    Great product. Highly recoomend.
This stove accessory does exactly what its supposed to in protecting the glass of our stove top. Plus it looks nice, and is easy to clean. While I wish a product like this cost less than it does, this does not take away form the top quality of this product. I give it 5 stars. However, be sure not to leave an empty pot on top of it with the burner on, as this will damage it,

    Attractive induction glass top protector
When our cooktop center element needed to be repaired at a cost of over $700.00 I decided to try and determine why the electronics failed. When I removed the top I noticed the two burner areas that are most often used were discolored amber. I reasoned that the heat build up may have prematurely damaged the circuitry when using cast iron cookware. I am pleased with these pads. They are attractive enough to leave on the cooktop when not in use. They work well at reducing the radiant heat emanating from the cast iron cookware. They are super easy to clean. And, as they advertise, the pads are anti-slip and will protect the glass from scratches. I haven’t found scratching to be an issue with our cooktop and it wasn’t a consideration in my purchase.

Prevented induction on new GE cooktop, this worthless
EDITED REVIEW: Turns out induction cooktops (mine at least) locate the burner sensors in the center of the burner area. This fact matters because most induction-capable cookware sets place a non-magnetic area in the center of the pan’s induction plate, almost always a disk with the maker’s brand logo stamped upon it. What this does is weaken the cooktop’s ability to detect the magnetic pan placed on the burner. The result has been to make cookware unreliable and unable to connect consistently, especially when these silicon pads are used, adding a little more distance between pan and sensor. HOWEVER, when I use iron cookware or cookware like Green Pan and some few others that don’t put a non-magnetic aluminum logo in their pan centers, the connection is strong and these silicone pads work very well. These look okay and seem durable. However, they appear to be too thick. My new GE induction cooktop did not work with this pad under the pan. Once I removed it and placed the pan directly on the glass, everything works fine.

    Works as expected. Sturdy product!
I’ve used this on a Nuwave portable induction cooktop using cast-iron, enamel cast-iron and carbon steel pans and it worked very nicely. I also used it with an induction plate and had no issues. I was concerned the extra distance from the thickness of the mat between the pan and the induction coil might cause the pans to heat up less quickly or efficiently. But that does not seem to be the case. The mat is sturdy and very easy to clean and dry. Often times, I just need to wipe it with a sponge. Very pleased with this product and would it order again.

Not recommended: Protects the cooktop but nearly doubles cooking time
Summary: expensive waste of money. Yes it will stop a pan from scratching the cooktop, but it also doubles the cooking time because the thickness of the mat weakens the magnetic field. Kind of defeats one of the primary benefits of induction. Wasted $90 on a set of four of these.+1 star for protecting the cooktop. The product does that job quite nicely and the pan doesn’t slide around when stirring something.-4 stars for fact that it drastically cuts the heat output of an induction cooktop. It is too thick and the magnetic field is not as strong as when the pan is sitting directly on the cooktop. You can tell by the sound of the induction cooktop and the fact that when turning heat to Turbo mode, nothing much happens. Where I used to cook on a setting of 5-6, I now have to go to 9 or H. Where previously I couldn’t use Turbo mode unless I was boiling water because everything would burn in less than 20-30 seconds, I have frequently used Turbo mode to cook the whole meal because it doesn’t get hot enough to burn.I have timed this multiple times to make sure I was not imagining this. My test method: Turbo mode (highest setting on my induction range), Le Creuset teapot, 2 cups of 60 degree water heated to full boil as indicated by whistle going off. Cool teapot to room temperature and repeat. Average of 5 tests without mat in place was 1 min 18 secs. Average of 5 tests with mat in place was 2 min 47 secs.I have tested this with cast iron, an expensive Viking cookware set, and a nice blue steel Rosle pan that is my most magnetic and easily heated pan. All take double or longer time to achieve the same results as using no mat or a paper towel.

    Appears Well-Made!
Bought this induction range protector to prevent scratches on our new range’s glass top. This product is ONLY repeat ONLY for induction cooktops, NOT for electric glass top radiant ranges. If you try using this on a conventional radiant burner, it will be destroyed. That said, I tested this mat to boil a pot of water and then another pot of water with no mat. I could not detect any difference in the time to boil water. I have used the mat to sauté vegetables and brown meat with excellent results.

    Excellent design and usefulness
We place them under our pans on our induction cooktop. It protects the glass and keeps it looking new. She slips them under a hot pan to protect countertop. As a bonus they are easy to clean and attractive design.

Mostly good experience for the first few years
2020 Review: So I have an induction oven and I don’t want the glass to be scratched to heck… so this is a rare, good solution. The item has a good concept, but I don’t know if it’s the nature of the beast or what, but it can’t get too hot… one time it sparked and almost got too hot (maybe caught on fire!?!)… so I watch it when I use high heat. Otherwise, I love the idea of it and I bought extras for when the first set get worn out. There aren’t many other ideas for protecting glass induction ovens, so I am happy with this item!2025 Update: So, this item blackened and didn’t look good quickly, but it seemed to work for many years. Then, about five years later, this item caught on fire. I do Not understand why or how, but I am guessing it got worn down and is no longer safe. Thank goodness I was there to see it and stop it. I am not happy about how things ended. Not sure if I will buy again or search for an alternative.

Pretty decent build. Gap might be a bit tall as the cooking heat strength decreased a little. Protects the glass wonderfully.

This is by far the best mat I have bought for my induction hob. It was expensive but since I have had to throw the others away because they have perished I hope this will last a lot longer. I shall be buying more very soon

No recomiendo este producto! Se quema y puede generar un serio daño a una parrilla de inducción y quizás hasta provocar un incendio. Afortunadamente en mi caso no pasó a mayores y el vendedor me reembolsó la compra.
