The speed settings and programming makes it super convenient. It blends till smooth with less power consumption and with little or noise. Very easy to clean and maintain as long as you follow instruction’s and this is a product buy once and use for years to come.

Incredible, Versatile, Wonderfully Powerful!!
The uses for this blender are endless! The power is clearly on a commercial level. Solid and smooth!Here, I made a smooth potato soup, from start to finish in the blender. I accidently overfilled it, so I ran the soup mode 1 1/2 times. Then I blended the cooked potatoes until smooth. The blender is absolutely powerful. No question about blending ability…no lumps, no second pass through! The soup was velvety smooth and delicious. Hot, right out of the blender.By the time I got to the clean-up, the potato coating was already drying on. It was a mess. I filled water to the auto cleaning line (indicated in the instructions) and hit Auto-clean. It heats to hot and pulsates until clean. The blender feels sanitized from the hot-wash. Just look at it; in only 2 minutes, it looks amazing. I did no extra clean up to the finished pic. Just pour out the dirty water and rinse. Be extra careful not to get the bottom of the glass wet.I also tested the smoothie and milkshake modes. Again, no lumps and smooth as silk. Delicious! In the blending mode, the speed actually accelerates at the finish. The chocolate shake was better than commercial made, light and fluffy!I am not a fan of Celsius vs Fahrenheit (I didn’t see an option to change it), but I can figure it out. The plug is as heavy duty as the blender.Regrettably, the instructions for this complex machine is woefully short of instruction. I felt like I was winging it for much of what I was doing. It would also be nice if they threw in a few recipes as I’ve never used a blender to cook anything in my life…although the potato soup was a success!Overall, I would say this blender is fantastic and worth every penny! I can’t wait to create some new tastes and experiment with frozen cocktails. I haven’t even scraped the surface of the functions available on this blender. Very highly recommend!!

Powerful blender with good programs and heat
I’ve used it for a few quick things, but last night I made Tomato soup from scratch, almost entirely in this blender! Other than roasting the tomatoes first in the oven, and sauteing some onion in a pan, all the cold ingredients went into the blender set on “Soup”. This setting simmered the ingredients at 100c with just some small movements of the blades to keep it stirred up. After simmering for 20 minutes, I set it on “Puree” and it did a fantastic job of creating the correct consistency in just 1 program. Then I added the fresh basil leaves and pulsed it a few times to grind those up.I served it direct from the blender container into the bowls, and the remaining soup stayed in the blender with the “Keep Warm” setting for anyone who wanted seconds.When dinner was done, I rinsed out the container, filled it about half way with water, placed it back on the base and used the “Auto Clean” setting. This first made the water nice and hot, then ran a 2 minute program to vigorously use that water to clean up the inside of the container. It worked extremely well, and other than just having to wipe the edge of the container where some soup dribbled outside while I was pouring, it was ready to put away.Some of the things I really like about this blender: It looks good on the countertop. It’s very powerful. It comes with accessories such as a steam basket, for more than ordinary blender tasks. It heats up contents extremely fast, it gets much hotter than I originally thought it would be capable off.

Substantial, Sturdy, Heating and Cleaning
I’ve owned an Oster blender since college days. It never occurred to me that there would be a day a blender could heat and clean itself. This Astralship blender size surprised me and how stable and sturdy it is compared to my old one. This feels so high tech and space age quality.The speed and blade sharpness make the blending so fast. I have blended hot things in my old blender, but that involved heating first: this Astralship blender let’s me skip this step. I make a sweet potato soup that this makes it so much easier. The Astralship will reduce 3 steps by just putting into the blender and will keep the soup warm until I served.There are many presets to use and I have not used all of them. Making tea is a joyful discovery. The steamer basket is an interesting addition I would not have thought possible. I had looked at other blenders in the past, but they were plastic blender jars and I wanted glass like the one I owned

Solid and powerful
This is a great blender. There are plenty of options for how it blends, and that means you will be able to use it for many of your kitchen needs.I particularly like the glass pitcher. I have a blender with a plastic one, but am always a bit concerned that as it ages I’ll end up harboring something nasty.Having a built in heating element is both great and my one drawback. Why? I love that I can blend a sauce or soup and let it sit a little while as I finish up another task in the kitchen, but it will also make it more difficult and expensive if and when I need to replace it. That said, I am pretty sure the carafe on my mom’s old 1970s Oster is the original, so it is really just me being overly cautious.This is great. So far I’ve used it for smoothies, to make a pesto, and blend a sauce (with the heater!). I look forward to it being in my kitchen for a long time to come.
