Great Design! Looks & Function
A beautifully made sturdy small fridge. Arrived safely packaged and started right up, Outside is just an eye popper with solid paint and chrome. Handles easily attached and are solidly on, unlike on several new full size fridges I’ve had. Took a few minutes to figure out how to insert the evaporator tray which was loose- it slides in at the top of the compressor section on the back- I guess I may have to empty or clean it periodically. The finish and thickness of the outside make me confident this guy is not going to rust out- like those large fridges did on the outside. The inside is so well designed, with very useful and flexible sturdy door shelves that easily snap in and out for spacing or cleaning. My wine bottle fit right in! The interior shelf area is also flexible, and spacious enough to keep a variety of items. Shelves are glass. As noted in other reviews, the veg drawer is small, but there’s room for my 3 tomatoes with plenty left over(yes chilling tomatoes is a family preference). The freezer holds a nice amount too, 2 half gallon ice creams would fit with room for more, again with a nice door shelf. Having a separate freezer compartment is a plus to keep freezing steady. The fridge fully cooled -empty- in 2 hours. The freezer is not frost-free. I think this is consistent for the little fridges. Once I turned down the setting and put food in, the frost diminished. I may have just frozen the humid air in it originally- it was a humid day. I think I can just take a dish towel to it as a maintenance, or as suggested I could turn off the fridge for a while and wipe. We used to have to defrost fridges in the olden days! This little one only has a single temp control though, so I would have to be careful not to let the fridge section get too warm while I’m defrosting. I used to put a bowl of hot water in the freezer to quicken the process- and never use knives or hammers to clear frost! You only pierce the freon once to learn that lesson!. otherwise just a delightful addition to my den. I put it up on a sturdy little table so I can reach everything easily and then I get storage underneath. Sooo happy with this purchase!!

I love my little fridge!
Our old, huge refrigerator/freezer combo has been struggling for years. This year, I thought that it had finally decided to die. While it fooled me, in the meantime, I came here to Amazon and bought two more refrigerators. This adorable Galanz fridge, retro and lovely in mint green, was the first to arrive. (The second, another small fridge, is due Tuesday.) I had come to the conclusion that I did not need such a huge unit in the kitchen and, even though my husband and mother both seemed dubious as to the merits of my decision, my judgment at buying “dorm refrigerators” has so far proved victorious. This Galanz fridge not only looks great and has a small footprint, but when full it keeps things almost frosty at the highest setting (the tiny freezer is absolutely frigid!). My raw milk has not clabbered since living inside of it. I am not the type of person who always has canned drinks on hand so the delineated spaces for such things, I have discovered to conveniently hold such items as loose apples. Two cartons of a dozen eggs can sit nicely on top of one another on the floor of the fridge, and as implied, a full gallon of milk fits on the second-highest shelf. (Other things can fit, too: hanging out with the gallon of milk I have a full Brita pitcher, some heavy cream–just picture a big yogurt container–cottage cheese, store-bought hummus in a tub, and three 32-ounce glass bottles of organic fruit juices. And I think the small bag of carrots is on that shelf, too.) The third shelf, just below the freezer area, is short in height in terms of storage space, but it can hold at minimum another carton of eggs, an 18-egg option (three rows), as that shelf is deeper than the “floor” area of the fridge. In the tiny freezer I presently have two hard ice packs (wasting space, as I never use such things), two blocks of Kerrygold butter, a very frozen package of ground beef, and a plastic container filled with four peeled bananas–for smoothies, of course. So the freezer does hold a bit, although its shape does not readily allow tall items to be frozen.I will mention that while my shipping box was damaged, supposedly in transit (I could see completely inside of it to the unit), the little refrigerator, itself, was perfect upon unpacking it. I did let it stand upright for about five hours before plugging it in. At first, the chilling ability seemed lackluster but, as mentioned, now that it is full of things it keeps my food rather cold. :)Although the price was a bit higher than desired (my second fridge ordered, a retro-styled Frigidaire at about the same size, was $100+ cheaper) I am still very happy with my purchase. We will see how the two compare once I have both. Either way, between the two of them, I will have about the same amount of fridge space as my massive unit that is still presently dying; only the freezer space will be greatly compromised. And gone will be the days that I can store a whole, roasted chicken in a pan in the fridge overnight, but–c’est la vie.

Works great
I had a hip surgery on Wednesday. This is next to my bed. Freezer big and cold enough for multiple large ice packs and frozen burritos. Kept cottage cheese and drinks fine in fridge but so cold it froze deviled eggs. Study enough to lean on to get to my walker. Chose it because I have the microwave same brand so I knew it would be aesthetic and reliable. Will take to my classroom after I heal. My friend who assembled it did not put on the cute handles yet as I need room for my legs as I get in and out of bed. Doesn’t get hot on top so can keep pills up there. .

Received with dents
The fridge itself is great. It’s roomy. Works really well and is cute, too! However, I received it with two dents to the door. I covered them with large magnets because I needed it the next day. So, product good! Shipping… not so good.
