Scanner for the home budget
Because of the price, I was expecting a cheap product. I’ve used the scanner for a while as it has already saved me a great deal of time. My flat be scanner works great but it was a slow process to swap documents and photos. This is much quicker and since it is able to scan both sides at the same time, it saves even more time. Overall, I’ve been impressed with this little scanner and the software that comes with it.

Decent scans from a device that doesn’t need much room
I received this yesterday. I installed the software on two different Windows computers. One is an older, fairly slow desktop. The other is a more recent notebook. Both are running Win10. The device works well on both machines.I’m coming at this from the aspect of someone who regularly uses a business-class scanner and the quality of scans from a device of that type. I tempered my expectations. While the quality of the scans with this device doesn’t reach the level of the business-class scanner, the results are certainly serviceable. I was able to improve the quality by adjusting the brightness and contrast. The device does make a fair amount of noise, although not at a disturbing level. I have not found an issue with feeding documents, although occasionally I had to re-insert a document to get the device to grab the paper. I have scanned various weights and thicknesses of paper, all with good results. I even had one of those pieces that came from a financial institution that you strip the ends off of and separate with your finger, leaving a double-thickness that I wasn’t sure would scan well, but the device pulled it through and rendered a very acceptable result.Overall, this is a decent device for the price.

Great solution for remote scanning.
1. A bit tricky getting Raven desktop to download onto my lap top, but Raven support was excellent. very helpful friendly and patient staff. They followed up with emails and ticket numbers. First rate service!!!2. once set up scanners performs accurately, quickly and clear quality scans. If have to scan about 1400 ID cards in the field every year. I can now just plug it into my lap top and every scan comes quickly into the Raven cloud through the laptops wifi.I am one happy customer. If you are looking for fancy features and doodads this model is not for you. It does what it does very well.

UGH – Broken and Cannot get help
I purchased this in the summer to use in my classroom. I started using it and within 6 weeks it is no longer functioning. I submitted a “request” for help detailing the problem and have yet to hear back from the company. They’ve done nothing to contact me or help me. I cannot find a direct phone number that works. Hopefully I can get help soon!

Software is buggy
I installed the scanner as soon as it arrived and was impressed with it. The second time I tried to use it the application didn’t work. It didn’t show any of the options I had saved and most of the display was blank boxes and empty drop down lists. I had to completely uninstall the software and start again. I think it requires a connection to their cloud service even if you want to keep everything local. If privacy is a concern you might want to choose a different product.

Great little scanner
Nice scanner, esp for receipts and other small jobs. Easy to set up (use MacBook Air) and scans quickly to send to folder. Time saver for me, for sure. One thing is different from instructions (slide paper guide, but no paper guide), but easily figured that out. No need to use tech support, so can’t comment on that.

Nice dual side scanner.
Setup was slightly confusing. Still figuring out stuff, but what I have scanned looks really good.

Super easy and compact
Super compact and easy to put away if my desk gets too cluttered. Scans everything with ease and images come out just as clear at the originals. It’s easy to use and setup was a breeze.

As of December 31, 2023, Raven has gone out of business. I was not aware until I tried to use the scanner today, and it just won’t work because you cannot log into their servers to initiate scan. Everything is cloud based. However, if you are willing to install TWAIN driver and use another 3rd party PDF scanner (a lot of free apps out there), you can make the scanner work. Buyers beware!

Duplex works great.Receipt’s longer than 14” need to be torn to scan whole document.Scanner occasionally looses connection to computer and have to disconnect and reconnect to work.
