Makes light-duty cleaning go fast and even.
Normally when I pressure wash a driveway or patio, I get streak marks due to not being able to always keep the nozzle a consistent height above the surface, causing inconsistent levels of cleaning (not quite enough pressure in some places, too much in others, in streaks.) With this attachment, I don’t have that problem, and work goes considerably faster. It does tend to flip over when pushed forward, especially on rough or uneven surfaces. It would have to be a lot heavier not to do that, or with a better suspension than the brushes. So when moving it forward (away from me) I just let it float up a few inches and quickly moved it to start another pull stroke. Or, I moved it in side-to-side strokes or arcs (using different approaches to avoid repetitive motion problems. I’m 61 and not as supple as I once was.)To avoid semicircular streaks, I either moved slowly (about 4 seconds per foot) or else used multiple or overlapping passes. The great news was, the result was a very even cleaning. After finishing I took out the 0-degree nozzle to see how much dirt remained. I could see the path of the nozzle as a slightly cleaner path, indicating that the attachment nozzles didn’t do a 100% cleaning. I’ve used pressure washers for decades and rarely expect 100% clean for things like driveways and patios; that would take a lot of extra work that would be wasted within a month or so. The point is to avoid build-up of grime (or remove build-up when moving to a new place.) This attachment meets that need perfectly, and makes the job a lot quicker and easier. For really bad cases, as shown in some review pictures, you’d need a lot more time and/or a lot more power to clean it all up evenly. The case I just did was after moving into a new house with a patio that hadn’t been cleaned in 10 or 20 years, and it did the trick. This attachment won’t get the greenish little round spots that I think are either pitch from trees or mildew — they’re nasty and always take a pretty narrow high pressure beam. So I clean up the whole area first, and then concentrate on the problem spots without the attachment.Don’t expect to strip paint with this attachment. It’s really best for routine maintenance cleaning. I expect to use it once a year, and it’s a bargain for what it does.I cleaned about 200 square feet in about 30 minutes. It will go faster next year, since I won’t have the built up grime from over a decade.

Once I figured it all out… it works great!
I read a ton of reviews, mostly bad ones. I ordered, anyway… on a hunch.I was right. The instructions are essentially worthless. Here’s what you do:1. Using an adjustable wrench or channel locks, remove the metal spray wand from your spray handle… that means, remove from where the brass bolt goes up into the plastic handle piece. Only one way that can be done. It’s easy to do and takes about 30 seconds.2. Screw the wand onto the handle where you just took off the other part. Keep tightening until it’s snug. You don’t have to whale on it. Just snug.3. set up your pressure washer.4. It’s all in the stroke… just like golf. I tried every combination of motions I could come up with. They made cool designs on my driveway, but didn’t clear the mold, mildew, and algae. I spent a good 20 minutes trying alternatives until I hit pay dirt.Remember “wax on, wax off” from the Karate Kid movie franchise? Same concept here. The key is also not to work hard at it. Simple and easy.a. Hold the wand by the handle and let the surface cleaner rest evenly on the surface.b. pull the spray trigger to get the machine pumping water.c. slowly, keeping the surface cleaner parallel to the floor and not pushing down hard, ease the wand straight forward a couple of feet.d. Stop and slowly draw it back toward you over the same area. That’s it!5. Just keep practicing that maneuver until you begin to see even cleaning. It’s one of those “you gotta hold your tongue right” things, so just practice without grinding down on the unit. It works just fine with light even pressure.Once I figured it out, I got my driveway cleaned in about an hour. previously, that would have only gotten about 1/6th of my driveway cleaned up.I’m happy with this surface cleaner and glad I determined to experiment until I could get it right. It is light weight and doesn’t look like it has any power to it. But, once you line it up and let it rest on the surface, you can really get with it.I hope this helps. By the way, I’ve had my Sun Joe 3000 unit for over 2 years. After about a year, the wand stopped allowing me to put nozzle tips on. I emailed their customer service and received a new spray wand, free, in short order. It has been the best pressure washer I’ve ever owned (although I’ve only owned 3 others, so far). It has outlasted two of them, and is still running strong. I use it on the house, cars, boats, RV, etc etc. It’s been sturdy and faithful…. and, LOL, I wasn’t paid or promoted to write this review… I’m just very happy with the results, the price, and the overall product. I’m just about to turn 65 and really appreciate a tool that performs as good or better than claims!

The first time I used this, I hand tightened the spinning nozzle arm too tight. It prevented it from spinning at top speed at it even stopped spinning at times.I thought that this product was a dud and wasn’t much faster than just using a nozzle and I couldn’t understand how other reviewers were talking about how much faster this attachment was.Well, chalk this up to user error! I loosened the tightening cap by 1/8 – 1/4 turn and it was like flipping the turbo switch! The spinning arm was incredibly fast and cleaned my patio stones in 1/3 to 1/2 the time!Left to right, top to bottom worked great! Super value for about $20 – cleaning my patio is so much faster now than using a nozzle.

When you know it’s limits, it’s a great tool. We washed the whole deck over the weekend, and this made it a breeze. As others have mentioned, the sweeping motion needed is side to side, so if you push the head foward and back, it tilts. As long as you take your time, this is a handy tool.

Waste of money.

I bought this for my 1900 psi washer from sunjoe so that I could clean my driveway. When i first opened the package, i noticed that the dome was freekishly small. After installing the cleaner to the pressure washer, i found that it didn’t want to stay flush with the ground and the rear (where I would be standing) would lift up and lost whatever cleaning power it had. For the actual cleaning, all it did was leave a swirl marks on the pavement and basically did zero cleaning or need to leave the tool in one spot for long time. This loses the purpose of the tool as i can just use the pressure washer to clean the pavement instead. This is a useless tool! Do not buy!
