✅ Nakamichi Corporation Ltd. founded in 1948 by Mr. Etsuro Nakamichi, is a Japanese consumer electronics brand that originated in Japan and gained popularity from 1970s onwards from producing high quality audio cassette decks to design-oriented home cinema audio systems, speakers, Hi-Fi systems, sound bars and automotive stereo products.
✅ Nakamichi FanLock banana plugs fit directly into your audio component binding posts seamlessly, saving you the hassle of screwing in or unscrewing speaker wire – especially when space is tight.
✅ This set of FanLock Excel Series – 24k Gold plated banana plug uses direct gold-plating technology so it does not tarnish or corrode over time. The entire core from the bottom up to the tip is made of copper for better sound optimisation.
✅ The gold colour looks dull because there is no underlying layer of shiny, distortion-causing nickel. So, all you get is clean and pristine audio quality to your speakers. With the colour coded sleeve, it helps identifying speaker wire’s polarity in order for your speakers to produce the truest audio frequencies and sound wave from the source.
✅ FanLock design ensures the banana plug stays securely connected to the speaker wires. Installation takes only seconds without the use of any screws, and you’ll have peace of mind knowing the sleeves are non-conductive.
✅ Nakamichi FanLock Excel Series banana plugs comes with 3-Year warranty and supports 10 AWG – 18 AWG speaker wires. This package comes with 24 Pcs (12-Pairs) of FanLock banana plugs.

The Best
I’ve been an audiophile for over 60 years so I’ve seen plenty of speaker wire claims and banana connectors, but these Nakamichi Fanlock plugs are, without question, the best ones I’ve ever used. This plug eliminates having to deal with tiny screws and the connection is rock solid. Works with 10 AWG – 18 AWG speaker wire. Liked them so much I bought more. Highlly recommended product.

Nakamichi vs Sewell and general uninformed impressions.
I needed a bunch of banana plugs, but I just got a receiver that uses spring type terminals, so I went with the Sewell Deadbolt Flex Pin Banana Plugs. The Nakamichis win, hands down. I do like the flex pin design. It’s like an inch and a quarter of tightly braided gold thread. Possibly just textured. They feel better than bare wire. The build quality on the Nakamichi seems better. The sewells look very similar, but aren’t as substantial. This is partially true for their weight, not that the Nakamichis are heavy, just heavier in the sewells. The Nakamichis also have little extra touches, like a washer on each plug.I’m using 14 awg wire, so there is space between the inside of the connector and my speaker wire. It’s a little goofy. I imagine I should be using the thickest awg I can. I’m sure that will solve the problem and improve sound.I love how easy they are to install. I had trouble stripping a small enough notch at first. You only need to strip about a quarter to a half inch. One thing to keep in mind is that copper strand that short can be stiff. A piece broke the sling once. It wasn’t a problem, just finger those copper tips lightly. Don’t push down but pull away the strands. It’s super easy. They sound right. There’s no problem I can attribute to them. The connections are good.

Great Product and Easy to Install
I like this product a lot I was waiting for it longer then normal but well worth the wait. My old set up with loose speaker wire was so ugly. These cleaned it up and work great.

Solid build, easy to assemble, but socket retention isn’t great
I typically use Monoprice closed screw type banana plugs, but recently switched to using FosPower and GearIT dual set screw style plugs. The set screw style is the most forgiving when you start using lower gauge wire. The Monoprice plugs were just chewing up my fingers on the 12 awg wire.I decided to give these a shot because it’s a decent brand and the there’s a couple other plugs out there just like them (including an Amazon Basics plug). These are definitely worth their weight… The plugs are fairly heavy compared to all my others. They are also the easiest to assemble, didn’t chew up my fingers, and played nice with my 12 AWG wire. However, the problem came when I actually plugged them into the banana plug sockets. I would say about 80% of them stay fully engaged in the socket. The others wanted to pull out about 40-60% from the weight of the cable. While this is a bit less than ideal, the plug still makes solid contact. The reason the plug is able to pull out is the how long pin’s flared pieces are. I originally thought that would be good, but there’s just not enough spring action to make it pop back out after being inserted. I ended up using a small knife to pry them up a bit. This has helped, but the plugs still pull out slightly.

Great with 10awg speaker wire. Will not fit 8
Very nice. Takes a sec to make sure to strip the wire the correct amount and tucked in but very good. I used with 10 gauge KnuKoncepts ofc speaker wire and the fit is perfect and they are very strong. Just note they will stick out a bit from your amp so if you don’t want that you may want an angled banana plug. Smaller size wire will not fit quite as good. To fit 8awg you would need to trim some copper strands off.

Very nice RCA connectors
I recently rewired some of the connections in my entertainment center. I needed a bit more wire length between components. Prior to these RCA connects I was using a double screw connector which worked well but seemed to get loose during adjustments. Due to short wire length they also occasionally allowed the wiring to be pulled out of the connector. I decided to give these a try as they looked well made and also a bit shorter and smaller in overall size. While a bit harder to actually plug into the connections on my equipment, once seated correctly they seemed more secure. I also had a bit more space to work with size wise. You do have to be careful not to have too much excess bare wire when putting them together, but once you get the strip size correct they are pretty easy to work with. I think these will work well in my system. They are nice and heavy and appear well made.

These new banana plugs are so good that I actually threw away my old banana plugs. Nakamichi’s system for attaching the plugs to the end of the cable is so innovative and easy to use that it makes my old plugs look worthless by comparison. The fan-spread system provides the most solid connection I’ve ever had in a banana plug, and the way the copper wires spread out for maximum surface contact area should provide excellent conductivity too.

Really nice plugs. Solid sturdy feel. I like how the design allows for more flexible usage (curve) over the traditional design.Attaching them is a bit getting used to and requires to cut your bare cable shorter. I didn’t hear any positive or negative effect using them (vs no plugs). But It’s the convenience of quickly switch devices.
