worked great for stacking our washer and dryer. Our washer and dryer were stacked for several years until we redid out laundry room. When we gave our washer and dryer away the new owners used the stacking kit at their home and to this day it is still working properly. The fit was good and it was a super easy install. The hardest part was lifting the dryer on top of the washing machine. It was super sturdy when it was all installed.

Easy to install with Whirlpool Duet Sport
This worked great for stacking my Whirlpool Duet Sport washer and dryer set. The instructions that came with it were very clear and easy to understand. The installation process involves leveling the washer, laying the dryer on its side, removing the feet, sticking the four black foam strips to it, stacking the units and attaching the clips. It’s pretty straight-forward but will definitely require two people.Here are the model numbers of the units I used it with:Whirlpool Duet Sport HT WasherModel: WFW8500SR00Whirlpool Duet Sport DryerModel: WED8300SW1

Excellent Product! simply and affordable
This product is very simple, some gaskets as well as metal clips that hold the machines together. Do not be fooled by the manufacturers and buy this from them at 2 times the cost, Amazon has it cheap and with free shipping! thank you again Amazon!

Not the right part (my mistake) but I made it work
I purchased this part on the advice of a Home Depot employee (probably should have been suspect form the beginning) for my Maytag 3000 series washer/dryer. This kit is made for the 2000 series but not the 3000. Further research indicated that the part I needed was no longer in production. The screw holes lined up but the clips were too wide for the slots in the back of the dryer so I ended up carefully measuring and grinding down the brackets to the correct width with an angle grinder. The modified clips work great and hold the washer and dryer together very securely. I’m not sure if it’s due to the new bathroom floor or the stacking, but the spin cycle is noticeably smoother that when the washing machine was not stacked.

Watch out for the mismatch on the bracket
This kit does the job, but it may require some metal work to use.Evidently there are three or four different size slots on the various duet and sport duet dryers.This kit did not fit as the dryer slot was not as wide as the bracket that holds the dryer onto the washer. I had to widen the slot by using a Dremel and a routing bit. It only took about ten minutes, but it would have taken a lot more effort with another method like a file.Another warning, you will need at least two strong individuals to lift the dryer unto the washer, a third person to direct the positioning was helpful also.

Perfect!
I recently bought a plain old “Whirlpool White” front loading washer and dryer. I was expecting them to be delivered and installed, but I knew I would have to provide a stacking kit for the installation. I had no idea which kit to get. This kit says it is for the “Whirlpool Duet Sport” and the “Maytag Epic Z” washers and dryers. So I am sure you can understand why I was worried it wouldn’t work for my particular washer and dryer. Long story short, it worked perfectly! Easy peasy lemon squeezy! The delivery men had the washer and dryer stacked in no time. And it has held together great.I guess with something like this, it either works or it doesn’t. It does, and I was happy it worked with my washer and dryer.

Gotta love OEM tools
These fit perfectly on my washer and dryer. I was able to get my dryer up on my washer on my own (very light, and VERY bulky. Do not recommend – find help!).Once I had the dryer in place, it took me about 5 minutes to install. The strips look very thin, but are actually perfect for the job.

DO NOT FIT!
CAUTION! I have a set of new Whrilpool Duet washer and dryer. Brackets are the proper shape but about 3/4 of an inch too short vertically to fit the pre drilled holes on the appliances. I consulted both manuals extensively prior to ordering this stacking set for this new washer & dryer. I had to drill holes in the upper edge of the washer above the intended factory drilled holes. In the long run these brackets may work but don’t seem as secure as they would be if manufactured the proper length. I’ve run a few loads and so far I’m not impressed. Aside from that 12.00 is a lot for two small pieces of tin and some tape.
