DJI Osmo Mobile 3 – 3-Axis Smartphone Gimbal

I’m very pleased with the quality and functionality of the Osmo 3, and its software.Expect a little learning curve of the stabilizer and the software, and get some hours of practice making stabilized videos.The best thing is, your pictures and videos are always LEVEL! No “rocking boat” effect like you get with those “Merlin”-style mechanical balance stabilizers. I built several of those, and active stabilization is just MUCH better, and worth the cost.The roll axis (horizon) just stays level. The tilt and pan axes smoothly follow your movements, with about a 15 degree “lag” behind your movement. This lag is how you guide it around without shaking it.Don’t expect to make perfect “flying” videos while walking — it stabilizes the angles, but not not the position of the camera (like any hand-held stabilizer); so as you walk along, objects in the near-field hop and wiggle a little bit, while the far-field stays still in the frame.I’m using it with a Galaxy S9+, a big phone with a great camera. You DO need to remove the phone case, even a thin one.Balancing is easy; just hold it by the upper arm and slide the phone in the clamp until it doesn’t tilt (with the Osmo off).You DO need the app; the Osmo comes to life after turned on AND paired with the app.At first I used the QR code on the box to download the app from DJI. It didn’t work! I uninstalled it and downloaded it from Play Store and it worked fine.The app easy to use; just poke around in the menus & settings, like any app, to see what all it does.The handle has 2 buttons, a 4-way slider, a zoom slider, and a trigger. I found it hard to remember what 1,2,3 presses does, so you do need to use it a good while to memorize the button/trigger functions.Don’t expect all features to work with all phones. For example, on my S9+ it will not do slow-mo, but will do hyper-lapse. And the zoom is jerky, not smooth, with the zoom slide switch.Be sure to get a little 3-wing table-top tripod for it; you can’t set it down without one.Battery life is fine; last a lot longer than you’ll want to carry it around making videos.Overall, this picky techie is very pleased with it, and recommends it if you want a best-in-class phone gimbal, from a well-trusted brand. I hade the 2th generation, this one is the more lower weight and accessible.

Ci sono vari gimball qui su amazon con vari prezzi e sicuramente quelli della Dji non sono i più economici ma ho acquistato questo prodotto proprio perchè la marca mi dava molta fiducia e sono molto felice di averlo acquistato.Fra le varie versioni di questo gimball (ora siamo arrivati alla versione 5) ho scelto di prendere l’osmo mobile 3 perchè era comunque quello più economico e prendendolo da amazon warehouse ho risparmiato ancora di più, ma anche se usato l’oggetto mi è arrivato in condizioni perfette pari al nuovo.La differenza tra questa versione (la 3) e le versione più recenti di questo gimball è l’aggancio con cui si attacca lo smartphone al gimball, in questa versione lo stabilizzatore ha un normale aggancio con le due alette a molla che si aprono e una volta chiuse tengono ben saldo il telefono.Il gimball è stato ideato molto bene e da chiuso è veramente molto compatto e nonostante non pesi pochissimo (ma è normale visto i motorini interni che ha per fare il suo lavoro) è molto facile da trasportare e riporre in uno zaino o valigia perché occupa pochissimo spazio.La configurazione (si connette al telefono tramite bluetooth) è molto veloce e abbastanza intuitiva e da qui si capisce il valore aggiunto che Dji ha quando si tratta di questi prodotti: per far funzionare al meglio questo stabilizzatore bisogna scaricare l’app Dji Mimo (gratis sia su apple che su Android) e procedere con la configurazione all’interno dell’app. L’applicazione è fatta veramente molto bene, presenta un sacco di tutorial e di guide, sia per i principianti che per i più esperti, che ti aiutano a sfruttare al meglio il gimbal, in più ovviamente c’è tutta la sezione dedicata ai settaggi video con cui puoi interagire direttamente dal joistick del gimball e cambiare tutti i parametri di ripresa e scegliere con quale modalità il gimball deve stabilizzare il video.L’app all’interno ha anche un editor video molto buono con cui si possono editare velocemente i video appena creati e ti offre anche un sacco di preset per montare video ancora più velocemente.Un’altro aspetto ottimo è che la prese usb c presente sul lato, serve sia a ricaricare il gimbal, collegandolo ad una normale presa a muro, ma permette anche di usare lo stabilizzatore come power bank, infatti usando il cavo apposta si può connette lo smartphone al gimball e quest’ultimo ricaricherà il telefono mentre registrate i video.Se volete risparmiare un pò rispetto agli ultimi stabilizzatori che dji ha presentato questo è sicuramente un un valido acquisto che ti permette di girare ottimi video stabilizzati con in più il supporto dell’app Dji fatta molto bene che aiuta sia nei settaggi che con i tutorial.

Çok güzel bir Gimbal, telefona yüklenen uygulaması ve diğer başka destekleyen uygulamalar ile birlikte harika çalışan müthiş bir cihaz, tripod üzerinde değişik modlarda çektiği fotoğraflar inanılmaz güzeller, yani o fotoğrafları ancak çok farklı objektiflerle ancak bu işlere gönül vermiş fotoğrafçılar çekebilir, fakat DJI OM3 sayesinde şaşkınlık yaratacak düzeyde çok farklı fotoğraf modları var, ben müthiş beğendim, hayatı anlamlandırmak ve hatıraları kayda geçirip etrafımız ve bizden sonrakilere güzel görüntürler bırakabilmek için olması gereken bir donanım diye düşünüyorum.
