Step one: Lose that gray ring part
Well of course I lost that stupid ring before I even turned it on. For real, I pulled it off to charge it and Poof! Gone.Why, what did you do with it?Where do I buy the gray part that needs to be fully detached in order to charge the device? Anybody? Bueller?It’s pretty accurate. VERY accurate, actually. Scrolling through the menus could be smoother. All in all, it’s a nice little rig. Well, aside from that bad decision to feature a fully removable cover for the charge port. That’s just silly with a small device like this.

Great tool for accurate measurements on the go!
I’m building a house, and the NeoRulerGO has been a lifesaver. The scale feature makes it super easy to estimate distances, which has been really helpful on-site. I also love how I can save measurements and access them later, especially when I’m heading to the store. The laser and rolling measurement features work well, even on curved or odd-shaped surfaces. Plus, it’s pocket-sized and rechargeable, which makes it convenient to carry around. Highly recommend it for anyone who needs quick, accurate measurements!

Impractical
I like this thing. The build quality is great! But there are some questionable design choices, like the metal keyring piece coming all the way off – which you have to remove it in order to charge the device. That’s just asking for it to get lost. I would make the metal bit non-removable and try to fit the charging port elsewhere.Also I see it as kind of impractical – You need to be very precise when using it. The roller has to stay perfectly parallel with what you’re measuring, which is hard when you have shaky hands like me, or you have poor motor skills. If you turn it at all, your measurement is screwed up.Some say the UI is weird and confusing. To me, it’s really not. Two buttons, and the wheel, which you don’t need to use for navigation. One of them is a ‘select’ button, and one navigates the menus & changes the measuring mode. You can swap the functions of these two buttons in the settings menu.You can also convert a measurement you just took, by going back up to the unit selector and changing it to the one you’re looking for. Inches, millimeters, centimeters, feet, feet+inches, etc. Plenty of choices.Personally I don’t have a reason to use the scale feature, but I see how it could be useful.

Easy to use tool
Needed this in my tool box! Makes it easy to line things up quickly without a pen and ruler. It is the size of 3 fingers, so easy to store. Needed for every handy girl

Every now and then little gadgets come along that you didnt realised you needed until you find them – this is one such item.When I ordered it I was expecting it to be a lot larger than the item that arrived and initially I was a bit disappointed as I thought it would be like a smaller version of a road measuring wheel (which it kind of is…a very small version). It didnt take me long to realist though that its small size is one of its most useful properties.In essence it is just a measuring wheel but it comes with a range of functions that give it a whole host of uses. The first thing to mention is the screen – it is a bit of a secret affair as it shines through the dark case and you cant even see there is a screen until it is on – it looks cool I suppose. Control wise there are two buttons and the wheel itself. Navigation t hrough the menus and settings is not the most intuitive I have experienced in fact it can get confusing until you get used to its idiosyncracies; if anything I’d say that this is the weakest point of the device. There are a wide range of options and settings you have to choose from before you can get down to actually measuring and moving form one to another with the controls can get frustrating. There are different units to choose from and engineering scales to set as well as if the unit is is ruler mode or scale ruler or customised scale ruler.Once you have regained your composure having set the device up for what you are measuring, its just a matter of double pressing the left had button and a laser cross hair is projected downwards and you then roll the device along the surface to be measured. If you reverse the direction of the roll, this is subtracted from the reading which is a nice touch. Simply lifting the device off the surface so that the wheel stops and the laser is no longer reflected sets the reading. The cross-hair is very fine which allows you to use it for very detailed measurements. Charging the unit requires pulling off the alloy handle – I dont know why it is designed this way as it is a nuisance to do (although the battery does last for a decent lenght of time).This is a nice little device – for measuring curves and the like it is very useful but for taking measurements off of drawings and maps, on anything drawn at scale its excellent – it does take a little getting used to but you can take more accurate measurments than if you were using a scale ruler or the like and again for curved or wavy lines it is invaluable. My main criticism is the navigation of the menus and it would be handy if you could store readings instead of them getting wiped when the next reading is taken but that aside really is an extremely handy little device.

Cool measuring tool, very well made, all the martials feel great and its just feels like a premium product with a lot of thought put into it.It can be a little awkward to use in some scenarios but its still easy to operate if that makes sense. I wouldn’t say its a replacement for a tape measure all together but for certain use cases it really shines. Especially measuring around curves or inside a tight space.The app is nice but not very intuitive to use, very easy to pair up though.Would make a nice gift it came very well packaged and presented.
