Just replaced heating element on a 13 yr. old LG dishwasher. I’m a senior female and had a guy friend help install. Watched a YouTube video to learn how to replace and it was a fairly easy replacement. The part cost around $65 which beats paying a $200-300 service call or having to buy a new dishwasher. Didn’t consider buying an off brand universal element from experience. Worked perfectly.

My dishwasher steam was not nearly as hot at the end of each wash. The dishes were drying a streaky white, so I took a look online for possible solutions. Apparently, a heating element is a popular dishwasher problem. This was an fairly easy fix for a DIY-er, and I am very happy LG parts are available to replace. The dishwasher is about 7-8 years old and I can still repair it myself, saving $100’s. I have seen a lot of complaints about LG in other reviews for this part. The dishwasher is cleaning dishes again!The part fit perfect without any issues and everything has gone back to normal.
