This book is laid out very well with goo photos, and good text instruction and chart introduction,
Just received this book yesterday. I love it! I like the way it is organized. Photos of the stitch above, steps in text below, and how it is diagramed with the symbols, or whatever you call it when a pattern just uses symbols for stitches, not text telling you what to do. You get used to both.I am learning my third stitch. This is better than YouTube. Actually, I learned a better way to do purl from this book. A YouTube video I watched before I got this book made it more difficult than it was. The YouTuber really was clunky with the hook. Book was much better.I did take it in to Staples today and had a spiral, not comb – actual spiral, spine put on it, spiralized. I had them add a clear plastic cover in the front and a solid black plastic to protect the back. I can now open it flat, and if I need the table space, I can fold the half I do not need to see, behind. Much better. It was really inexpensive to have this done.

A Plethora of Well Written and Depicted Tunisian Stitches for ALL Levels of Experience
A fantastic and thorough collection of Tunisian crochet stitches. The written instructions are well done. The large photos accurately represented the finished product. However, the small photos depicting the specific action required to create the stitch were occasionally iffy. The photos using dark red yarn were sometimes too dark to make out what was going on. Fortunately, the graphs accompanying each stitch were helpful – particularly in this case.I’d highly recommend this book to all Tunisian crocheters; behinning, intermediate, or advanced. It’s hard to find such a well written thorough book of Tunisian stitches. One aspect I particularly liked, was the grouping of similar types of stitches. For example, cables, fans and shells, bubbles and clusters, lace, waves, and relief stitches. Of course it starts with the necessary basic stitches. There are some wonderful embellushment and edging stitches too.

    Perfect!!! Excellent!
This book is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It has a FULL explanation of all 150 stitches including instructions and the chart. In another comment, I read that the book included a few patterns. It does not have any patterns. But you can find plenty of patterns online. This is a great reference.

    Glad I have this!
The first crochet project I did, in college, was a Tunisian blanket. I really like Tunisian crochet, it is easy and it looks beautiful. Now my options have really opened up, with a dictionary of different stitches. I am very happy I took the advice of a veteren crocheter and got this dictionary.

First off …. I first learned about Tunisian Crochet just over five years ago; I fell in love with it; and haven’t looked back. I’m thinking that many more crafters are also falling in love with Tunisian Crochet …. because information about the craft, while sparse when I was first learning, is so much easier to find now-a-days. (And yes, as recently as five years ago, Tunisian Crochet learning resources and tools were much scarcer than today.)This Dictionary of 150 Tunisian Crochet Stitches is a terrific addition to any crafter’s library. If, what you are looking for is a Tunisian Crochet Stitch Dictionary.A complete beginner just learning Tunisian crochet might want to check out a book written specifically for beginners. This stitch dictionary does review some of the basics, but those tidbits are not placed front and centre … and are not the focus of this book.Anyways, this stitch dictionary is full of colour photos, charts and written instructions for each and every stitch and stitch pattern presented. One Amazon reviewer lamented the absence of photos showing the ‘wrong’ side of the swatches. I think I can explain why it might have been left out. Regular Tunisian crocheted fabrics are generally one sided (i.e., the front facing side carries the design (or stitch definition). The other side, while presentable, is definitely the wrong side and looks pretty much the same for almost all stitches and stitch patterns (sort of a knobby ribbed effect – plain looking, but not unsightly). There are a few exceptions: For example the “Knit Stitch, back to front, purled” alternating across the row with the “Knit Stitch” will produce a double sided ribbed fabric. This is anomalous and not covered in this stitch dictionary. That said, you can produce a reversible fabric in Tunisian Crochet, using a double ended Tunisian crochet hook and an additional Tunisian Crochet technique …. sometimes called Crohooking. Tunisian Crochet in the Round is another technique you can do using a double ended Tunisian Crochet hook.To my mind it is impossible to capture the plethora of Tunisian Crochet techniques into one stitch dictionary. Likewise no one stitch dictionary will ever capture the countless ways in which you can create stitches. This Tunisian Crochet Stitch Dictionary of 150 essential stitches comes close. Ergo, my five star rating stands.

This is a lovely book. The text is clear and easy to understand. The pictures are brilliant and give clear samples of each stitch as well as clear guidance for different stitches. It includes stitches for every user and guidance on drape of the finished fabric for many of them and the users for the fabric.Highly recommended
