio audible!2. There is no smart tv in this. Its just a projector with hdmi input. It works for me coz i use my google chromecast and it works well. The remote control out of the box starts working with google chromecast. So you dont need to use two remotes. On the flip side, if u want to use chromecast remote (the cute white one) to control the projector (power on/off) it dosent work! Also noticed that after some time, there is a sluggishness in the remote operation. I have to restart the projector to get back the smooth remote operation.3. The auto keystone just doesn’t work. Manual works though. Had to spend some time to get the image straight.4. The lens cover is detachable. If it had a way of being attached, it wud have been easier to put it back when not in use. Now that its detachable, it goes and sits in my drawer and i never use it. It’s a tiny UX thing though!Overall 4/5! And mostly for the brightness and picture clarity!

A conseiller

Curtains open and ceiling lights on I can watch this thing and see everything in the daytime.Want a quiet fan noise at night when watching movies? You can turn the fan noise down in return for losing some luminance, actually not that much luminance sacrificed though. Was told it’ll only read 1TB hard drive but reads my 2TB external hard drive full with all my shows and movies (must format your drive as “fat32”, not exfat or ntfc. I used aomei partition software to do this)The on screen brightness, saturation, hue, colour temperature, contrast and sharpness are really useful to adjust to taste.Adjust the bass and treble of the built in speaker, actually pretty decentb and goes pretty loud, I just use the aux cable for big speakers during movie nights. The built in USB sockets actually give decent power too, so you can power an Amazon fire stick right from the projector, no wall plug needed. The focus wheel is nice and accurate and focus is great.Buttons on the remote have a nice feel to them, small but nice detail. The company actually is good to communicate with, replied quick to my email about what size mounting screws it uses (M5).
